The team selection phase also follows a one-match knockout system to save ti. Just like in individual matches, teams are afforded three opportunities to fail.

“Chairman, you decide.” said Unparalleled Fairy.
Li Yao agreed, “During the selections, the chances of encountering masters are slim. Everyone, be relaxed but not careless. Ensure that we win, and try to finish the battle promptly. We should try to have as many battles as possible tonight.”
Everyone agreed and nodded. Stupefied Tonton said, “Then you should pick , brother. I hang around the arena all day, even at the expense of leveling up. It’s high ti I showed my battle skills.”
Li Yao patted her on the back, “Of course, I have seen your hard work, Tonton. This ti, the personnel will include Tonton, Mu Zi, and Fruit.”
Everyone nodded in agreent, acknowledging this combination. Stupefied Tonton’s strength was unquestionable; despite her young age, she fought viciously.
She was a tiny battle-crazed player. In the guild, except for Sister Li and Unparalleled Fairy, everyone else tended to lose against her, including Guardian Angel.
“Hahaha, Brother, you’re the best. I won’t let you down,” Stupefied Tonton said, filled with excitent.
“Aren’t you going on stage, Chairman?” Newcor Mu Zi asked, sowhat nervously. He hadn’t expected to be deployed in the first round and was extrely excited.
“During the selection phase, the chances of encountering top teams are slim. This is an excellent opportunity to train the mbers. If the Chairman joins the stage, the training objective would not be fulfilled,” Unparalleled Fairy explained.
Li Yao nodded in agreent. He had decided not to participate in the selection stage unless it was a battle involving more than five people. Besides, they had three opportunities to fail – one or two losses against strong teams wouldn’t impact them as long as they weren’t eliminated more than three tis. In ranking battles, losses didn’t matter, only points did.
Newcor Mu Zi’s elite profession was formidable and suitable for 3v3 battles. Despite having the desire to participate in official matches, he doubted himself due to his older age.

On the Spark Team’s side, the lineup was a Knight, a Mage, and a Shaman, while the opposing Ink Sea Team had a more traditional setup: a Warrior, a Tactical Shepherd.
The opposing team consisted of a Weapon Warrior, a Demon Art user, and a Holy Priest — the standard setup of a close combatant, a ranged damage dealer, and a healer.
Soon the countdown ended, and both teams rushed out from behind their barriers and appeared in the arena.
Fruit Knight and the opposing Warrior both stationed themselves at the frontlines of their respective teams. However, the ranged fighters from both teams positioned themselves behind the pillars to prevent getting charged.
Both sides began to probe each other with spells, inflicting little to no damage. The opposing team had a healer, so they could draw out the battle because the Warrior could withstand this level of damage with the support of a healer.
The mont they saw the true strength of their adversaries, especially that Tonton was an Elental Shaman rather than a Healing Shaman, they wanted to drag out the battle even more.
“Don’t waste your energy, decide the match quickly. Just follow my commands,”said Fruit Knight, charging straight at the opposition. Though she also had healing abilities, as a physical class, her mana pool was limited. She wouldn’t be able to endure a drawn-out battle. Also, although Tonton’s healing abilities were decent, they were far inferior to a dedicated healer. Initially, the difference was negligible at lower levels.
With the full developnt of various professions, Tonton’s healing abilities were no longer as prominent for a non-healer class.
The opposing Weapon Warrior revealed a smirk when he saw Fruit Knight charging at him. The Paladin was famously short-legged.
Though they were hard to kill, their attacks were diocre, especially the Retribution Paladin. Considering that Fruit Knight was a Protection Paladin, he didn’t take her seriously.
