"Hey, why are you looking at like that?"
Alex Hawk’s gaze made Brandan feel quite uneasy.
"You should be nicer to Iris Harris." Alex couldn’t quite figure it out, just had a vague feeling deep down, "Being nice to her... can’t be wrong."
Upon hearing that, Brandan rely snorted, "Why should I be nice to her? I can’t stand her!"
Alex replied, "Maybe you’ll end up liking her soday?"
Brandan dismissed the thought, "Impossible!"
Seeing Brandan’s usual attitude, Alex didn’t say much more. He was quite dull when it ca to matters of the heart and couldn’t offer much better advice. But as Brandan’s friend, he still hoped Brandan could have a better future...
He wasn’t sure if Brandan had so feelings for Iris, but he was afraid such an attitude would eventually leave Iris disheartened.
What he feared most was that by the ti Iris was completely disheartened, Brandan might realize it, and by then, who knows what would happen to Brandan...
He still hoped Brandan’s love life would go smoothly in the future.
So he hoped that while it wasn’t too late, Brandan could treat Iris better. Regardless of whether they ended up together, being nicer was always the right choice.
Alex shifted the topic back, "With Iris staying at your place, aren’t you going ho? Isn’t that..."
Brandan shot him a look, "I’d rather die than breathe the sa air as that woman!"
"Iris hasn’t done anything to you, right? Besides, she’s pregnant with your child..."
"Who are you siding with here?" Brandan glared at him. "I told her to take the pills! But no, she didn’t take them and deliberately got pregnant to help out! When I dragged her to get an abortion, she threatened by bringing up my mom!" Hearing this, Brandan’s handso face grew increasingly stormy.
Listening to Brandan’s words, Alex more or less understood the situation, "So that’s why you’re not going ho, huh." He couldn’t help but chuckle, "Now that there’s a child, just deal with it properly. Who told you not to use protection?"
He couldn’t forgive Iris for her deception.
Just then, a secretary timidly knocked on the door, "Mr. H-Hyde..."
Brandan, impatient, raised his eyebrows, "What?"
The young secretary, frightened by his icy stare, stamred even more, "Lady Hyde... called and wants you, Boss Hyde, to co ho for dinner tonight!"
"......."
Brandan was silent for a mont. Just when the secretary thought he wouldn’t agree, he reluctantly muttered, "Alright."
The secretary imdiately sighed in relief, "I’ll tell her right away!"
And she scurried away.
Watching this unfold, Alex couldn’t help but want to laugh.
Brandan, though incredibly proud and willful, was very filial to his mother, still a good kid at heart.
Seeing the smile lingering on his friend’s lips, Brandan shot him a look, "Enjoying my embarrassnt, are you?"
