Fortunately, Madeline’s n were able to find the power reserve and activated it imdiately, and in just a short ti, the lights in the basent ca on one by one.
Since it was dark around them before, everyone there had to close their eyes for a while. Only after getting used to the light were they able to open their eyes.
That’s when they were very surprised by what happened in the basent. It turned out that there were quite a lot of zombies there, not only that the bat zombie that Theodore had previously fought started screaming in pain when he was exposed to the sun.
Slowly but surely the bat zombie’s body began to burn and finally disappeared into dust. And the remaining zombies there imdiately roared angrily when they saw the bat zombie burned to death.
"You guys in the car get out, except for the one in Theodore’s car. Help us fight these damn zombies!" Madeline imdiately told her other n to get out and help them.
As soon as they got out, the zombies began to rush towards Theodore and the others. Theodore quickly moved forward to attract the zombies’ attention.
While the others attacked the zombies from behind. Because he was in the front row Theodore thoughtlessly activated his Area of Protection skill to protect himself.
"Keep attacking them!" Theodore who beca the body also gritted his teeth strongly, he had to continue to survive so that the others could attack the zombies.
Unfortunately, Madeline’s group only had a few bullets left at the mont. Madeline had to rack her brains on how to defeat the remaining zombies that were still quite a lot.
"We have very few bullets left! We have to find another way to defeat them." Inevitably Madeline had to say this to Theodore, no matter who was guarding the front for them.
"Damn, why does it have to be now." Theodore realized that their current situation was very unfavorable.
"I can help with my powers, although not too much," said Cassian who was also there and was shooting the zombies with the others.
"Please hold on I need to get sothing." Cassian quickly walked away from there and stepped towards the truck carrying their goods.
Madeline actually wanted to stop Cassian, but she was also curious about what Cassian would do. If indeed he could help them kill these zombies, then it would be beneficial, so she let Cassian do what he wanted.
Not long after, Cassian returned with two iron bars. When she saw that, Madeline glared angrily, because the goods in the truck belonged to their captain, so how could he dare to take the goods there.
"What are you doing!" Madeline imdiately shouted angrily.
"I need it to activate my powers," Cassian replied casually, after all he was the one who collected the items for Victor, so he could use it at will, especially since they needed it like now.
Without paying attention to Madeline’s sharp glance, he imdiately grasped one of the iron rods and imdiately turned it into a sharp needle with a large enough size, so that the needle could imdiately kill zombies.
In an instant Cassian flew his needles towards the zombies swarming around them, in a short ti dozens of zombies imdiately fell to Cassian’s attack.
With Cassian’s help, their burden was greatly reduced. Now that there were only a few zombies left, it was Theodore who chose to take over the battle.
Theodore activated his Sprint skill to increase his general speed. Theodore quickly swung his sword to behead the zombies around him.
Fortunately, Theodore’s attributes had increased a lot so he could easily kill these zombies, even though they had evolved before.
It took about 2 hours for the group to clear out the zombies in the underground room.
Everyone who participated in the fight imdiately fell to their places when the fight ended. Theodore also felt exhausted after fighting for such a long ti. Finally, they decided to rest there for a while.
"Damn, we went in here and t that many zombies, shouldn’t we continue our journey."
"Then, how long will we be in this place?"
"Honestly there are more zombies out there, we won’t be able to last long if we continue our journey," Cassian said what he had seen when they were outside.
"It will be dangerous if we continue our journey. For a while it’s better to monitor the situation outside of this place." Theodore spoke up as well.
"Then should we go upstairs?"
"When you’re done resting, we can go upstairs," Madeline replied, finally speaking up as well.
"Co on, boss!"
Madeline’s n eagerly nodded their heads in agreent to go upstairs, honestly they would vomit if they stayed here because there were too many zombie corpses.
Since it was safe Chelsea and Neville who were in the car got out to approach Theodore and Cassian.
"Are you guys okay?" Chelsea imdiately asked how her brother and Theodore were doing.
"I’m just tired, the rest is safe," Theodore replied casually.
"No need to worry, we’re fine." Cassian also answered to calm Chelsea who looked quite worried.
"We’re going upstairs, you guys should co too," Theodore said inviting the others to follow Madeline and the others who were already walking upstairs.
"Alright, let’s go upstairs. Is it safe upstairs?" Chelsea was quite curious about the situation upstairs.
Neville, who had been silent, imdiately spoke up, "From what I hear, there’s nothing up there," Neville replied calmly.
"Thank goodness you’re here. At least we know there’s no one else up there," Chelsea replied, ruffling Neville’s hair.
With that, they began to follow Madeline and the others upstairs. Theodore also realized that this building was very spacious, he realized that they could use this building to rest for a few days.
Not only that, they can also observe what is happening out there because this building is more or less made of glass, so they can easily pay attention to the situation out there.
