"So, Allison, tell more about yourself." Kiara asks, leading to the side of the house. The way she completely ignored Elijah and Ezra after putting Ethan in his place has in awe of her.
"Oh, uhm. There is not much to tell your Grace. I’m actually just a nobody." I say, trying to keep to what I was told from ho; no scenes. No rooms, and no doors open. She looks at my Visitor/Ops badge, but doesn’t comnt further.
"I sincerely doubt that, but okay. Ah! Here we are." She smiles at the woman on the blanket with a book in her hand. The woman smiles back, but it stiffens a bit when she sees walking with Kiara. "Luna Allison, this is Luna Hannah. She is mated to Alpha Greg and Luna Allison is mated to the Alpha triplets." I know Kiara probably doesn’t give a thought to calling Luna in an open area, but I don’t know what to do with the feeling of the word inside. Luna Hannah shakes my hand tentatively, and I do the sa with hers.
"Please sit down. I’m sorry, where are my manners?" Luna Hannah says with a gesture to the blanket on the ground. "I was just reading a book when you mindlinked , your Grace." She continues, and I take a look at the book. It’s one of my favourites.
"Oh! That is a wonderful book. I read it a few tis myself. The narration and storyline are very captivating." Hannah nods, smiling shyly.
"Did you see it coming that Ash would turn on Oliver like that? Or how they had to work together to get Gaia back?" I shake my head, giggling, delighted by this turn of events.
"No, but I rather enjoyed their squabbling a lot. It kinda reminds of my mates to be honest." Hannah blushes at my comnt.
"I can’t imagine how it must be having three of them." I can’t help but rolling my eyes.
"Exhausting, thrilling and agitating for sure. They are the biggest pain in my ass, but they also hold so many good qualities." I feel like I have to defend them.
"Even Alpha moodkill?" Kiara asks, and I sigh.
"He is not that bad, your Grace, but he is under a lot of pressure. His brothers have decided to defy their parents. So more openly than others." I can’t help the little annoyance in my voice when I think of Ezra.
"But they are both trying a lot. It’s not as easy for Ethan. He is the eldest and his parents expect him to always be a good example for his brothers and the pack. His father is especially against this union. He wants them to mate with this she-wolf from another pack. She is an Alpha’s daughter, and her parents are close friends with the guys’ parents." I sigh and Hannah grabs my hand.
"I am so sorry to hear that. That must be very confusing and strenuous." I nod as a stray tear slides down my cheek. I wipe it with an impatient move.
"They really are trying." I repeat. "Elijah claid outright, and he has said to his parents and brothers that he’ll denounce his Alpha title to be with if they decide to reject . He will never accept that. He is so open and affectionate, within my rules. Ezra is more torn between his brothers. He is there for , but it’s more in private, which gives certain she-wolves ideas." My voice turns angry, which I should be better than, but I’m not. "Sorry, it was not supposed to be a pity party for the poor orphan fox girl." I sigh and am about to stand when Hannah opens her mouth.
"I’m wolfless, if that makes you feel better and my mate’s father only gives over the title because he is convinced that the King and Queen will take it away if Greg does not sever his ties with . He wants dead for being an ’abomination’." My mouth drops open in horrified anger.
"What the actual fuck?! That’s ridiculous. You are not an abomination!" I say, almost slamming my hand to my mouth. I do not usually speak so crudely, but enough is enough!
"Uhm. My pack hated , my first mate rejected , Maze initially didn’t want and was hung up on his ex mate. She should be dead, but she is not and is now back to kill and get back with Maze. Oh and old enemies who strive for my families lives are back and working with the demon who brought main bitch Mira back from the fucking dead." Both Hannah and I look at each other.
"You win." We say together, bursting out laughing.
"Seriously, things are more than crazy around here. That’s why we needed to gather the Alphas and have this eting." She pauses. "And your training will help as well!" She smiles at .
We keep talking, laughing and I feel both myself and Luna Hannah relax more and more. We’re getting to know each other, and for once I’m with people who do not see as the fox girl, or soone bad for optics. I’m just Allison.
"What does your pack say to you being mated to the triplets?" Luna Hannah asks when Kiara goes very still. Her head snaps up, and Ruby imdiately growls in my mind at the wind being wrong.
’Sothing’s coming. Do not act for optics, act for yourself.’ Ruby says. I jump to my feet as Kiara does, Luna Hannah only a second behind us.
Soone jumps from the trees in the treeline, his postures hunching a little. He looks us over with greedy eyes, but Kiara is already in front of both Luna Hannah and I.
"Well, well. Delicious little pussycats. Mmmh." He says, licking his lips. Kiara gags before growing at him, leaning forward a little. More demons and rogues cross the borders.
They have officially attacked, and I quickly mindlink my mates, Fallon and Daniel. Kiara shifts into Winter, ordering Hannah and I to stay behind her. She kills the demon in front of her first, retracting to protect Luna Hannah and I.
I shift into Ruby placing her body in front of her as protection. Luna Hannah crouches down, trying to now be in the way, and Ruby bows her head to her in a respectful gesture. We might be a Luna so day, but we are not at the present, so she is ranked above .
’I got the Luna, your Grace.’ I mindlink Kiara, fighting a rogue who thinks we are easy prey. Ruby makes short progress of him, humming her satisfaction by the kill and the way we did it.
Suddenly we’re swamped by people from my pack, and other packs as well. A huge wolf growls thunderously and aims to get by Winter’s side, I guess that’s the King. Three identical black wolves, Ethan, Ezra and Elijah, rams straight into the fray and sends enemies flying without much effort. They throw demons and rogues to the side, breaking their necks and plow through them until they are by Ruby’s side.
A rogue moves in to attack to get to Luna Hannah, who is still crouched behind . He shifts to a shaggy wolf, growling and foaming at the mouth. We fight, and he gets in the leg, so much he almost rips over my muscle. Ruby whines, but stays in place, refusing to move. The rogue pounces to finish off when a blinding light and high scream forces him to pause.
’What happened?’ Kiara mindlinks, running towards where a caral colored wolf is standing over Ruby in a protective stance. I can feel my mates through the bond, all of them worried for .
’One of the rogues got , but I would not move so he could get to Hannah. Then he went in for the fatal blow. A bright light burst out of her, she scread and shifted into the wolf.’ Winter nods, but her eyes tell a story I am not privy to.
’Are you going to be alright?’ She asks, after Luna Hannah’s wolf bows to her. I answer I’m almost healed, even though that’s not quite the truth.
Suddenly the ground burst with a sound that is not a sound, and Kiara and Maze disappear. What in the realm happened?
