A gnawing realization began to seep in—perhaps the ice dragon he had seen earlier passed through that region on a whim, rely crossing the area out of boredom or aimlessness.
The vast landscape seed to mock Rain's quest, leaving him with a profound feeling of frustration and waste of ti. The fruitless search stirred feelings of helplessness within him, amplifying the weight of uncertainty regarding the whereabouts of everyone.
In any case, Rain only used half of the mana that he could recover over ti, even while his rings were equipped since he wanted to keep his mana full at most of tis, but even so, it didn't take long for Rain to make the path reach level five and as he had expected, he didn't get any new skill.

With this new ability in his arsenal, Rain anticipated better efficiency and adaptability. It was a crucial attribute in various situations.
"I guess the next step would be to create sothing like Vitality sacrifice, but that is rather dangerous… starting fights with my health already decreased will be a pain," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"... What the fuck?" Rain furrowed his eyebrows.
As Rain glanced at the unexpected notification from the system, his brow furrowed in surprise. The ssage seed to reflect a detailed analysis of the skills he'd been acquiring. It was a mont when the system appeared more akin to an advanced program conducting a thorough evaluation of his abilities.

Regardless, Rain's timing was good. As he continued his flight over the terrain, a welco sight erged from the monotonous landscape of snow-covered islands and icebergs. In the distance, sothing peculiar caught his attention—pointy, slender structures that broke the pattern of the desolate scenery. Drawing nearer, Rain confird his suspicions: these were watchtowers.
Their tall silhouettes reached toward the sky, standing as silent sentinels amid the cold, desolate environnt. Approaching cautiously, Rain felt a faint glimr of hope spark within him. The sight of the watchtowers hinted at signs of civilization or, at the very least, an inhabited area.
Eager to uncover more about this newfound discovery, Rain soared closer, keen to investigate the area surrounding the watchtowers and discover any clues that might lead him to his companions. Still, soon enough he confird that half of the watchtowers were covered in snow… and the part that was free from it was at least one hundred ters tall.
"A lot of ti passed for this much snow to accumulate…" Rain thought as he landed in the area in the middle of four watchtowers. "This area is quite big, so a lot of people have been here…"
As Rain descended toward the ground level, his domain's aura underwent a subtle transformation. The icy chill surrounding him lessened, causing the frozen landscape to thaw gradually. Rain had altered the aura to lt the ice and not to leave conspicuous signs of his passage, yet his intention to avoid leaving significant traces of his actions.
Upon reaching the ground, Rain observed several structures that had been enveloped in ice and snow. Despite the ice, it beca evident that these buildings were crafted from the earth itself, ford through the adept use of earth magic.
Although shrouded in layers of frost, these earth-based constructions piqued Rain's curiosity, hinting that his friends and family had been there, at least so of them… they used a simple design, copying the style that Rain used.
"The temperature isn't dropping, but living here was supposed to be pretty harsh…" Rain thought.
