Polaris has a very strong character, and such strength ans that she cannot accept others calling her "bad." This was especially difficult for her to hear coming from Luo Bai, the mage she respected greatly.
After hearing this, her mood, which had already been low, suddenly turned "rebellious." Her light green eyes filled with dissatisfaction, but she couldn't refute his words. After all, she knew she wasn't in a good position. She couldn't deal with the X-n or the Mutant Association, so how could she be anything but useless?
Taking a deep breath, Polaris responded through gritted teeth, "Master Luo Bai taught that I am indeed quite capable."
Seeing her stiff expression, Luo Bai raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why do you seem unconvinced?"
The young girl, feeling moody, lowered her head and replied firmly, "No."
Luo Bai laughed, complaining, "The four fundantal forces of the universe are the strong force, the weak force, the electromagnetic force, and gravity. You have the ability to control the magnetic field, yet you can't handle these people? Isn't that a bit inadequate?"
Polaris was at a loss for words.
People were going to be frustrated.
Although she had never dared to refute Luo Bai, her anger bubbled up, and she replied, "That's because I have a ntal illness, making it hard to control my ability."
After she spoke, Luo Bai countered, "But you've never practiced, have you? You know you're a mutant and in a very dangerous situation; why not train your ability properly?"
Polaris was speechless for a mont.
What Luo Bai said was right; why hadn't she practiced more?
With newfound determination, Polaris looked up and declared, "I will train my ability diligently in the future! Next ti, I'll deal with them before they co, and I won't cause you any trouble!"
Luo Bai smiled faintly and joked, "Just rember, you still have to work. Don't skip that because no one else will do it!"
"Okay, I understand," Polaris replied, feeling lighter.
At that mont, all her worries dissipated. While she was a bit unconvinced by Luo Bai's complint, she realized he was looking out for her. After all, mutants were in a tough spot now. How would she survive if she didn't hone her abilities? Did she really plan to hide away for the rest of her life?
Understanding this made her even more grateful to Luo Bai. "Master Luo Bai, I know you want to beco stronger. Thank you for protecting in front of Professor X. I'm determined to get stronger."
Before Luo Bai could respond, she asked, "Do you have anything else to do right now? If not, I want to practice my ability first."
"Go ahead," Luo Bai waved his hand.
Polaris walked into her room and closed the door, beginning her training. While practicing, she mumbled, "I must train hard! Let's see who dares to challenge in the future!!"
Although her voice was not loud, Luo Bai heard her. After all, he had trained for a month and had made qualitative improvents in all aspects. It was normal for him to have better hearing.
Hearing Polaris's determination made Luo Bai smile.
It's nice to have soone accompany you in a different world.
Just as he planned to return to his study, the doorbell rang. He was about to open the door when he felt a force surge through the room, and the door opened by itself.
Polaris, like her father, could control magnetic fields and tals. It was easy for her to open a door with her ability, though she had never done it before. Luo Bai nearly forgot she had this skill.
"This ability is quite useful," Luo Bai nodded in approval.
Just then, a familiar voice ca from outside the door: "That's weird, why is there no one here??"
From the tone, it was clear that Stark was the one arriving. He seed confused as to why no one had opened the door for him, especially since it opened on its own.
He stepped into the room, spotted Luo Bai sitting on the sofa, and relaxed. His confusion turned into excitent as he exclaid, "Ohmy friend I finally see you again! Where have you been this month?"
"Going on a trip," Luo Bai replied.
"Travel??! Where did you go?" Stark asked, intrigued.
Luo Bai thought for a mont and then said, "I went to the universe."
"...???"
Stark's expression was priceless.
"Well, the life of a mage is indeed beyond our understanding," Stark shrugged, feeling helpless. While others traveled, at least they stayed on Earth. Luo Bai, however, seed to have ventured off-world. No wonder Stark hadn't seen him.
Stark didn't pursue the matter any further. Instead, he sat down on the sofa and curiously asked, "Where's your housekeeper? Where did she go?"
"In the room," Luo Bai explained.
Stark nodded, then shouted, "Miss Lorna, could you please get a drink?!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Stark saw a green, aurora-like light erging from the room.
The green aurora flowed toward the dining table.
Stark was stunned and couldn't help but ask, "What is this?"
As he followed the green light with his eyes, he watched it open the refrigerator door, take out a can of Coke, and place it on the table in front of him.
Finally, Stark realized sothing was wrong.
"OMG??"
"Shet?! Did I just see a ghost?"
"Luo Bai, what kind of magic is this?"
Stark was so shocked that he blurted out several questions in quick succession.
Luo Bai understood his astonishnt and replied calmly, "It's not . It's Lorna."
"Lorna??" Stark didn't understand.
Luo Bai clarified, "Actually, she's a mutant who can control magnetic fields and tals. She's working hard in the room to practice her abilities."
What the hell??!
Can she control magnetic fields and tals?!
Seriously?
Stark was stunned. He had originally thought Luo Bai was lucky to find a young, beautiful, obedient girl to be his housekeeper. But it turned out she had such a powerful ability!
Thinking of this, Stark couldn't help but complain, "Friend, your luck is making a little jealous. Can you find one for next ti?"
