Leo was silent for a mont. He tried to peek under the ship, but he couldn’t see anything.

"If it’s worth any consolation, everything happened so fast that he probably couldn’t even register pain."

"I..." Timmy fell on his knees, looking at his hands. "What did I do?"

Even though his hands were perfectly clean, he could still see blood on them. His heart was unable to settle down.

Leo scratched the back of his head, seeing Timmy fall apart right before his eyes. He placed a hand on Timmy’s shoulder to console him.

"I was just kidding. You didn’t kill anyone. The person wasn’t an ordinary human. He teleported right before you crashed. So don’t bla yourself."

He didn’t really see any teleportation. Although the man was truly weird, Leo truly saw him getting crushed. Still, to protect Timmy’s sanity, he lied to his face.

"Are you telling the truth?" Timmy raised his head, his eyes still red.

"Look at . Do I look like the kind of person who would lie?" Leo asked, his voice carrying as much sincerity as it could. "You haven’t killed anyone. So don’t bla yourself."

Timmy instantly felt his heart becoming lighter. He forced his body up, even as his weak legs trembled in the process.

"That is good." He placed a hand on his chest and sighed in relief.

Leo didn’t say anything. He just made a note to bury this secret forever. Even though soone had died, there was nothing that could be changed.

With such a brutal crash, even the body would’ve been crushed beyond recognition. He couldn’t even compensate the relatives of the person.

"Can the ship still fly?" he asked Timmy, who looked awkward.

"I crashed because the reactor stopped working. With a little repair, it should be good to go," Timmy answered, making Leo almost slap the back of his head.

Timmy had crashed two ships by the ti he had known him. After all that, did he really have the courage to sit in a ship where the reactor had to be repaired?

"Just give a second. I’ll get it working."

Before Leo could even answer, Timmy rushed inside the ship, being as cheerful as ever since he hadn’t killed soone.

Leo didn’t even want to imagine what kind of luck Timmy had. The first ti they t, he crashed the ship. The second ti they t, they got kidnapped. And the third ti they t, he crashed the ship and even killed soone.

’Do I need to report this?’ Leo wondered, his expressions growing complicated.

If it ca to light, then Timmy could be arrested. He could run away from the planet before that, but he would still beco a wanted man, never able to return to earth again.

This thing was more troubleso for Timmy than it was for him. That’s why it was so complicated. It could even put his own plans in jeopardy.

"Are you alright, sir? That was dangerous. Luckily, I, a young man who struggles to pay rent, was passing by."

Leo looked at Kaelus, rembering that there was a character like this as well.

He didn’t know why, but from the mont Kaelus appeared, he felt sothing strange. Everything he looked at Kaelus, who looked like an ordinary human, he felt a strange headache.

He couldn’t stare at Kaelus for more than a few seconds at a ti.

"Are you sure you should be worrying about when your friend just died?" Leo asked Kaelus.

"Oh him, there’s no need to worry about h-" Kaelus imdiately answered, only to imdiately cover his mouth.

He acted ignorant and asked, "Whaaat? My friend? It’s the first ti I saw that stranger. Who was he? Did you know that evil man?"

’Can’t you put so effort into your acting? Are you worried that I wouldn’t notice that you two were working together?’

Leo rubbed his forehead. He was almost certain that Kaelus knew that incompetent robber. Even their entire act of saving his life was blatantly obvious.

The only thing he didn’t understand was why? What did Kaelus want from him, to pull an act like this? He shouldn’t have been known here. Even the Hero Tower shouldn’t know about his current whereabouts to send soone.

’Could they be sent by the couple who sold that villa? Or are they acting independently?’

"More importantly, are you alright?" Kaelus asked again, breaking the silence. "That robber looked really scary. If I hadn’t saved you, anything could’ve happened."

For now, Leo decided to play along. It was partially to understand Kaelus’ purpose, but mainly as a compensation for his friend’s loss.

"I am fine," Leo said, brushing imaginary dust off his expensive suit. "Though I didn’t need saving. I have bodyguards on the way."

"Oh? Bodyguards?" Kaelus’s eyes lit up.

’Yes! This is it! Arrogance! The reliance on money rather than personal strength!’

"I see," Kaelus said, trying to look humble. "Well, it is good to be wealthy. I wouldn’t know, of course. I have to work three part ti jobs just to afford instant noodles. My clothes are hand--downs from my grandfather who mysteriously died last year."

"Is that so?" Leo asked, glancing at the patched jacket which was actually woven from high-grade mana silk disguised to look like rags.

Even as an ordinary human, he could feel the mana within his clothes that were made to look ordinary.

"What is your na? And where do you live?"

"My na is Kaelus, and I live in the villa next to yours... er, I an, I live in the servants’ quarters of the villa next to yours! Because I am poor!"

"Kaelus, huh." Leo mumbled, before his eyes suddenly lit up.

’Wait a minute... Isn’t this the na of... No, it should be a coincidence, right? But what if he is truly...?’

"Right. Servants’ quarters," Leo quickly recovered his calm even though he could easily call out that lie. After all, both villas were identical. Neither should’ve had a servant quarter.

"I’m Leo. Try not to get into fights, kid. You might break a bone."

Leo turned away, hiding a frown. First that strange feeling, and then the matching na? Is that headache because he’s constantly using an illusion?

"In that case, his friend shouldn’t be ordinary. If my assumption is right, there should be nothing under the ship." Leo grimly looked at the crashed ship that was being repaired.

After half an hour, the ship’s reactor was repaired. Or more like, it was temporarily patched.

Timmy delivered the good news, and told Leo to enter.

Leo didn’t just step inside, and told Timmy to start the ship and rise a little. He gave the excuse that it was to see if the ship was truly working again. But the real reason was simply to see what was beneath.

Timmy followed the order, and the ship rose a few feet off the ground, revealing a giant dent under the ship, and a crater on the ground.

More importantly, there was no crushed body underneath. There wasn’t even blood.

Leo’s heartbeat beca faster as he slowly turned around, his eyes landing on Kaelus. At this ti, he was almost convinced that there was a high chance of the person being Voldred’s only son!

If that was true, he could report it right away. He could get the child taken back to Necropolis. But wasn’t there a better option for now?

The gears in Leo’s mind had started shifting, various thoughts erging from within.

In another place, Reven was looking from the window, holding his back that had shattered under that crash.

Even though he was in pain, he was relieved that the Prince’s plan had worked.

"Kaelus..." Leo lowered his head. He bore through the headache as he stared at Kaelus.

"Since you saved my life, I have a reward in mind for you." He stepped on the ship, leaving his other feet hanging in the air as he reached out his hand towards Kaelus.
