"ng, ng Yan, President ng."
The assistant was extrely surprised, having no idea why ng Yan suddenly appeared at the filming set. She excitedly squeezed her way out and rushed to tell Huang Shan about it.
"Are you sure you didn’t mistake soone else?"
"No, no, I even asked the staff nearby. They said President ng just invested fifty million into the production. Sister Shan, I suggest you go and greet him—it’s a good chance to build so rapport."
Huang Shan had heard of ng Yan’s reputation for a long ti, but she’d never had the chance to et him. This was an opportunity she couldn’t miss. She imdiately snapped at her assistant, "Bring the mirror, I need to check my makeup."
"Here’s the mirror."
Huang Shan, wanting to leave a good impression on ng Yan, ticulously checked her makeup and outfit. Once satisfied, she adjusted her posture and squeezed into the crowd.
"Make so space, I’m coming through."
Huang Shan couldn’t bear the crowded scene. Wearing seven-centiter high heels, she was nearly pushed out several tis. Using all her strength, she finally made it to ng Yan’s side but almost stumbled in the process.
ng Yan glanced at the woman who had unexpectedly appeared in front of him. He cast a look at his secretary, who quietly inford him, "She’s the one who slapped Miss Hua Tiantian."
The secretary had already done thorough research. Upon hearing this, ng Yan remained indifferent toward Huang Shan, his icy deanor evident as he pretended not to see her.
Feeling awkward, Huang Shan composed herself, placed her hands neatly in front of her, and stepped forward with a flattering smile. "Hello, President ng, I’m one of the lead actresses in this film. My na is Huang Shan."
She deliberately emphasized the words "lead actress." ng Yan gave her a sidelong glance but didn’t reply.
Understanding that people like ng Yan often had peculiar tempers, Huang Shan wasn’t offended. Instead, she leaned in closer. "President ng, are you staying to watch us film? I can give you a brief introduction to the story."
Not far away, Hua Tiantian watched Huang Shan cozy up to ng Yan and felt a wave of disdain. In her mind, she grumbled: he must be the type of man who can’t say no to won. Just look at how he doesn’t seem bothered by Huang Shan at all.
"Hmph, I thought he was different from other n; turns out he’s just the sa."
Fuming, Hua Tiantian pouted unhappily at ng Yan. Her assistant stood beside her, struggling to stifle her laughter.
"Are you jealous?"
"Who’s jealous? Stop stirring trouble! I would never be jealous over soone like that egomaniac."
The assistant teased, "Oh really? Then why are you glaring so hard at Huang Shan? Your eyes are practically popping out."
"Am I?" Hua Tiantian pulled a small mirror out of her pocket and examined herself carefully.
"Haha, hahaha."
Realizing the assistant was ssing with her on purpose, Hua Tiantian playfully swung her little fist at her shoulder in mock anger. "Oh, you’re teasing now, huh? Watch tickle you to death!"
With that, the two began chasing each other around the set.
ng Yan’s gaze had been fixed on Hua Tiantian the entire ti. Hearing her hearty laugh, his eyes unconsciously followed her movents. Seeing the playful scene between the two, a faint, serene smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
The director called both Hua Tiantian and Huang Shan over to discuss the adjustnts to their roles and the reshooting of previous scenes.
Hua Tiantian already knew about this, so she wasn’t surprised and deliberately kept her deanor calm and composed.
Huang Shan, however, wasn’t having it. Shocked and displeased, she stared at the director, her tone growing increasingly agitated. "Director, wasn’t everything already shot? Why are we reshooting? Didn’t we already agree on my role? I’m not switching roles with Hua Tiantian—I won’t!"
