OuYang hurried downstairs, ordering everyone to look for all and each rooms inside the nightclub, demanding that none should be missed even for once. AiLin stood at the edge of a room, her head peeked out of a room once she realized that the people who had been chasing after her had emptied the corridor and made themselves to run the opposite side.
With a heavy sigh, she then turned toward XanXi who was still unconscious beside her. She wondered how this young man was still knocked out and recognize that he wasn’t actually drugged by only a sleeping drug but sothing much more fatal.
She clicked her tongue, muttering to herself, "Is he crazy? Feeding a kid with sothing that could kill him..." Xan Xi wasn’t in any condition to run with her, he seed rather knocked out and could only slump beside the escape staircase, finding that the young man wasn’t able to even move a bit of his fingers. He wasn’t soone easy for her to drag around either. She had been hiding him for a few minutes now to note that while she wasn’t too tired of dragging him around, she couldn’t actually hide him without anyone noticing due to his larger stature. Despite that, she wasn’t heartless enough to simply leave the young man here for own safety.
Not to ntion, no matter how much she had phoned Canary, there was no reply and she could only imagine that OuYang must have also taken Canary hidden sowhere in this nightclub.
Annoyance filled her heart. There were so many people earlier for her to hide around them but all of a sudden it had been emptied and she could only guess it must have been due to the ss she left in the earlier room. OuYang must have learnt what she done, got pissed off, and now was hunting down for her.
But what should she do? What can she do now?
There are quite a lot of n that guard OuYang, most of them being notably powerful which wouldn’t have matter if she took them alone in a one to one fight. Problem is, they would for certain co to her all at once.
She tapped her shoes uncontrollably, deciding what to do. Could she find Canary in ti? What if instead, Canary had been fed the sa drugs as XanXi?
When that thought flitted in her head, a suddenly anger fizzed in her heart. She realized that perhaps XanXi wasn’t the only victim that OuYang planned to turn into a blackmail material tonight.
What if Canary was...
Her eyes went dark again. She turned to XanXi and crouched down. Raising her hand, she lightly slapped the young man’s face only to frown, "I don’t think you can move but I know you can hear . Listen. I don’t know when you will be able to get on your own feet but I need you to call the police once you’re in a safer place. I’ll ask soone to call you an ambulance."
XanXi’s eyes trembled while looking at her. He questioned what she would do as this savior of his had protected him against AnHan and his disgusting acts but could she really go against everyone in this club? Those guards and bouncers who were twice bigger than her?
He tried to shook his head but his neck muscles weren’t cooperating to him, much to his frustration.
"Don’t worry, I can take care of them and bring you to safest place, I just wish you would imdiately ask them to call the police here before it’s too late," AiLin said calmly to the young man, knowing that he had gone through a lot and he shouldn’t suffer more by staying around here for long. But she cannot afford her own best friend falling into the sa trauma that had scarred her soul so deeply for years now.
XanXi then felt his body supported again by AiLin’s shoulders and how easily she had brought him up as though this wasn’t her first ti. She then kicked out the ergency door which they had hid from and made their way to the lower floor which was the basent.
AiLin looked at how there were a couple of OuYang’s subordinate running around the place, clearing the cars when they made their way toward her. She easily sneaked behind them in a mont of inattentiveness, then brought OuYang into the slope where the cars would drive out from. As they climbed up the slope, soone yelled, "THERE! I FOUND THEM!"
AiLin gritted her teeth and ran even faster, having three people after her from the back, each holding a baton on their hands.
She imdiately reached the outside entrance, the only place that wasn’t locked by the doors as she expected the entrance had been locked down. Once she reached outside, she saw a couple of bystanders who were passing by the road when they witness AiLin who had rushed outside while helping a man around her shoulders, "AMBULANCE!" She yelled at the couple.
The couple looked at her face in a stun and then behind her. They quickly feared that AiLin had sothing to do with the gangsters who were chasing after her and instead of helping, they ran away for their safety, fearing that the gangsters would only co after them.
AiLin ignored what had happened and then turned to find a taxi that was parked not too far. She pushed the lady who was about to enter, shoved XanXi inside and then stared at the alard taxi driver, "Bring him to the nearest hospital! He’s been drugged on his system, they should be able to wash out whatever inside his stomach as soon as possible. If you can, please call the police as well to the Sparrow Nightclub."
"You—" the taxi driver saw the n running after her and was about to refuse when AiLin raised her purse and pulled out all the cash she had inside her bag. "TAKE IT AND GO!"
The taxi driver said nothing else before driving off once she had closed the door. AiLin clicked her tongue, dismissing the irk she felt upon seeing how the taxi would only move after she had tossed money but she didn’t dwell for long and ran away from the n, hiding between the gaps of two building and watching as they ran to where she should have gone while yelling for nas.
