"Little auntie, little auntie!"
"Master, have you seen my little auntie? Uncle Qie Yue said my little auntie was with you." The little child looked at Zi Xiao and asked, with a bit of a wobble as they walked, their question to Zi Xiao was sweet and sticky.
"Is this Nian Hua’s child?" Dugu Qianye’s flush slowly faded as she looked at the child and asked.
"Nian Hua is my mother’s na, are you my little auntie?" the little child asked.
"What’s your na? Who is your little auntie?" Dugu Qianye asked.
"My na is Nian Zhixin, my little auntie is called Dugu Qianye, she’s my mother’s good friend. They said she has erged from seclusion, and out of curiosity, I ca to see," the little child answered, "Are you my little auntie?"
Little auntie is her?
Dugu Qianye squatted down, patted Nian Zhixin’s head, and said with a smile, "I am your little auntie!"
"Really? Little auntie, you’re so pretty!" Nian Zhixin hugged Dugu Qianye’s hand with her small, short arms and said, "Mother said my little auntie is pretty, just like Zhixin is pretty!"
"Nian Zhixin, where have you run off to now!" Nian Hua’s voice ca from outside, and after a mont, a young and handso man walked in.
"Is this Nian Hua?" Dugu Qianye looked at the completely changed man and exclaid.
Seeing Zi Xiao, Nian Hua paid his respects, then nodded at Dugu Qianye and ca over to pick up Nian Zhixin, "I told you to wait for at Uncle Qie Yue’s place, why did you run around everywhere?"
"Daddy, they said little auntie has co out of seclusion, so I ca to find her," Nian Zhixin said.
Nian Hua looked at his daughter’s aggrieved little face, and his heart lted instantly, asking, "Did you see your little auntie?"
Nian Zhixin pointed at Dugu Qianye and said, "Little auntie is really pretty, and she smiled at too!"
Dugu Qianye took a box out of her Space Ring, placed it in Nian Zhixin’s hand, and said, "I didn’t expect to find out I beca an auntie as soon as I erged from seclusion. This is a gift from your auntie for our first eting!"
"Thank you, little auntie!" Nian Zhixin put the box into her longevity lock, which was a Spatial Spiritual Tool prepared for her by Nian Hua.
"Your master and your little auntie have things to discuss. Shall we go back now? Your mother is still waiting for us at ho," Nian Hua negotiated with the little one in his arms.
Possibly reminded of her mother, Nian Zhixin nodded her head and said, "Okay!" Then she said to Dugu Qianye, "Goodbye, little auntie!"
Nian Hua left with Nian Zhixin in his arms, and only then did Dugu Qianye breathe a heavy sigh of relief. Seeing Zi Xiao looking amused, she glared at him and asked, "Is this what Nian Hua looked like when he was young?"
Zi Xiao nodded and said, "With Nian Hua being so young, Nian Hua naturally didn’t want to look like an old man. With all those elixirs that Nian Hua had, a little bit can bring one back to their youthful appearance."
"I didn’t expect that Nian Hua would look quite handso as a young man!" Dugu Qianye remarked.
Zi Xiao walked over, stretched out his long arms, and wrapped them around Dugu Qianye, asking, "More handso than ?"
Dugu Qianye rolled her eyes at him and said, "Narcissist!"
Zi Xiao laughed out loud and lowered his head to whisper in her ear, "Shall we continue?"
Before Dugu Qianye could answer, Uncle Qie Yue coughed twice from outside and then walked in. Seeing the two embraced, he said, "Do you have to rub it in for this lonely soul?"
Zi Xiao was already not pleased with being interrupted by Nian Zhixin, but he couldn’t exactly lose his temper at a little child over one year old, so he had to silently quench his annoyance. Now, just when he was about to continue with his little white rabbit, Uncle Qie Yue ca to interrupt them again, causing his pent-up irritation to finally burst forth. "I think you especially told Nian Zhixin!" Zi Xiao said cryptically, looking at Uncle Qie Yue.
Spooked?! Caught out!
Alarm bells rang in Uncle Qie Yue’s mind, but his smile on his face beca even more radiant.
"How could that be, definitely not! It must be that Nian Zhixin overheard by accident. How could I have told her on purpose!" Uncle Qie Yue countered. I just "accidentally" slipped up!
"Then why are you here now? Your news had better be important, otherwise..." Zi Xiao’s tone implied that Uncle Qie Yue ought to properly enjoy a reunion with those long-missed tortures!
"I’ve co to tell you about the Gold Spiritual Bead! Didn’t you ask to search for it? They sent news this morning, but just when we were discussing matters, you sent us away. Sigh!" Uncle Qie Yue looked at Zi Xiao as if it was his own fault, showing his innocence.
