Cole gathered everyone in the pack, including the Ogas, and he glared at Derek, who was standing beside him, as if saying he would be dealt with later.

"Be quiet." Cole said coldly. This was a different side to Cole. As an individual, he was a calm and so would even say, loving person, but when it ca to being Tristan’s representative, he was cold, even colder than Tristan.

In this mode, everyone knew not to ss with him, and that is why the mont he told them to keep quiet, the hall imdiately beca silent.

"Teira is dead, but before she died, she accused the Luna of being a witch." Cole said, His gaze moved to Lia, who had a smug smile on her face.

"All of this is a lie, fabricated by Lia in order to disrespect the Luna. The truth is our Luna is a special kind of wolf, and yes, she does not have a wolf, and that is why our Alpha gave her a magical artifact, which was the pendant that was seen on her neck. This pendant was given by our Alpha to protect his Luna against those who wish to harm her, and this is why Teira couldn’t harm Luna Aria. In regards to Teira being burnt alive, the pendant saw Teira as a threat, and when the Luna’s emotions were heightened, the pendant released a fire that burnt Teira."

The whispers began, and Cole allowed them to be for so ti before he spoke again.

"This is the Alpha’s order. For being a threat to the Luna, Teira should not be mourned, and her body should be disposed of the sa way a rogue body is disposed of."

Floyd frowned and said, "I agree Teira was in the wrong, but still... she was burnt alive, and now we are to just throw her body away as if we are throwing trash?"

Cole looked at Floyd and asked, "Is her body any different from trash? She threatened your Luna and has put her in a state where she remains unconscious; does such a person deserve to be buried as a wolf of the golden rills pack?"

Floyd couldn’t say anything; he only took a step back, indicating his surrender.

Cole’s gaze moved to Lia, and he said, "And as for Lia, the instigator of everything. The Alpha has ordered your banishnt from the pack."

"What?"

"Starting from this mont, you will no longer be a mber of the Golden Rills pack; you will be no different from a rogue, and this order is to be established imdiately." Cole coldly stated without removing his gaze from Lia.

"What nonsense are you saying?"

"Nonsense? You threatened the life of this pack Luna, you taunted her in the absence of the Alpha, and you think after your behavior, you can still remain as a mber of this pack?"

"Cole!"

"We all know of your obsession with the Alpha, and now he wants nothing to do with you. He no longer wishes to be your Alpha or have you as a mber of the pack."

"No, he can’t do this to . He can’t!" Lia shouted, ignoring the eyes on her.

Cole ignored her shout and said, "Lia has thirty minutes to pack her things and to leave the Golden Rills pack. If after thirty minutes she is still here, then she is to be thrown out and be treated as an outsider."

Cole looked at Derek and said, "At least do this one thing right. Thirty minutes, not more than that."

Derek nodded and replied, "Yes, Beta."

Lia ran towards Cole and stood in front of him, saying, "I do not believe a word you have said because there is no way Tristan would throw out. I want to see him myself; I want to hear these words personally from him!"

Cole scoffed and mocked, "Are you worth it?"

"Cole!"

"Be quiet!" Cole shouted, his voice carrying the authority of a Beta that even Lia flinched at his loud voice.

Cole sighed and asked, "Who exactly are you to request such a thing? What exactly has given you the audacity to stand before and ask such a thing?"

"Has he easily forgotten the promise he made to my mother? Is our Alpha a man that goes back on his word just because the person he made that promise to is no longer alive? I have known Tristan since childhood, and I am certain that he doesn’t go back on his words, and it is with confidence that I will say, You are lying."

"That’s enough, Lia; stop embarrassing yourself already; it’s pathetic." Cole said and was about to leave when Lia held his hand and said.

"Eva was his mate, and not even for her has he ever discarded , and you expect to believe that this Aria girl has not bewitched him?"

Cole looked at Lia, and he could see that until she heard personally from Tristan, she would never leave, so he brought out his phone and called Tristan, and as soon as the call got connected, he turned on the speaker.

"Has Lia been banished?" Tristan asked.

Everyone could hear Tristan’s voice over the phone, and while they looked at Lia with pity, others were glad that such a fate had befallen her because they were tired of her always behaving as if she were soone special.

Before Cole could respond, Lia snatched the phone from him and said, "Tristan, banishing from this pack will make a rogue; is that really what you want? Have you forgotten your promise to my mother?"

"You are undeserving of that promise. I warned you, Lia, not to cross the line when it cos to Aria, but yet you discarded my warning, and both you and Teira ganged up against her after finding out that she had no wolf. You gave the guts to attack my woman, and this warning goes to everyone else: if any of you dare to disrespect my wife, I will not hesitate to end your life right at that mont."

Lia broke down as fear of what was happening finally settled in, and she begged, "Tristan, please. It was all Teira fault, I had nothing to do with it, please don’t do this to , please Tristan."

"You are no longer welco in the Golden Rills pack, and if Lia is to be seen in our territory, she should be treated the exact sa way a rogue is treated." After speaking, Tristan ended the call.

Lia shook her head and tried to call back, but Cole collected his phone from her and glanced at Derek, saying, "Take her away."

Derek nodded and tried to escort her out, but Lia struggled, screaming, "He can’t do this to ! That bitch has bewitched him; he can’t abandon !"

....

Back at the penthouse, after ending the call, Tristan looked at an unconscious Aria. Luckily, her body was no longer burning, but she wasn’t waking up either. He wondered if perhaps she was dreaming of her past life.

Aria groaned softly as her eyes slowly opened, and seeing her awake, Tristan imdiately asked, "Hey baby, are you alright?"

Aria slowly sat upright and looked at her Tristan confusingly. "Why are you here?"

Tristan frowned and asked, "What do you an?"

"Didn’t you just leave? You said you were going to be back in the evening." Aria said, wondering if she fell asleep after he left.

Tristan looked at her and wondered why she was speaking like this; he caressed her cheek and asked, "What is the last thing you rember?"

Aria felt like she was forgetting sothing, but she still said, "I rembered you leaving because Cole kept calling you, and then... did I fall back asleep?"

Aria looked at her clothes and said, "I’m sure I was still wearing your shirt." Her gaze moved to Tristan. "Why does it feel like I’m forgetting sothing, Tristan?"

"Because you are." Tristan said with a serious look on his face; he then smiled and said, "This is one of the consequences of drinking too much. How can you forget that you changed your clothes after you took a bath and I ca back early because I missed you?"

"Really? I’m definitely never getting drunk again. So, nothing important happened?" Aria asked, still feeling like she had forgotten sothing important.

Tristan shrugged and replied, "Not that I know of. Since you have gotten enough rest, why don’t we pack and leave?"

"But I haven’t seen my grandmother yet."

"We will see her on our way out." Tristan said with a smile, and Aria nodded in agreent.

While Aria got up from the bed to arrange her things, Tristan let out a sigh of relief. He was glad that she didn’t have to rember burning soone alive; he was glad that she had also forgotten the mory that had brought her so much pain and hurt. This is for the best, and slowly but surely, he will remove everyone that will pose as a threat to Aria after all. This is the least he can do before he leaves her alone in this world.

Tristan frowned as he placed a hand on his chest; the pain had been getting worse lately, and he wondered if it was because he had used that power. Unfortunately, his ti was running out, faster than he had anticipated.
