Chapter 2242: Chapter 2242: Temps Hiring Temps

"Sure, co and take it," Xu Huo patted the communicator on his wrist.

The bald-headed big man didn’t move but signaled to the players beside him.

Watching the players coming out from behind, Xu Huo continued, "I’m now a law enforcent officer, you’ve seen my work permit earlier, unauthorized personnel occupying the Law Enforcent Building violates the law. If you don’t leave after this one warning and attempt to threaten or rob, there’s a law enforcent recorder here. Are you sure you want to beco wanted criminals?"

The group burst into laughter. Putting aside Bu Liu City’s laws, their actions would be illegal in any other district, but what does it matter?

"With just a few of you?" the bald head said disdainfully.

"That makes it much easier," Xu Huo took out two ard robots and gave the order to execute on the spot. He had updated the weapons on these ard robots, replacing them with energy weapons not yet listed in the ga’s hot weapons catalog, bought from the Eye of Platinum. They were powerful and not too costly.

The ard robots, with their super reaction capabilities, might not be as fast as the players, but usually, items and characteristics effective against humans don’t affect them. Continuous shooting and small-range explosions could form a dense web of firepower, with a few players who ca with Xu Huo helping out. For a while, chaos erupted inside the Law Enforcent Building.

Xu Huo stepped aside and reminded them, "You’ll have to pay for the damage to public property, don’t say I didn’t warn you."

"Die!" a player stord over in a rage, but his props couldn’t harm Xu Huo. Before he even ca within ten ters of Xu Huo, his arm was sliced off by a wall of blades ford by secant lines and spatial ray blades.

The person reacted quickly, retreating as soon as he sensed danger, but he found nowhere to retreat. Xu Huo had been waiting for him, and the newly acquired flying knives prop "Working Hours" automatically blocked his retreat, attacking continuously and then morphing into several small spikes that demolished the opponent’s defensive barrier from different angles. This man finally died under the sneak attack of "Pie from the Sky," with a bloody hole smashed in his head. A triumphant start.

On the other side, the fight wasn’t over yet, but Xu Huo dragged the corpse over, photographed, registered, and uploaded it, all in one go.

The reaction speed after becoming an internal mber of the enforcent agency was really fast. The terminal machine’s screen in the hall, which had just been connected to energy, instantly popped up with "Wanted Criminal Identity Confird." Imdiately, a fresh warrant announcent was stamped "Processed."

"Let’s go, don’t miss a single one," Xu Huo turned the electronic eye of the terminal towards the bald-headed group, quickly supplenting them with wanted notices and calling out to the allied players. "Now they’re all wanted criminals, killing them is definitely effective, and definitely won’t be wrong."

The bald group still had the upper hand, fighting with a few players and two ard robots while still sparing attention for Xu Huo. Especially a long-haired female player among them, with a ferocious combat style, wielding a long blade almost cleaved an ard robot in half.

Ard robots are very expensive if players want to buy them, and they aren’t easy to carry around because so weapons can’t be put in the props column. So players typically use tool robots more when utilizing them. Xu Huo’s two robots had been further modified at the Eye of Platinum, making them even pricier. One such robot could purchase a decent Rank A Prop, and now that it was almost chopped into scrap tal, it was a heavy loss.

"You can’t escape from destroying governnt property," Xu Huo used a defense prop to lock down the whole building, simultaneously bringing the female player closer to him, drawing the Black Blade to parry her long blade. After exchanging several moves, the female player realized he was not an easy opponent and began to use props for assistance.

Both sides were using similar tactics; props could only unexpectedly damage the opponent’s defensive barrier, without causing significant harm. During another close combat, the female player whispered softly, "I have a heartfelt truth."

This characteristic wasn’t blocked by the "Revolving Lantern," and because of those words, Xu Huo couldn’t help but halt, seemingly genuinely about to listen to her.

Seeing him pause, the female player swung a blade at his neck!

"Stop!" Xu Huo commanded face-to-face.

The attack from a close person indeed halted but then quickly resud clarity. During this brief pause, Xu Huo already delivered a kick to the opponent’s chest, penetrating two layers of defensive barriers with secant lines before the female player spun to attack the innermost layer of the "Within Reach" barrier.

"Within Reach" was a prop Xu Huo had taken from players who intercepted him; it ford multilayered defensive barriers. Each barrier didn’t interconnect and could be layered, potentially covering half a city or as small as ten ters. Earlier, he had only opened two layers: one sealing the Law Enforcent Building and one covering it externally. To leave, these two layers must be broken.

As a Rank A Defense Barrier, this prop’s performance was quite decent. During the fighting inside the building, only the first barrier layer was damaged; the external barrier remained.

The female player aid to escape. Xu Huo enhanced spiritual items, focusing on her attentively. Subsequently, this person died in the tornado-like swirling materialized items.

Then Xu Huo turned back to handle the other individuals whose wanted orders had been approved.

Not long after, among the players occupying the Law Enforcent Building, all except one bald man were killed on the spot.

"One escaped. Do you want to chase?" A fellow player, Chen Zhongzhi, looked at Xu Huo.

"Ignore him," Xu Huo watched the already distant figure, "It’ll be better if he brings more people over."

"True," the seemingly carefree Zhu Xiaojin put away his props, grinning, "Wouldn’t it be nice if wanted criminals showed up every day while we’re sitting here."

"There are two more outside," female player Tang Yu reminded.

Those were the two players guarding the door.

"Are you still not leaving?" Xu Huo raised an eyebrow.

After all that fighting, the two hadn’t left.

"Well, we don’t really have anywhere to go," said the player who handed Xu Huo the manual earlier, "You need people to guard the place anyway."

They didn’t seem like the kind of people with "ambition." Since they hadn’t intervened earlier, Xu Huo, in his capacity as a Temporary Enforcent Officer, issued them temporary work permits. Including Zhu Xiaojin, four people were now hired as temporary workers for the Municipal Governnt through him.

"Honestly speaking, if you don’t plan on passing the level, this isn’t half bad," comnted the gatekeeper, Shen Fu, "Nobody manages the place anyway; we could set up our own Municipal Governnt."
