Luo Bai thought there might be a conflict next, but he didn't expect Professor X to apologize so quickly. However, if anyone else were in Professor X's position, they would most likely admit their mistake even faster.

After all, at this mont, Professor X was looking down at an endless sky.

After experiencing a ten-minute fall from such a height, Professor X really didn't want to try it again. God knows how terrifying that was! For a mont, he even thought about how to distribute his inheritance.

Of course, this was just one of the reasons. Another reason was that Luo Bai had been reported in the news. Now, Luo Bai was incredibly popular, and his fa was soaring.

If the X-n took action here, it would definitely be on the front page within half a day. If the dia wrote "The Mutant X-n Provokes the Superhero Soul Mage," then all of Professor X's previous efforts would be wasted.

For these two reasons, Professor X did not dare to offend Luo Bai easily. So he chose the friendliest approach and took the initiative to apologize.

Seeing his sincere attitude, Luo Bai made no further move and calmly issued an order to expel the guests: "You must have seen Lorna's attitude, so please leave."

"Master Luo Bai, Polaris' identity is very special. Currently, she is still a wanted criminal. The Association and the Secret Service will definitely send people to arrest her. If it really cos to that point, what will you do?" Professor X asked.

Although he often uses his ability to invade other people's minds, Luo Bai had also shown that Professor X was kind and gentle at heart. So he asked this as a kind reminder.

Luo Bai did not answer his question but instead asked, "What cri has Polaris committed?"

"She's a mutant...and potentially a threat."

Hearing this answer, Luo Bai chuckled and continued to ask, "Charles, do you think this charge is reasonable?"

"In that case, why do you treat her as a 'criminal?'" Luo Bai pressed.

"I never thought Lorna was a criminal!" Professor X quickly denied.

Luo Bai smiled and asked, "Then why did you bring all the X-n?"

The X-n were an organization established to protect world peace. Their presence ant that world peace might be at risk. In order to bring Polaris back, Professor X had brought almost all the mbers of the X-n with him. Doesn't that explain everything?

Thinking of this, Professor X fell silent.

Seeing his silence, Luo Bai continued, "If you really don't think Polaris has committed a cri, you should stop those people from pursuing her instead of trying to bring her back."

"You just asked what I would do if soone from the Association ca to ask for her. In fact, I also want to ask you, Charles: if Polaris cos back to you and asks for help, will you provide it or not?"

Luo Bai's words and questions hit the nail on the head. At this point, Professor X realized.

"I understand what you an. Mr. Luo Bai, I'm sorry that we disturbed you today. If the actions and words of the X-n and I were inappropriate, please forgive us," Professor X spoke sincerely.

It seed he had figured it out and planned to leave. Although there had been so unpleasantness earlier, Professor X's good attitude ant Luo Bai did not intend to pursue the matter further.

"I hope there won't be another ti," Luo Bai reminded.

As he finished speaking, the surrounding scene returned to normal.

Seeing the tens of thousands of feet in the sky beneath their feet turn back into floor tiles, Professor X said, "I think there won't be a next ti. After all, it's not good to disturb you too much."

He looked at the X-n behind him and said softly, "Let's go back."

After saying that, the group left with the X-n. Before leaving, Jean Grey unexpectedly looked back at Luo Bai. This glance held no clear aning.

After Professor X and his party left, Luo Bai sat back on the sofa. At this ti, Polaris looked panicked, her eyes darting around as if worried about sothing.

Luo Bai couldn't help but comfort her, "Lorna, it's okay. They've left."

As soon as he finished speaking, Polaris suddenly explained, "Master Luo Bai, I didn't an it just now. You don't want to lock in a small dark room, do you?"

Small dark room?

After she reminded him, Luo Bai rembered that he had indeed said this before. Was this what Lorna was worried about? Please, no. He had said that casually; did Polaris really rember it?

This girl must have an excellent mory.

Thinking of this, Luo Bai sighed and reassured her, "Of course not. You were acting in self-defense; I understand."

"Thank you, Master Luo Bai," Polaris said.

Her tone was calm and unwavering, showing no trace of happiness, and her expression remained serious, as if she were still worried.

Before Luo Bai could ask, Polaris couldn't hold herself back. She suddenly raised her head and apologized to Luo Bai, guilt written all over her face: "Master Luo Bai, I'm sorry. I have caused you trouble."

Luo Bai understood why she apologized, but he didn't take it to heart at all. He replied casually, "If it's troubleso, I wouldn't have kept you as a housekeeper."

He knew Polaris' identity and situation from the beginning, so he chose to keep her because he didn't care at all.

But Polaris still felt guilty and uneasy, saying, "What Professor X said is true. I might still cause you trouble later."

Her identity destined her life to be unstable, affecting everyone close to her.

Although, on the surface, Luo Bai and Polaris had an employer-employee relationship, after this period of getting to know each other, Luo Bai was not just an "employer" but also a friend in Polaris' heart.

She was worried that her identity would always cause trouble for Luo Bai, leading her to consider leaving.

In this short ti, Polaris had thought a lot and even staged an emotional drama in her heart.

However, Luo Bai didn't quite understand her concerns.

After all, he had made it clear that he didn't care about the trouble, yet Polaris still felt this way.

This made Luo Bai unable to help but complain, "You don't want to deny it and run away, right? We agreed on three months, and now you've only worked for one month and want to run away?"

"Of course not," Polaris quickly explained.

Luo Bai replied nonchalantly, "Then when they co next ti, just go outside and take them down without letting know."

"?" Polaris was confused. After a mont, she replied, "But... I can't beat them."

Luo Bai shrugged and replied seriously, "You just need to practice more."

"Practice?"

"Huh? ?! Do I have the ability to control the magnetic field?! What a waste of !"

Well, I am indeed pretty good...
