"Are you hungry?"

"Not really... I’m just worried you might be hungry!"

"I’m fine, let’s wait a bit longer."

"Alright."

After waiting for another five or six minutes, the server finally called their number. Ye Lingran was montarily stunned, thinking the number sounded familiar. She even checked it against the one in her hand, then quickly shook Yun Qi’s arm with a smile: "It’s our turn, let’s go!"

Yun Qi glanced at the delicate hand gripping his arm, a slight smile on his lips, and nodded: "Okay."

Perhaps noticing his gaze, Ye Lingran followed his eyes and realized she was unconsciously holding his arm. Her expression froze montarily, and she quickly retracted her hand with an awkward smile, then turned to walk into the restaurant.

Once seated, Ye Lingran scanned the QR code to order, then pushed her phone towards him: "Take a look, do you need anything else?"

Yun Qi glanced at her phone, raised an eyebrow, and smiled: "No need, you choose, order whatever you want to eat."

Upon hearing this, Ye Lingran retrieved her phone, worried about ordering too much for the two of them to finish, and placed the order. Since the room was heated and filled with hot pot steam, Ye Lingran began sweating within two minutes of sitting down, so she took off her scarf and coat, placing them on the rack beside her.

"Have you decided on going back to Nancheng tomorrow morning?" Yun Qi looked up at her with aningful eyes after the server had set the pot on the table.

Ye Lingran paused in her drinking, looked up at him with a smile, put down the cup in her hand, and nodded in response: "Yes, almost. The deadline for the previous project is only half a month away. Ling Quan called this morning; originally, I thought once your work was finished, we would go back together."

"Alright." Yun Qi raised his eyebrows and took out his phone to book tomorrow’s flight: "There are two flights to Nancheng tomorrow morning, one at 8:45 AM and another at 2:30 PM. Shall we take the latter? It takes about an hour to get from here to the airport, might be cutting it close."

"Sure."

Once the sides were served, Ye Lingran tied her apron, preparing to mix the dipping sauce. She looked at him: "Um... I’m going to mix the sauce. Do you want to bring so for you?"

Yun Qi glanced around; the sauce station was only about three to four ters away from them. He smiled: "No need, let’s go together!" Saying this, he picked up an empty sauce dish and went over with her.

"You don’t seem to eat spicy food much?" Observing her sauce with only a couple of chili pieces and the rest filled with scallions and other simple seasonings, he recalled how their previous als together were not very spicy either.

"Hmm?" Ye Lingran looked over upon hearing this, smiled at him, and nodded: "Perhaps it’s because I grew up with my grandmother, not really used to it. A little spice is okay, but too much is intolerable, which is unusual for a Nancheng person, right?"

"It’s okay, there are so in Nancheng who don’t like spicy food, like... my mom."

"Ah, your mother doesn’t eat spicy food either?"

"When you ca over to my house last ti, did you notice any particularly spicy dish on the table?"

As they chatted and returned to their seats, Ye Lingran seriously recalled the detail: "Ah! That’s right! You ntioning it, I hadn’t noticed."

During the al, they suddenly discussed design concepts, specifically a project Yun Group was aiming to bid for. Ye Lingran rembered: "Yun Xi asked and Cen Jin about this in the group a couple of days ago, asking if we had any ideas to recomnd to her. She was completely clueless about it. Previously, I said, since it’s a fashion-related project, it should be easy for Yun Xi. The dress she designed last month even featured in Lu Group’s fashion magazine, matching their newly launched jewelry perfectly, and receiving significant social feedback."

Upon hearing her, Yun Qi’s gaze deepened, looking at Ye Lingran more intently. He smiled warmly and elegantly, pondering montarily, then asked: "Suddenly I have a bold idea?"

"Hmm? What idea?"

"I want to offer you a high-paying job at my company as a designer. When collaborating on the Milan project with your company, I had this idea. If you’re a fashion designer, I’d consider any expense to bring you and Cen Jin into my company. Cen Jin previously suggested trying cross-industry collaboration to increase external sales and market impact. I had considered it before but never implented it, as there are both pros and cons." Yun Qi deliberately spoke in a joking tone but maintained a highly cautious and serious attitude when it ca to business.
