Capítulo 2243: Chapter 2243: Lost mories
“You do have so ideas.” Zhu Xiaojin looked at him in surprise.
The ti limit for Shen Fu and the second gatekeeper, Shi ng, was already running out.
“This instance has a ti limit.” Xu Huo said. Before coming, he had read a strategy guide and thought it was an instance without a ti limit.
Instances without a ti limit usually belong to regular instances. Such instances are not considered the highest risk among Rank-B instances. Even if you clearly fail to clear them, as long as the instance still exists, players can only be stuck in the instance zone. Worse still, if you fail to clear it and get stuck, and then soone else clears the instance, you are brought out with them. In that case, you’ll have to face high-risk randomness upon exit.
Instances with a ti limit are considered relatively high risk. Even if you fail to clear them, players can still leave the instance zone when the ti limit is reached. The ti model for clearing C-level and below instances is the sa.
“The instance has a ti limit, but we’ve played a third of the ga.” Shen Fu sighed and said, “I don’t know why, but I heard from others that anyone who participates in the One Third Ga can’t leave the zone even if the ti limit of the ‘One Third City’ instance expires.”
“Could the One Third Ga be a random instance?” Zhu Xiaojin and the others had just arrived but learned a bit from other players about the One Third Ga. “However, players can’t enter two instances simultaneously. Even if there’s a random instance embedded here, you would have to fail ‘One Third City’ first to enter it.”
“The One Third Ga is referred to as One Third City here. No one would believe there’s no relation between the instance and the ga.” Tang Yu said, “But, when the ti limit is reached, can you really not leave? Is this sothing you heard or is it actually true?”
Shen Fu and the others had heard about it, but soon they would know if it was true, as their instance ti limit was approaching.
“It’s just about killing fugitives. How many people are required for your instance mission, and why can’t you clear it?” Chen Zhongzhi and the others found it perplexing.
“What if I told you I forgot, would you believe ?” Shen Fu said slowly.
“What!” Chen Zhongzhi and the others felt confused. What does that an? An instance mission can be forgotten?
“What exactly is the One Third Ga you entered?” Xu Huo frowned and asked.
“I forgot.” Shi ng said sowhat numbly, “Forget about past matters, I can’t even rember the current ones. The player’s identity, dinsional ga, plus the usage and existence of props and potions, I’ve forgotten everything. If I hadn’t run into Brother Shen, I wouldn’t even know what I was doing.”
“Exactly,” Shen Fu said, “I’m relatively better off, just forgot about so past things but at least I rember who I am. But honestly, I don’t know what I experienced in the ‘One Third Ga.’ It’s like ti was cut off. I don’t know when I entered or how many tis. All I know is that after coming out, I don’t rember how many fugitives I killed, and most of the instance ti has passed.”
“We would like to follow the instance requirents and try again, but where can we find so many fugitives in One Third City to kill? Everyone is a player, so we don’t dare.”
“Moreover, what if we muddle into the ga again next ti and forget once we’re out?”
“Didn’t you prepare a mark in advance?” Tang Yu couldn’t help but ask, “Write down the number of people you killed and put it in your luggage compartnt. Even if you forget after coming out, you’ll know the progress with a note.”
Shen Fu displayed an awkward smile, “Maybe we didn’t have ti. Anyway, there’s nothing in my luggage compartnt, and much of the clearing ti was wasted.”
“Who told you that you can’t leave even when the instance ti limit is reached?” Chen Zhongzhi asked.
“The Bald Head.” Shen Fu said, “The one who ran away earlier; he and two other players have been here for over forty days already. That’s what they said themselves.”
Xu Huo and the others were silent.
“What’s the situation with the One Third Ga?” Tang Yu asked.
Shen Fu and the others weren’t clear, but they still rembered the win-lose notifications from the ga, indicating they lost in the previous round of the One Third Ga and, according to the ga agreent, their chips would be taken away.
As for what the chips were, they didn’t know.
“From when did your mory start missing?” Xu Huo asked Shen Fu.
“Everything before age 35 is unclear, just blank.” Shen Fu replied, “I rember the things after that, but forgot the part regarding the ga. Then, they just inford
that I lost the ga.”
Shi ng, needless to say, began his mory from the notification that he lost his chips in the One Third Ga.
“Are the things you brought with you still there?” Xu Huo asked again.
“Apart from so food and use, props and potions are missing.” Shen Fu said, “I don’t know whether they beca chips or not.”
“Props as chips makes sense,” Zhu Xiaojin said, “Having no mory of the ga session is also understandable, but why forget past matters? Surely mory isn’t part of the chips, right?”
“In any case, this instance is too strange.” Chen Zhongzhi said, “It’s possible that the local Player Organization is causing trouble.”
“Players can’t restrict the freedom of tickets.” Tang Yu looked at Shen Fu and the others. “We’ll find out in a few days if they can leave this zone.”
“Did you find out how to trigger the ga?” Zhu Xiaojin asked again.
Shi ng knew nothing, and Shen Fu rembered, but he didn’t know what exactly triggered the ga. He had killed people who weren’t fugitives, killed Municipal Governnt players, went out at night, and stepped out of unlocked areas—in fact, he was unclear about where the boundaries of his unlocked area lay. Each ti a region was unlocked, a faint light appeared, but other players could also see them. As the area increased, it was impossible to cover such a large range, so over ti, it beca confusing.
“Are you guys fugitives?” Xu Huo suddenly asked.
Shen Fu and the others shook their heads quickly. Nightti excursions and stepping out of unlocked areas are not part of the legal provisions restricting the clearance of players. As for unintended killing, there were no eyewitnesses, and the Municipal Governnt didn’t handle it publicly, nor was there a wanted notice, so they couldn’t be considered fugitives.
“Don’t be so desperate,” Xu Huo said again, “There might not be only ‘One Third City’ as an instance in this city. The Bald Head and the others might be players lingering in other unlimited-ti instances. It’s normal for open non-closed instances to have overlapping areas.”
The group could only think about it that way for now.
Zhu Xiaojin and the others asked Shen Fu about so daily details since arriving, compared them to see if there was any possibility of triggering the “One Third Ga,” and prepared mory recorders and paper and pen ahead of ti, planning to do both simultaneously.
“Those people killed too fast just now.” Chen Zhongzhi regretted a bit.
“That’s not difficult. We just need to find more people to ask.” Xu Huo looked outside, “It’s almost eight o’clock.”
