Cicy swaggered while steering the wheel, and the Shell lurched forward, completely losing its previous agility. The Brass Dragon didn’t know how to operate a ship; he always relied on his wings to traverse mountains and seas. Now, he could only rely entirely on his instincts, gradually familiarizing himself with the operation of this vessel.

Lynch worriedly looked at the river ahead, noticing so whirlpools. Van Dijk had taught him that the most important task for the one steering the ship wasn’t just gripping the wheel tightly, but constantly assessing the river’s currents to avoid possible undertows and shoals. Especially on an unmarked waterway, experience was often more important than anything else.

Thinking of this, the Mage ran to Cicy’s side. Although he knew that as soon as he spoke, a long-winded monologue from the Brass Dragon would follow, for the safety of all passengers—of course, Cicy could just fly away with his wings, so his safety wasn’t a concern for Lynch—the Mage braced himself and said, "Cicy, you should let take the wheel."

"Why? Aren’t I steering the ship just fine? The Shell is smoothly cruising on the river without a hint of wobble. Trust , I’m the best ship pilot among all dragons, this task is nothing for . Moreover, it’s so hot, you, a young Mage, shouldn’t be baking under the sun. If your head gets heatstroke, you’ll get dizzy and can’t function properly. Although I’m now in human form, this temperature doesn’t affect . You should go inside and rest. I will steer the ship properly."

Cicy paused for a mont; Lynch thought he had stopped speaking, but then realized he was just taking a breath.

"Mage, why are you still here? Take my advice and go down. Unless you have sothing important to say to ? Or you have your particular reasons to want to steer the ship personally? If that’s the case, I won’t hinder you, I’m a very reasonable dragon, and that won’t change. But I have a request, could you let stay beside you while you steer? Maybe you humans have a special way of steering a ship, and even if you don’t want to teach , just watching for a while would be a good way to pass the ti."

After finishing, he stepped back, allowing Lynch to take the wheel. With the delay, the ship was about to rush towards potential hidden reefs below. The Mage quickly turned the rudder, averting danger.

Cicy looked puzzled at the Mage, "Why do you steer so aggressively and suddenly change direction, making the whole ship unstable? I was steering more smoothly than that. If you do it again..."

Lynch couldn’t stand it anymore and pressed his Magic Wand against Cicy’s lips. Suddenly, he rembered the Brass Dragon’s size and his ntor’s warnings about dragon-related dangers. Before Cicy’s eyes showed anger, Lynch quickly said, "If that’s the case, you should steer. I’ll head inside to rest."

"Oh, I see!" The Brass Dragon smiled, "You should have listened to earlier, after all, I’ve lived much longer than you have and have more experience. Hurry down, stop basking here. If you’re feeling dizzy now, or finding it hard to breathe, I suggest you find a cool place to lie down and rest, ensuring good airflow, and if you have any spells, create sothing cold to cool down. Of course, even without preparations, you still could..."

Lynch swiftly shut the cabin door, sealing those rambling voices outside. Instantly, a soothing calm washed over his ears, a refreshing clarity spreading through his body. The Mage took deep breaths, as if shedding a thousand-pound burden off his shoulders.

Inside the cabin, Zilvra aid a crossbow arrow at the entrance, only lowering her weapon upon seeing Lynch. In a corner, Van Dijk anxiously placed an ice-water-soaked towel on Soka’s forehead, the little Angel still muttering incoherently in a coma.

"Who exactly ca on board?" Zilvra asked, "Is it resolved now?"

"I don’t know if this counts as resolved," Lynch said helplessly, "Those three Druids have left the ship, but a bard has co on board. Although it should be much safer than before, it might still be a hassle. It’d be best if you all just ignored him, there should be no problem then." The Mage looked at little Soka, whose face was flushed with fever, "How is she doing? Why did she suddenly beco so ill? It even looks more serious now."
