The human threshold for happiness is limited; if you are happy all the ti, you will beco bored and weary. Similarly, there’s a limit to the pain one can endure. After witnessing a hundred instances of suffering, numbness and weariness are bound to follow.

Ti pressed pause for Nomi Anderson Guesette.

Repeat, repeat again, forever relentlessly repeat.

Tragedies continued to occur, yet her heart no longer excited as it did initially; she even began to doubt her own immortality.

It would be better to die, to die and not worry blindly.

Except for feeling sorry for the one who saved her—yet, what if they were already dead?

She searched almost every corner of the Outer World but couldn’t find a trace of them. If this weren’t so third-rate novel or romantic fairy tale, then perhaps they were truly dead.

Thus, she gradually beca indifferent and no longer pursued the figure that saved her back then.

She left the Outer World, returned to her holand, and beca a small yet significant cell in this Society to serve.

Everything followed its course until the world faced destruction.

The shadow of Lord Entropy surged majestically from the high heavens, instantly destroying all the efforts of those on earth.

For fifty years, people tirelessly worked, building the Underground City, detonating nuclear blasts in the sky, combating nature’s fate—yet still t destruction.

The long night never ends.

’In a way, this might be good.’

For a mont, Nomi thought this.

’Finally, I can die.’

Facing the Angel Envoy of Lord Entropy, she could stand and face her death calmly, and that was enough.

However, Fate is truly a playful little ghost.

"You’ve grown taller, little one."

Just as she decided to give up everything to die, the Sun appeared.

A red-haired girl released compassion and rcy, a warmth so gentle that it enveloped Nomi completely without any sense of annoyance.

At this mont, Nomi felt an imnse warmth emanate from the small body in her arms, an unfamiliar yet familiar feeling arose spontaneously.

She did not know how to respond to the girl’s concern; her stiff muscles gradually revived in the Holy Mother’s embrace. Her face thawed, and she smiled for the first ti in a long while, gently embracing the girl and drawing her into her firm chest.

"Yes, I have grown."

Fifty years ago, the tall figure and the petite girl traversed the Outer World, undergoing a journey that nobody rembered.

Fifty years later, the sa tall figure and the petite girl, still in the Outer World, remained unrembered in any history books.

Nomi did not know the identity of the red-haired girl; lost mories were like missing data, a reality with no touching scenes to restore them.

But precisely because it’s reality, Nomi was very grateful for this mont.

"Thank you, true Deities..."

Nomi released the embrace, holding her knees with both hands. She wished to inquire about the girl’s identity. Over so many years, she never truly expressed gratitude to the one who had saved her, nearly losing the joy of living.

But now, seeing the girl’s red hair and those stunning crimson-golden eyes, made Nomi suddenly feel that the world isn’t so bad after all.

She opened her mouth, the world in front of her gradually blurred. Nomi wiped away the tears from her eyes and gazed at the elegant girl before her, saying:

"You’ve saved again. I truly thank you—thank you."

The girl nodded, looking at her, indicating she quietly listened to her speech.

However, after saying all this, Nomi fell silent.

What else could she say?

In actuality, after so many years, Nomi no longer knew what she was pursuing. One by one, those around her left, while she repeatedly resurrected, repeatedly forgot. Perhaps it wouldn’t be long before she forgot all her mories as well.

"What am I thinking?"

So, she smiled and then cupped the girl’s hands:

"All my wishes have been fulfilled. Having achieved this, I have no more regrets."

"Aren’t you going to ask my na?"

The red-haired girl asked calmly:

"Perhaps we won’t et again."

"Well, that’s not for sure. Who knows about the future?"

Nomi rubbed the burn scar on her forehead, grinning, revealing still-sharp teeth:

"You better not tell your na, this way I have a motivation to keep living."

"Living just to ask my na?"

The girl tilted her head slightly, her crimson-gold eyes blinking gently.

"I can’t help it. I thought about it; apart from this scar, I might eventually forget everything. Unable to die, as long as this immortal blood runs within , perhaps I really can’t die."

Nomi shrugged:

"In the end, I’ve experienced death too many tis and have repeatedly revived from it... Rather than death, I might be more afraid of living aimlessly and losing all mories."

"It seems not everyone wishes for immortality," the girl said, looking at the power of [Raiding] Pathway entwining Nomi’s body, feeling a bit incongruous. Then she pondered aloud: "If the Chief God (Redd Gold) of the Pathway could hear your perspective, I wonder what he would think? After all, he is entirely in pursuit of Eternity, a Madman indeed."

"Are the dreams of Deities inherently loftier than those of mortals?"

Nomi placed one hand on her hip, speaking casually:

"Being born as a human, I am very proud. Having lived until now, I have achieved all my goals. For , rather than becoming Deities or uploading my consciousness into a network to beco an immortal cyber ghost, I’d rather rest in peace, enter the world of the dead, and seek out my family and friends."

"Really? Yet, all biological beings pursue immortality and eternal life, don’t they?"

"So isn’t choosing to face death calmly a pretty cool thing?"

Nomi grinned and said:

"I say, this stunning beauty, you once saved , and now you can repel Lord Entropy, you must have a way to end my immortality, right?"

"... Is this your choice?"

The red-haired girl looked at her, confirming:

"If you request this from , I would tell you: I can."

"—You truly intend to take my life!"

Nomi made a face, sticking out her tongue, laughing:

"Wait until I find out your na, then you can take my life."

She glanced at the distant horizon, where the red-black clouds of Ersha were still swirling, speaking aningfully:

"Compared to , there are more people for you to save. I also plan to take action, using my humble ability to save this world."

"I have no obligation to save them," the red-haired girl said calmly.

"This isn’t about obligation; it’s about us being able to do so."

Nomi cupped the girl’s cheeks, pinching her adorable face, purple and crimson-gold eyes eting:

"You can do these things, can’t you, stunning beauty?"

Ripples appeared in the red-haired girl’s gaze. She lifted her head, surprised, looking at Nomi.

[Arcane Energy... my soul continues within her as well?]

She pursed her lips, closed her eyes, and said:

"No."

"Is that so..." Nomi’s eyes darkened: "Indeed, forcing you to go against Lord Entropy is really too much—"

"—It’s not ’stunning beauty.’"

Nomi hesitated, lifting her head. She saw the red-haired girl’s locks lifted by the long wind, the Sun illuminating her, yet her presence was even more striking.

"You used to not call that."

The girl raised her hand:

"Young beauty with regular features."

She nodded slightly:

"Call that once more, Nomi."

[I can understand Nomi’s feelings; she has endured too much suffering in the past. After being resurrected, she fulfilled all her regrets, leaving one regret for herself forcibly—otherwise, Nomi Anderson Guesette truly wouldn’t have the drive to live.]

As a friend, as a once-fighting side-by-side comrade, as the first true partner after coming to this world, and the aide in integrating into it, he genuinely hopes she doesn’t die from the depth of his heart.
