Staying over, Stella Grant didn’t want to answer.

If it wasn’t illegal to slam soone with a door, she would have loved to test the lethality of her own door right now.

The two stared at each other, Silas Sutton looked down at her, his long eyes held a smile, clearly with a hint of naughtiness.

Stella Grant said, "President Sutton, you’re crossing a line."

Silas Sutton smirked, "Is it my actions crossing the line, or your thoughts crossing them?"

After speaking, he didn’t wait for Stella Grant to respond. Silas Sutton’s smile faded a little, becoming serious, "Don’t worry, not staying over, just ca to ask you about sothing."

When Silas Sutton ntioned asking about sothing, Stella Grant naturally thought of the ssage he had just sent her.

Unwilling to play dumb, Stella Grant asked directly, "Is it about my uncle?"

Silas Sutton admitted with a smile, "Yes."

Upon hearing this, Stella Grant shifted slightly, intending to let Silas Sutton in, but then paused and blocked the doorway again, "You ask."

Silas Sutton noticed all of Stella Grant’s small actions.

He raised his eyebrows slightly, "Talking at the door?"

Stella Grant replied calmly, "It’s late, being alone together in a room is inappropriate."

Silas Sutton knew exactly what Stella Grant was guarding against.

He leaned against the door fra with a smile, "Alright, let’s talk here then."

After saying that, Silas Sutton crossed his arms and said, "For years, I’ve been sending people to investigate the kidnapping case from back then, and recently my n discovered that your uncle, Zeke Adler, is connected to it."

Stella Grant asked, "What did he do?"

Silas Sutton replied, "The yard where I was kidnapped was an old abandoned lodge of the Adler Family."

Stella Grant frowned, "The Adler Family lodge?"

She had never heard of any old lodge from the Adler Family all her life.

Silas Sutton laughed, "Yes."

Stella Grant asked, "Are you certain?"

Silas Sutton’s thin lips curled up, "I don’t keep useless people around."

In other words, there was no mistake.

Since Silas Sutton said so, Stella Grant didn’t press further, thought for a few seconds, and told him everything she knew honestly.

"I don’t know about other things, but a few years ago he indeed suddenly had a sum of money to buy a car."

Silas Sutton looked at her from above, "Wasn’t that money the fifty grand your dad gave him?"

Silas Sutton said it so naturally that Stella Grant was montarily stunned, looking at him in astonishnt.

Silas Sutton seed amused, "Surprised why I would know?"

Stella Grant furrowed her brows slightly but didn’t ask.

There was nothing to ask. With Silas Sutton’s status, if he wanted to investigate sothing, he couldn’t be kept in the dark.

Seeing Stella Grant not asking, Silas Sutton’s smile deepened, he lowered his head a bit, his voice low and deep, "Stella Grant, you live so tenaciously."

Stella Grant looked up, "So do you, President Sutton."

Silas Sutton teased, "Is this what they call two kindred spirits eting?"

Stella Grant said plainly, "I dare not climb high."

Silas Sutton, "I permit you to climb."

Stella Grant’s eyelashes fluttered lightly, "I disdain to."

The two exchanged words back and forth, each ti Silas Sutton spoke, he leaned closer, seeing their noses almost touching, he suddenly stopped, "Why not dodge?"

Stella Grant stood still, after a few seconds, her red lips parted and said, "I’ve lived for twenty-six years and have never seen anyone like President Sutton eager to beco the third wheel."

Silas Sutton chuckled, "Yes, I’m eager to be your third wheel, will you have ?"

Stella Grant curled her lips, just about to reply, when Silas Sutton suddenly lowered his head and kissed her.

Silas Sutton’s thin lips held a smile, with a big hand he hooked Stella Grant from inside to the hallway, pressing her against the wall while kissing her and saying, "If I were you, I’d accept as the third wheel, making the most of resources."
