Arielle made sure that her appearance was proper enough to et Kael’s sister. Lucas said Miss Aie had arrived, and she was waiting in the reception room of Whitethorn Palace.
According to palace protocol, if it was a guest of the king, then the person would be invited to the Blackthorn palace. Whereas if it was a guest for the queen, then the person would be invited to the Whitethorn palace.
Even though Arielle had not officially beco a queen, her status as the king’s fiancé had allowed Arielle to do so.
When she left the Blackthorn Palace, a man was waiting for her. Lazarus was standing in front of the palace pillars.
"Good afternoon, Princess," he greeted.
"Good afternoon, Lazarus! You didn’t join William to accompany His Majesty?" Arielle asked in return for the man’s greeting.
"Oh, no-no. I’m here to ask your permission to join you."
"Join ?"
Lazarus nodded enthusiastically. "I heard you are going to et Miss Aie, right? I have treated Miss Aie as my own little sister, but I haven’t seen her in ten years since she entered the academy, so I miss her."
Arielle was a little unsure about letting Lazarus co with her to et Aie. After hearing their story earlier, it was clear they sounded very close but... Kael seed to object to letting Lazarus t his sister.
Arielle erased her bad thoughts and then nodded. She was nobody who could stop Lazarus from eting Miss Aie. If they were really that close, Miss Aie would not mind eting Lazarus again right?
"Ah, that’s how it is. Of course, you can."
"Whoa, thank you very much, Princess. I can’t wait to et that baby bear, hehehe," Lazarus said, making Arielle raise her eyebrows in confusion.
She had bad feeling about this.

Lucas escorted Arielle and Lazarus to the waiting room of the Whitethorn Palace. Kael was waiting at the door. He bowed respectfully.
"Has Miss Aie been waiting long?" Arielle asked Kael, who was holding Lazarus by the neck so the man wouldn’t enter the room with the princess.
"No, Your Highness. My sister just arrived."
"Ah, all right."
Kael stopped Lazarus from going in with Arielle.
"What is it?" Lazarus protested.
"Aie doesn’t want to et you," Kael replied curtly, dragging Lazarus away.
"Eh, but why? I just wanted to say hi, Kael. I haven’t seen her in ten years."
"No-no... Aie clearly said that she would refuse His Majesty’s offer if she t you. She still holds a grudge from ten years ago."
Lazarus blinked his eyes in confusion.
"She still hates after ten years? Hasn’t she grown up now? She should not be childish like that," he said disapprovingly.
Kael just glanced at Lazarus disinterestedly and he continued dragging the man from the waiting room. Lazarus said his sister was childish? Lazarus should have done so self-introspection before speaking like that. That man was even more childish than Sasha.
Kael had already spoken to his sister. Aie planned to accept Ronan’s offer to beco Arielle’s personal assistant. She was a noble who had an educational background, so she was very suitable to beco Arielle’s assistant.
Aie could help the princess learn so basic etiquette of being a noble lady. Besides, she wanted to use this opportunity to avoid the arranged marriage that their father planned..
Kael lived in the palace, so he didn’t even know how the man his father was going to betroth to his sister was. Kael was too indifferent to ask about it. He also had no desire to inherit his father’s title as a Duke. There was his younger brother who could do it. He preferred to be a knight commander. Thus, Kael didn’t really care about what happened to his family.
Kael didn’t let Lazarus escape. He didn’t want Lazarus to ruin Aie’s and the princess’ eting.
In the waiting room of the Whitethorn Palace, a brown-haired woman with natural freckles on her cheeks and nose sat gracefully. Arielle smiled kindly as the girl stood up. She then lifted her skirt slightly to give Arielle a curtsy.
"Miss Aie?"
The girl raised her head and replied to Arielle with a friendly smile. "Yes, Your Highness. It’s an honor to et you."
Arielle looked at Aie for a mont. It was like seeing a different woman from all of Lazarus’ stories. Aie wasn’t fat at all. Her body was slender with so curves that Arielle didn’t have.
Aie was younger than her, right? However, the girl looked more mature, with a very graceful deanor.
"Please have a seat, Miss Aie," Arielle said, inviting Aie to sit back on the couch.
"Thank you, Your Highness."
Aie was very beautiful. Arielle could see the resemblance between Aie and Kael, like Sasha and Crimson. It was just that they had different hair colors. Kael had black hair while Aie had light brown hair framing her beautiful face.
Her hair was in a neat bun, like a noble full of dignity. Her chin lifted slightly with an upright sitting posture. Very beautiful, Arielle thought.
Arielle cleared her throat, feeling awkward because this was her first experience of eting a noble in a formal audience like this. She didn’t know how to start the conversation.
anwhile, Aie had heard a lot about the princess from the newspapers and her brother’s stories.
"Um ... First, thank you for coming," Arielle said, opening the conversation.
"With pleasure, Your Highness. I am honored to be able to et you in person."
Arielle smiled shyly. For so reason, Aie had a truly extraordinary aura of a noble lady in Arielle’s eyes. It was like seeing her sister, Andrea. However, she knew little about Aie’s personality. Arielle only believed that Aie was a good person because she was Kael’s younger sister.
"I believe His Majesty the King had written his purpose for inviting you in the letter, right?" Arielle asked.
Aie nodded. "Yes, Your Highness. His Majesty the King invited to talk about being your personal assistant, and I’m here to give the answer."
"Ah, then, what do you think about the offer, Miss Aie?"
