Rain surveyed the area before he filled the hole he created with water and froze it. His keen eyes searched the area for any signs of past skirmishes or confrontations. However, to his surprise, there were no traces of battles or struggles across the vicinity. The absence of such evidence led him to imagine that his family and friends hadn't left the camp due to a battle.

It appeared more likely that this camp had served as their initial refuge, a temporary haven. Yet, for reasons unknown to Rain, they had made a swift departure, leaving behind these dwelling structures from the earth's materials. Their departure seed purposeful, hinting that they had chosen to move on from this location for reasons unknown.

"I don't know how much they traveled to reach this place, but they probably cultivated so food to have so reserves underground," Rain used his magic and then confird a massive hideout underground. "It is a common tactic… to camp in an area to gather resources and scout the places around for trouble and other things."

That was the kind of knowledge that Rain wanted to write down in his book, but he didn't have the chance to do so… in any case, his friends and family weren't stupid, and Branden was quite smart when it ca to tactics too.

Regardless, if they had watchtowers there and they weren't attacked, it ant that for a long period of ti, the dragons didn't look for them… maybe they thought that ordinary humans wouldn't be able to survive their ice age. Still, everyone who left the first underground hideout should have unlocked the high human path, and the sea folk did the sa with their own variation of the path.

"Since my kids had the genes of their mothers, they probably beca quite cute… or perhaps handso and beautiful would be the better adjective since they are supposed to be one hundred years old," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I don't feel bad about the fact that Danny could look more handso than now, and this is a bit weird.

Competition in everything fueled my heart for decades, but I guess I don't mind losing to my kids."

Rain pressed forward, heading southward, his mind deep in thought amidst the snowy landscape. The unsettling realization continued to trouble him. It felt surreal and, frankly, bizarre that, in terms of pure chronology, his children were now older than he was.

This peculiarity weighed heavily on him, accentuating the staggering notion that everyone he once knew, from his kids to his friends, now exceeded him in age—factoring in not just his first life but also the long ti spent within the ring.

The sheer temporal distortion, the disparity between his experienced years and his physical age, added another layer of complexity to Rain's already tumultuous thoughts. Yet, despite the disquieting thoughts, his determination to reunite with his loved ones forced him onward through the snow-covered terrain.

Eventually, Rain could find in the distance that the number of Islands began to decrease and they began to look smaller as well… it was about damn ti, that archipelago with countless islands extended itself for thousands of kiloters, after all.

"I didn't find any traces of the origin of the giant monsters… and it looks like from here, they could have chosen to follow either left or right," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully when he stopped moving. "They also could have gone further south by creating so earth platforms and used to move in the ocean."

There was the possibility that the giant monsters that threatrened the world thirty thousand years ago actually ca from the layer below… Rain had no idea how was that possible and how they ca to be, though.

Navigating and even fighting in the ocean in their current situation seed unwise for the humans. While Rain could maneuver through the skies well, the others lacked the necessary experience to do so effectively, even if they had trained to do so. Battling or crossing such vast expanses in the air without ample practice could lead to disastrous consequences.

It dawned on Rain that their predicant would have been less daunting had the sea folk remained by their side.

The absence of the sea folk, who were seasoned navigators and had an innate mastery over aquatic territories, left the group at a distinct disadvantage. Without their expertise in aquatic environnts, journeying across the ocean seed increasingly perilous for everyone.

"I don't have any other choice, I will have to punch Seadrei and make him lose so teeth for splitting up my family," Rain thought. "I will let him punch as well since I deserve it. An eye for an eye. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be."

Rain wondered if Seara and Sealyn would be in that direction… Even if the ocean was cold and the sea folk disliked it, maybe they had gotten used to it over the years and until now, Rain didn't find any traces of dragons in that area… he was starting to worry thanks to it.

While Rain was thinking of what he should do, he suddenly felt a change in the air. Before long, Rain felt so wind coming from the south… even though the wind was supposed to co from the back. At the sa ti, Rain felt so ondulations in the mana in the air…

"A fight?" Rain thought.

Rain observed the mana lingering in the atmosphere, yet its signature didn't quite match of those he knew. Despite this, he couldn't entirely rule out the possibility that it belonged to his family or friends. Their abilities should have advanced considerably in the last few decades, making it challenging for Rain to discern their specific mana traces.

Regardless, he chose to proceed in the direction where the unfamiliar mana seed to concentrate, venturing further south. The hope of reuniting with everyone fueled Rain's determination, even in the face of uncertain and unfamiliar magical energies in the air.
