Silas’s POV

"Believe , it won’t co true. And even if it did, I will still protect you. Don’t worry," Damon replied.

Hearing his reply, my heart beca heavy again. That uneasy feeling was circling in my stomach, telling that sothing bad was gonna happen—but what, I had no idea. But I think I should try to forget about that curse, just like Damon said. It was nothing more than just a ghost’s bullshit.

His fingers were rubbing on my palm, which made snap out of my thoughts and glance at him. His eyes were already on .

"Why are you thinking so much about that? Just forget about everything."

I nod and try to distract myself by looking around and looking at him. But my mind was repeating everything that had happened.

"Uh, yes, Damon. Why did that Alpha co to et you earlier in the evening when and Orian ca out from your studies? An Alpha ca to et you, didn’t he?"

I asked. I’d rembered that he had said he had an appointnt with Damon. I know it’s not my place to ask, but I wanted to know the reason.

And when Damon told why that Alpha had co, I was shocked. Damon said that Alpha’s na was Krivan, and he had co to say that his pack was planning to rebel against Damon’s pack. Which is really unexpected. When he himself ca to tell, I think he just wanted to show that he is not with them, he is on Damon’s side. That’s why he was exposing the truth about his own family.

"But are you sure he was telling the truth, or was it just a personal grudge against his family?" I asked.

"I don’t know. And the way he was talking, it looked like he was serious. Still, I have sent a few of my spies there to see if he was telling the truth or not. The spies will inform as soon as they find out that the pack is preparing to rebel."

After that, when we reached my room, Orian was not there. Now I am worried about Orian and yer too. Why didn’t they both co back yet? It’s already so late.

Damon tried to comfort with his words, but yeah, it was a little hard for to stay calm when I know my brother didn’t co back. If I had known where he is right now, what he is doing, then I would have been calm as hell.

Damon even grabbed by my shoulders and made sit down on the bed.

"Just take a rest and don’t think about anything, Silas. I will go and tell the guards to check where Orian and yer are. Don’t worry."

I nod, and Damon made lie down on the bed. As I did, he sat down beside while patting my head.

There was so magic in his hand because as he was petting my head, I started to feel sleepy.

"Why don’t you lie down beside too?"

I offered Damon because he was also looking tired, but he wasn’t saying that he would rest. That’s why—if he lies down beside , he can take rest. But I don’t think he’s gonna do that.

But to my surprise... "Sure." He agreed and eventually lay down beside . It was really unexpected. He covered both of us with a quilt. And soon enough, we both fell asleep in each other’s arms.

When I opened my eyes again, it was already morning—aning the next day. I thought I had just slept for a few minutes, and it’s already the next day. Man, I want to sleep more. And just then, I noticed Damon sleeping beside . And Orian was not in the room. Seeing him not there, my heart skipped a beat. I started to shake Damon.

"Damon, wake up! Wake up! Orian is not here! He didn’t co back last night! Sothing must have happened to him!"

"Dear Silas, Orian and yer did co last night, but you were sleeping so soundly that Orian went to sleep in yer’s room."

I felt lively again after knowing that Orian had co back, and he is with yer right now. But it was nice to sleep with Damon, and I lay down again.

"Are you still sleepy?" he asked while taking into his arms.

"Yeah, because it was already so late last night when we went to sleep. That’s why my eyes are itching right now. I want to sleep more."

But just then, I rembered about Lysander. How is he? He is fine, right? So I opened my eyes.

"What about Lysander?"

"He is fine, don’t worry. I went to et him a few hours ago, and he was all fine."

Thank God, Lysander is all fine now. And when did he leave? He was with when I was sleeping. Did he leave from here while leaving alone sleeping in this room? What if I had woken up? What if I had a nightmare? Well, since I can’t be more childish, that’s why I buried those thoughts inside deep down. Then I noticed Damon had closed his eyes.

"Damon, don’t fall asleep. It’s already morning." That’s why I shook him. Of course, we can’t fall asleep now. Yes, I can, but he can’t.

"But you are so sleepy, right? So let’s sleep together."

But then again, when he was offering to sleep, why would I say no? Because I am a lazy person. I closed my eyes—before saying yes or no to him, I literally fell asleep.

I sat up while looking at all of them. "What are you all doing here?" I asked.

"Silas, morning," Kael said, and out of nowhere, he pressed his lips against mine. And before I could understand or say anything, his tongue slipped in and started to move without wasting a second.

"Nghhh~~" He is such a good kisser that I was lting in that kiss, but just then I rembered that those four were also there, so I pushed Kael away from myself.

And turned my head behind and saw Damon, Lysander, and Theron were looking at with shocked faces, which was really embarrassing. I should have pushed Kael away from when he first pressed his lips against mine.

"Silas, I am really sorry about my behavior. I hurt you," Lysander said.

And because he apologized, everyone’s attention went on him. I stretched my hand and grabbed his hand.

"Lysander, I am not mad at you now because you didn’t do anything wrong, so don’t worry. And it was all that ghost’s fault, not yours," I said those words while thinking carefully because I can’t say anything that would make Lysander feel more guilty. That’s why I was choosing my words very carefully.

"But Silas, I am still guilty," his face was down as he said this. And I felt really pity for him, so I let go of his hand and pulled him to instead and hugged him.

"There-there, my boy, don’t worry. It’s nothing, and you are fine now. That’s all that matters, you know."

After comforting him for a mont, I thought everyone would forget what they had seen monts ago, but just then—

"Silas, I didn’t realize you were so close to Kael that you are sharing a passionate kiss. But I didn’t kiss you yet," Damon said.

I was sitting there after breaking the hug, and hearing that made feel guilty in my stomach.

"He had kissed too," Theron said in the middle. Why did he say that now when they are already angry with for kissing Kael?

"Wait, you kissed Theron too? Then what about and Lysander? Don’t you want to kiss us?" Damon said.

"It’s not like I don’t want to kiss you. It’s just that we didn’t really get the chance to be alone and beco this close."
