Aria was rushed to the pack dical center, but no matter what lissa did, she couldn’t bring down the hotness of her body.
"What is wrong with her?" Nyla asked lissa, who has tried to heal Aria but couldn’t. "Could Lia be right? Is she maybe a witch?"
"She isn’t." lissa replied. She turned to looked at Nyla and said "Aria may not have a wolf but that does not an she isn’t a werewolf, she is just different."
"She burnt Teira just by looking at her; I think she is more than different, lissa," Nyla said, her gaze moving to an unconscious Aria.
lissa could notice Nyla’s nervousness, so she asked, "Why are you so nervous? It’s not like you were the one who did this to her."
"In a way I am. If Teira had not overheard my conversation with Tyler, then none of this would have happened. I feel like it’s my fault. What will happen if the Alpha gets to know about this?" The very thought of facing the Alpha angers her.
The door to the ward opened, and Cole ca in.
Nyla’s heart sank in fear when she saw Cole, and before she could say anything, Cole went to the bed and picked up Aria.
"Where are you taking her to?" lissa asked.
"To Tristan. How long has she been like this?" Cole asked. Why was her body so hot?
"It’s been two and a half hours now." Nyla replied.
Cole nodded and left the dical center with Aria in his arms.
Back in the penthouse, Tristan waited anxiously for Cole as his mind began to race on what condition his wife currently is. He never should have left her alone or even brought her here.
The door opened, and Cole ca in with Aria in his arms.
"Lay her on the bed." Tristan commanded.
Cole nodded and laid her on the bed and moved away for Tristan to co close to her.
Tristan touched her forehead and comnted "She is burning."
"lissa said she tried but doesn’t even know what is wrong with her. Should I summon Suzette?"
"There is no need. Suzette wouldn’t know what to do." Tristan said, rolling up his sleeves.
Cole watched as Tristan places his finger under Aria nose and wondered what he was doing until he heard him say "She isn’t breathing but her heart is beating. What exactly happened?"
"Nyla overheard lissa telling Aria that she knows she does not have a wolf. While making a phone call to Tyler, telling him of her findings, Teira overheard Nyla conversation and ran to Lia.
Aria ca to the training ground to find Nyla and there she was challenge by Teira for a duel. According to Floyd, Aria refused the duel and was about leaving when she was attack by Teira but a barrier appeared stopping her for attacking the Luna and then Teira accused her of being a witch.
Aria suddenly held her head and scread in pain and Lia made fun of her, saying she was pretending. Teira turned into her wolf to attack Aria but the mont Aria looked at her, she went into flas."
"Her condition?"
"Burnt beyond recognition and dead." Cole coldly replied. He looked at Tristan who remained silent and asked "Everyone is curious how the Luna was capable of burning Teira alive, they all wonder if the allegations are right and if truly, their Luna is a witch."
"Aria is not a witch. Call for a eting with everyone and tell them this. Before I married Aria, I gave her a pendant to protect her and when her emotion beca heightened, the magic from the pendant perceived Teira as a threat and then burnt her."
"And Lia?"
"In front of everyone, I want you to say this. By disrespecting my Luna, Lia has also disrespected and by instigating Teira actions towards Aria, her punishnt will be banishnt from the pack."
"What? But she will live as a rogue for the rest of her life; are you sure you want to go ahead with this?"
Tristan placed a hand on Aria’s nose again and sighed in relief when he felt her breath.
He stood up to et Cole and said, "I’m about to ask you for sothing, and you can refuse if you are unable to do it."
"I will never refuse an order from you." Cole stated firmly.
Tristan smiled softly and said "Once Lia has been banished from the pack. Once she has leave this territory then.... I want you to kill her."
"What?"
"For the sake of her dead mother, I have tolerated her every action, but today, I realized what gift would be better than reuniting the mother and daughter. Kill Lia and ensure her body is never found." Tristan order coldly. He couldn’t keep Lia in his pack any more and he also couldn’t just turn her into a rogue without her making problems for him, the only effective way to ensure that Lia doesn’t cause harm to Aria when he is gone, is to permanently get rid of her and killing her is the only way.
Seeing that his Alpha has already made his decision, Cole nodded his head and said "It will be done."
After Cole left, Tristan returned back to Aria’s side and gently touched her neck, making the pendant appear. He frowned when he saw that there was a little crack in the pendant.
"What happened to you, Aria? What did you see that made you react like this?" Tristan whispered. He gently removed the pendant from her neck and placed it on the table.
Tristan brought his thumb to his mouth and used his sharp teeth to pierce his thumb, making it bleed.
He rubbed the blood on the pendant and whispered, "Show what she saw."
Tristan closed his eyes, and with his thumb still on the pendant, he whispered, "Ostende mihi quod vidit."
As soon as those words left his lips, he saw everything Aria saw and also felt her fear and her pain.
He ca out of her mory with tears in his eyes. Why was she rembering her past life, why now? Perhaps the best thing to do at this mont is to forever lock her mory.
