In the past fifty years, Nomi Anderson Guesette walked between the cracks of the Outer World and the Four Nations.
She witnessed the residents of the Outer World who, after enduring twenty years of war suffering, still remained warm and hospitable, showing her, a foreigner, their worn-out machine guns and rocket launchers.
She saw warlords who, to earn huge profits, forced the people of settlents to cultivate addictive hallucinogens, only to have their necks snapped by her, their bodies thrown to be devoured by wild dogs.
The coldest, the most passionate, the gentlest, the most cruel—the world is colorful. If it can accommodate beauty, it must also accommodate ugliness; this is all part of nature.
’Everything is just the way it should be.’
During this long march, Nomi grew taller from initially being under 1.6 ters. She began exercising and learning, becoming stronger than those old Frost Plated won who claid to be ’oppressed by the male gaze’ yet were more dependent on n and societal support.
Her muscles gradually developed, and her abdon gained defined abs. She transford from a feigned little girl, pale and slender, to a straight-statured, passionate young woman standing at 1.87 ters tall.
Then, as she stepped into her thirties, the era underwent significant changes.
Firstly, after David Lyn’s reforms, the first batch of citizens grew into adults.
The new citizens, also called ’Indiscriminate Citizens,’ were born entirely to et the needs of the nation and society, each one being born through precise AI selection and undergoing long-term genetic cultivation and surgical enhancent adjustnts.
Their qualities far exceeded those of won and n from the past Frost Plated era. In a Creditism society, there was no unemploynt or poverty, although this led people to frequently suffer from ntal famine and even lose motivation. Nevertheless, under President David Lyn’s strongman interventions, the ’State-Enterprise-Worker’ Trinity of the Creditism spirit temporarily beca people’s pillar of belief.
Initially, Nomi thought this was a good thing.
Because the most important thing was that there was no longer any difference between n and won.
To completely eliminate gender differences, David Lyn’s eldest son, who was also the Minister of Finance, painstakingly designed a productivity-based system, no longer using simple currency, official positions, or assets to asure a person’s value, but rather using the efficiency and ability to create productivity to completely circumvent all of this.
Under the productivity-based system, the entire society no longer had corruption, but this was not a good thing,.
Because without corruption, no one was willing to participate in high learning cost, high operation difficulty, and no longer respected bureaucratic managent positions. Companies could not replace the governnt, especially unwilling to take on debt to maintain public affairs.
From the beginning of the execution of this regulation, the Frost Plating Federation was long mired in a lack of reliable bureaucrats.
David Lyn’s solution was to use AI bureaucrats and big data adjudication in tandem, but this approach completely erased the humanity of the grassroots mortals.
It’s difficult for people to contend with heaven and earth, while David Lyn turned people into a precise machine, nad Frost Plated, a machine operated under David Lyn’s control.
Du Zexin was the first to be disillusioned with this chanical nation.
Despite being a dragon’s success, a high-level federal ritorious official, faced with the country’s transformation into this form, the Minister of chanical Affairs, Du Zexin, was completely heartbroken with his forr idol, which turned to hatred, and he left for the Outer World alone.
Not long after, Nomi also left her holand with disappointnt, even though it was the new Federation she and her family and compatriots had worked so hard to achieve.
Nomi walked in the Outer World; she began collecting various books to read, worked as a factory worker in Grante, participated in counter-terrorism actions, gained a college diploma, and even went to remote areas to teach.
Fifty years is a long ti, enough to turn a little girl into a young woman, then train the young woman into a hot-blooded righteous knight, and then transform the knight into a diligent, straightforward laborer, who later puts down the screwdriver and picks up books to read.
In her early years, she was used to having long hair, seeking out new and exciting hairstyles, like perms, afros, and gradients,
After thirty, her passion gradually subsided, she began to braid her hair, later shaved it bald when she was a worker, then to a buzz cut, followed by short hair, and now it has turned into this casually disheveled hairstyle.
Her appearance aged very slowly. Her aunt passed away five years ago, her father followed half a year later, yet she still looks just over thirty, while her sa-aged comrades already have grandchildren getting soy sauce, and she remains alone.
However, the Frost Plating Federation, despite its many faults, at least thoroughly changed people’s concepts; family was no longer the most important existence. Nomi also knew that her genes had been recorded in the national gene bank, and perhaps sowhere she had a descendant most genetically matched with her.
Occasionally, she’d fantasize: If she could find that lifesaver who was still a cute little boy, could a beautiful tale erge?
——But reality leaves no room for fantasy.
Killing a warlord, among the civilians rescued, new warlords would erge. Rob the rich to help the poor, it would only create more poverty and lazy people.
The hardships of the Outer World cannot be salvaged completely, whether through violent repression or sacrificing at to relieve hunger, it cannot eliminate this status of the Outer World.
Only by defeating the Lord Entropy, conquering nature, is the only way out.
She gradually accepted this point, from a young naive innocence, to a youth split with passion, then to the sobering sadness of middle age, and finally to the numb indifference in her robust years.
