OuYang offered him a smile, "The Boss of Cage Company. The loan shark."
"You an Canary," Li ZiChen said for the man in front of him with a wound across his palm to look back at him in a brief surprise.
"You know Miss Canary?" But OuYang shook his head, "Miss Canary indeed ca but the real Boss of the company, Miss AiLin had ca to talk with . We were discussing a business proposal which I believe would also interest you, Mister Li." As OuYang reached to the room he had entered earlier, he opened the door knob only to frown when he saw it was empty. He looked to the bodyguard beside him and asked, "And where could Miss AiLin be?"
Li ZiChen’s expression was unreadable when he demanded for an answer, "AiLin was here?"
"Do you know her?" Ou Yang was surprised again, "Oh, did you two planned to co here together?"
"Do you know her?" Li ZiChen repeated the question, staring deep into his soul that made OuYang to feel a sweat forming on his forehead.
OuYang pressed his hand behind his back and shook his head.
It wasn’t a surprise that the trash didn’t rember AiLin even after hearing her na. OuYang since high school had always been slow to uptake and would only repeat similar illegal activities because his brain couldn’t co up with a better or a safer thod to turn rich.
Li ZiChen then moved backward and curled his finger, calling Taiyo who was standing behind him and ordered to his ears, "Find AiLin. Make sure you do it quietly without her knowing."
"Hooray!" Taiyo made a gesture of happiness of finally being able to et the so called AiLin when Li ZiChen who had looked at this attitude of him with a frown.
"No." Li ZiChen uttered before calling Tsuki instead, "Tsuki, go find AiLin. It’s better to trust you than your older brother."
Tsuki laughed while Taiyo appeared pissed off. He kicked his brother as the latter walked away from the spot and making his way down to the first floor with a triumphant smile.
Li ZiChen then turned back to OuYang and went inside the room without asking. He then sat down on the couch, similar position to where AiLin had sat down earlier before crossing his legs and making the place as his own. He then pointed toward OuYang, "Bring an alcohol."
"Uh?" OuYang was surprised by Li ZiChen’s brazen attitude. He had thought that Li ZiChen was soone more impassive and frigid, not knowing that he would be also demanding and aggressive. "What kind of drink would you like? I would tell my staff to bring it here as soon as possible."
"No. I want you to get it for ," Li ZiChen said without looking at him, "I’m sure a partnership start with the right drink. So if you would, fetch the best drink you have to offer here. Preferably a liquor."
OuYang clenched his jaw. He wanted to be mad as Li ZiChen was obviously looking down on him but he couldn’t say it out loud as he couldn’t offend Li ZiChen and suffer the effect of his action. He pulled a polite smile, promising, "I’ll find you the best alcohol to smooth over tonight’s matter," and when he turned, his smile fell off, showing his abrasive nature as he stomped his way out of the corridor. Taiyo who was standing not too far overheard as OuYang whispered to his trusted bodyguard and demanded him a few points, "...in the cellar."
"Should we release Canary now, Boss OuYang?" The bodyguard inquired him.
"What? No!" OuYang gritted his jaw, "First find where Miss AiLin had gone to. I thought by holding her subordinate captive she would bow down to us but who knew that Li ZiChen would co here tonight too?!"
Truthfully, OuYang’s plan tonight was to borderline threaten AiLin to sway and loan him money. He believed that he didn’t need to threaten her after seeing that not only was she gorgeous and seed like the perfect won to be by his side, he also thought that she would agree to his plan and would work with all the cris he had planned as it would generate them money. The kids in the nightclub were nothing but cash cows to him and he had imagined that AiLin would agree to him no questions asked. Yet now she’s gone and possibly she had noticed that her subordinate was holding captive.
It couldn’t be worse than this. OuYang clicked his tongue impatiently. If AiLin found out about what he had done to Canary, she would be angered and this would perhaps offend Li ZiChen’s mood and spoil his entire career. Not to ntion, it seed that Li ZiChen knew AiLin and perhaps offending her will also offend him— He couldn’t let this happen!
He needed to find AiLin, cover his initial plan and return Canary back to her, pretending that what he had done was nothing but a silly little mistake. That would sway her and make her leave for now, allowing for a rain check on the eting.
As he hurried his n to find AiLin, Li ZiChen stood up from the couch. He stared at the glass of whisky that was settled on the table holding the lipstick mark on the curve of the glass. That familiar pink shade of lipgloss stuck with him as he had seen her wearing the sa color before. He would never mistaken that lip shape either and knew for certain that she was also here a few monts ago.
He made his way out of the door, finding his n who had gathered at room across his with the door slightly ajar. They imdiately stood up seeing that he had rose out of the room but he raised his hand toward them, letting them know that they should remain in place and then walked back to his earlier spot where he had seen a drop of blood at the carpet beneath his shoes.
The drop of blood coincidentally stopped in front of the room neighboring to the earlier one and once he pushed the door open, he was greeted with a hot ss. There were three n on the ground, all bloodied with nose and perhaps so ribs broken. The size of the punch was small, aning it was done by a woman tho it was powerful enough to break one of the n’s nose until it was bent out of shape. There was a woman near the couch, suffering from similar injuries though she was still slightly conscious as she stared at Li ZiChen in alarm.
"H- HELP! HELP !" The woman cried out. "A C- CRAZY WOMAN CA HERE."
"How did she look like?" Li ZiChen inquired with a cold air, dismissing her cry and cutting her off before she could appeal to his pity.
The woman was confused as he seed to not care that so many people were hard and instead was more curious of the woman who had attacked them. She wanted to shout she doesn’t know but the man was so handso that she forgot her annoyance and respond to his question obediently, "She was crazy— she had a crazy look on her eyes, she had a foxy type of gaze and her hair was long. She was taller than normal girls and—"
"—I see," he then turned away and closed the door behind him, leaving the woman in shock. She was about to haul curses, angrily cursing that the man didn’t want to help her out but she could still scream and perhaps soone would help her.
With the thought she was about to muster a yell but then the door opened again and Li ZiChen re-entered the room, making her smile as she thought he had approached her to help her out. But right as she was thinking so, Li ZiChen reached out his hand around her neck and tightened his grip slowly, "I forgot. I should keep you quiet before you yell for unnecessary help."
