Seeing the push notification on her phone screen, Stella Grant instinctively swiped her finger across the screen to open it.

Just as she opened it, she rembered sothing and pressed to exit.

Forget it, it’s none of her business.

After exiting the engagent push notification about Silas Sutton, Stella Grant used her connections to investigate the female secretary beside Hugh York.

The investigation revealed that her na is Claudia Keaton, thirty-two years old, has a son, and is unmarried.

After finding out her current address, Stella Grant took a taxi to the neighborhood where she lived.

She originally thought that soone like that would definitely live in so kind of luxurious high-end community, but when she arrived, she found it was just an ordinary residential building.

Moreover, it’s an old-fashioned kind, without even a security guard.

Stella Grant got out of the car and saw two elderly n cooling off and playing chess in a small pavilion after entering the neighborhood.

Stella Grant, wearing high heels, approached, stood by for a while watching, and only after they finished a ga did she politely ask with a smile, "Hello, do you know Claudia Keaton?"

One of the old n looked up at her, shook his head, and said, "Don’t know her."

Stella Grant nodded, not expecting to be so lucky to get the answer imdiately anyway.

Stella Grant apologized to the two elderly n for the interruption and was about to leave when the other silent old man suddenly spoke up, "Claudia Keaton? Is that the girl from the Keaton Family? She used to work in Veridia, I think."

Upon hearing this, Stella Grant stopped and turned back, smiling as she replied, "Yes, do you know her?"

The old man said, "Yes, we live across the hall from each other."

After speaking, the old man looked up at Stella Grant and asked, "Are you her friend?"

Stella Grant didn’t dare to tell the truth, instead nodding and saying, "Yes, I’m a friend."

The old man, noticing Stella Grant’s non-local accent, asked, "Are you from Veridia?"

Stella Grant admitted, "Yes, you caught that."

The old man chuckled, "Your accent is very similar to a man who often cos to see her. That man is from Veridia, and he seems to have been Claudia Keaton’s forr boss."

The old man spoke a few more words, suddenly realizing he might have said too much, shifted the topic, saying, "She’s not ho right now. Her child is sick, and she’s staying at the Maternity and Child Health Hospital."

Stella Grant understood and thanked them again, "Thank you."

The old man replied, "No need."

After the conversation, Stella Grant smiled and left.

Just as she turned away, she heard the old man lower his voice, "You really don’t know the Keaton Family’s Claudia? She’s the only girl in our building who got into graduate school. Such a good girl, having a child out of wedlock... It’s a good thing old Mr. Keaton is gone, otherwise..."

The old man who shared information about Claudia Keaton sighed to the other old man.

The other old man joined in with a sigh, "Girls nowadays, really, can’t say..."

Hearing this, Stella Grant furrowed her eyebrows slightly but didn’t turn back.

Half an hour later, Stella Grant altered her route and arrived at the Maternity and Child Health Hospital. After so inquiries, she learned which ward Claudia Keaton was in.

Stella Grant didn’t imdiately enter the ward but instead went to the nearby store to buy a carton of milk and so fruit.

After purchasing the items, Stella Grant returned to the hospital and knocked on the door of Claudia Keaton’s ward.

The door was knocked on twice, but no one answered from inside. Instead, a deliberately lowered voice of argunt could be heard.

"I told you before to stay in Veridia with your child, but you didn’t listen, and insisted on coming back to Portre."

"Even if you don’t consider yourself, you should consider the child more."

"Look at you now, struggling by yourself, without a single person to give you a hand."

Through the door, Hugh York’s deep voice carried a tinge of anger.

After a while, a female voice responded from inside, "President York, I’ve already troubled you enough. I can’t trouble you any further."

Hugh York said, "What do you an, trouble? We’ve worked together for so many years. Do we not have this bit of connection? Besides, I also have responsibility for the child."

The two continued their dispute inside, and Stella Grant felt it inappropriate to intrude, so she turned to sit on a bench in the hospital corridor, intending to wait for them to finish arguing before entering.

Unexpectedly, just as she sat down, a familiar figure, bent over, pushed a cart of bedsheets and covers for washing right past her.

Stella Grant was startled, standing up suddenly.

The person walked with their head down, not noticing her, occasionally speaking with a middle-aged woman beside them.

"I can handle it alone, take a rest."

"What do you want for lunch? I’ll go buy groceries later and cook for you at ho."
