Jin Jing held the door, not letting Xu Jiaojiao leave, but her indifferent look wounded his self-esteem. Out of the blue, he asked, "Do you still want to continue this silent treatnt with ?"
"I’ve made myself very clear just now. If you think I’m sulking and giving you the silent treatnt, then I have nothing to say. Also, this is my ho, please step aside."
Xu Jiaojiao’s words had a strange tone and questioning manner, which Jin Jing found unbearable as she pretended to be a stranger. Fueled with anger, he stord out.
Xu Jiaojiao looked down the empty hallway, at the open door, clutching her chest for a long ti before she could gather her thoughts. She knew clearly that if things went on, it might turn ugly. She didn’t want to reach that stage with Jin Jing.
Her assistant helped Xu Jiaojiao put her luggage in the trunk, she put on her sunglasses, and closed her eyes wearily.
"Sister Jiaojiao, didn’t you sleep well? Your complexion looks bad."
"It’s nothing, let’s go."
The assistant nodded and turned to the driver, saying, "Let’s drive."
Not long after Qin Miaomiao arrived at the company, Lin Xiaoxiao ca in, asking about the upcoming schedule, saying she wanted to focus on work and didn’t want to think about anything else.
"Did Mr. Song upset you again?"
Lin Xiaoxiao waved her hand at the ntion of Song Li’s na, "Stop! I’m not in the mood to talk about him right now."
Qin Miaomiao watched Lin Xiaoxiao and Song Li, like they were playing house, sticking to each other like conjoined twins when things were good. But when things were bad, they treated each other like enemies. She couldn’t fathom how their relationship had turned out this way, the more she thought about it, the more bewildering it seed.
"By the way, was last night’s dinner okay? You two must have wrapped it up well, right?"
As she spoke, Lin Xiaoxiao’s lips curved into a smile, while Qin Miaomiao found herself unable to smile, as she didn’t want to tell her about Jin Jing standing her up, in case she’d also rush to Xu Jiaojiao’s defense.
"Wanted you to co, but you didn’t."
"Didn’t I have sothing co up last minute? Also, Song Li insisted I go with him. By the ti I got back last night, it was almost midnight. Even if I ca, you’d have called it a night already."
Lin Xiaoxiao’s words gave Qin Miaomiao sothing to hold onto.
Considering how the two of them went from ignoring each other to now even going out together, it really made one’s imagination run wild.
"Oh, about the thing I asked you before, have you thought about whether there’s a suitable script for ? I want to check out the role in advance."
Qin Miaomiao nodded, suddenly thinking of sothing, "I have two scripts on hand, one I think is good, another is catering to market tastes, you’re probably tired of shooting that kind."
Lin Xiaoxiao got curious about Qin Miaomiao’s aning. Once she got curious, she couldn’t stop herself from digging deeper. So she moved closer to Qin Miaomiao, saying, "Just give a preview, at least let know what the story is about, what the relationship between the leading and supporting female characters is like."
"Didn’t you say before you felt like a dog every day, wanting to take more days off? Why aren’t you thinking of taking a break now?" Qin Miaomiao said, her gaze scanning Lin Xiaoxiao, looking at her eyes with curiosity and holding back laughter.
"Co on, don’t you know ? I just don’t want to be led by the nose by soone again." Lin Xiaoxiao continued, seeing Qin Miaomiao’s aningful look, "I’m too easily soft-hearted, especially toward him. I should be tough and not see him, make him realize he should treat better, or I’ll just run away."
"You run away? Last ti you ran to Australia, didn’t he also chase after you? The two of you even fight differently from others; a movie sequel could be made out of it." Qin Miaomiao looked at Lin Xiaoxiao’s disdainful expression and laughed.
