anwhile, the trio of faeries were looking at them from afar. They dared not to intervene, because they realized that their darling truly loved the Dusk and Dawn Stars as if they were her own family.

It was a complicated situation, because they weren’t supposed to be close.

The faeries and these cursed beings were like the sun and the moon, or sumr and winter. They complented each other, but were never ant to be together.

And once they witnessed how their darling and the Dusk Star kissed, they beca even more agitated and worried.

Jan Keke pulled Crush Tutu’s hand and asked, "Tutu, what should we do? Our darling has fallen for that monster. What would Grandma Tree and the elders think if they saw this?"

"S-should we try to separate them? But I don’t think we are strong enough..." Bold Dodo admitted.

Crush Tutu kept her eyes on the pavilion and sighed. "There is nothing we can do about this, at least not us. We should wait for the faerie elders to co."

"Do you think they will separate them?" Keke asked.

"... They certainly will..." Tutu answered. "Maybe this is the last ti our darling will feel the warmth of love from a man, since she is supposed to be pure of all desires..."

"At least they won’t have to see this firsthand," Dodo said. "It’d be bad if the elders saw their darling kissing the cursed being."

Crush Tutu wanted to signal her friends to return to the main chamber and allow their darling to have so ti alone, but her heartbeat suddenly accelerated as she sensed a few faeries using their small powers to control the plants not far from the kingdom.

"Keke, fly up and check the surroundings. I have a bad feeling about this," Crush Tutu commanded. "Look in the direction of the south."

"Got it!"

Jan Keke flew up high and used her natural talent for scouting. She saw flickers of lights like a bunch of fireflies, but she knew they couldn’t be fireflies because they were flying so fast toward the faeries’ direction.

Jan Keke’s eyes widened. She flew down imdiately and alerted her friends. "The elders! The elders and many soldiers are flying in this direction!"

"What?!" Tutu and Dodo reacted at the sa ti. They knew nothing good would co from having the elders see their darling’s intimate mont.

So Crush Tutu racked her brain, trying to find a way out. Once she got an idea, she said, "Keke, Dodo, let’s fly toward their direction and stop them. We need to halt their movent at least until our darling has finished her ti with the Dusk Star!"

"Understood!"

Thus, the trio of faeries flew to et their elders just to buy more ti for their darling.

General Gugu was leading the troop as they flew toward the palace where they could sense the trio faeries’ whereabouts.

However, General Gugu sensed that those young faeries’ energies were getting too close even though they hadn’t reached the palace yet.

General Gugu squinted and stopped in his tracks. He raised his hand, signaling everyone who rallied behind him to stop.

Then, the trio of faeries finally reached them first.

"General! You shouldn’t co just yet!" Crush Tutu yelled at the General and his troops.

The young faeries were catching their breath as they hovered right in front of General Gugu, Healer Roro, and their troops.

"Why not? Did sothing happen to our darling?" General Gugu asked, but the trio of faeries didn’t give an answer and chose to feign exhaustion first.

"Tutu, why are you here? Shouldn’t you attend our darling?" Healer Roro asked in a gentler tone than the General.

"E-Elder, you should wait until morning before you et our darling. She’s still asleep!" Crush Tutu lied through her teeth, sothing that she had never done before, but she had to in order to protect her darling. "Our darling doesn’t like to be disturbed in her sleep!"

"Then we can just stand guard outside to protect her!" General Gugu replied. "Besides, from what we heard, the one who erected this kingdom is none other than the Dusk Star. Tell us the truth, Tutu, did that cursed being imprison our darling?!"

"NO!" the trio of faeries answered at the sa ti, fearing the worst between the faeries and the cursed beings.

"No? You an our darling is inside that palace of her own accord?" Healer Roro asked again, and this ti the trio of faeries were confused and doubtful about what to say next. "Say sothing, Tutu. You are the most knowledgeable here."

Crush Tutu gulped and nodded weakly. "Our darling is taking care of a kid that she sees as her own son. She’s safe and taken care of. You don’t have to worry."

"Then let us go and et her. I cannot be at ease until I see her with my own eyes," General Gugu insisted, but the trio of faeries kept blocking the way.

The General sensed sothing was wrong, so he asked, "The three of you aren’t trying to hide anything from us, are you?"

The trio of faeries shook their heads, but their eyes were filled with fear. General Gugu wasn’t so naïve faerie who was easily tricked.

He scoffed and said, "Step aside, kids. We’ll check on our darling first, because it seems that all of you are lying."

"N-no, we are not lying—" Crush Tutu was pushed aside by the General, and so were Jan Keke and Bold Dodo.

In the end, the three of them were put under the care of Healer Roro, who warned them not to make trouble.

"This is a very sensitive situation. The three of you shouldn’t ss around."

"B-but..." Tutu was on the verge of tears as she knew that it was inevitable for the elders to find out about their darling and the Dusk Star’s relationship.

Healer Roro patted Crush Tutu’s head. "And you shouldn’t make your grandpa worry. He has been thinking of you for days and nights. The three of you will return imdiately with us once we bring our darling to Grandma Tree."
