"Could it be that the intensity of the electromagnetic interference isn't strong enough? The EMP pulse from a nuclear explosion is very powerful. In our electromagnetic interference experints, it seems like we didn't achieve that level of intensity. Could that be the reason?" soone suggested a different perspective, trying to find details that they might have overlooked.

However, Chen Xin shook his head, dismissing this possibility: "It shouldn't be an issue of intensity. In the laboratory, the intensity might indeed be insufficient during experints, but on the battlefield, we're using military-grade interference equipnt. The interference intensity is no less than that of a nuclear explosion."

"Then what could be the reason? Could it be the interference frequency? But we're using full-spectrum blocking—it shouldn't still be a problem!" another researcher with a military background asked, puzzled.

"There must be sothing we're not noticing. The idea of electromagnetic interference is correct, there's no doubt about it, but it's evident that the alien communication ans cannot be disrupted by re electromagnetic wave interference or full-spectrum blocking," Chen Xin was slightly frustrated with himself for not being a true expert, feeling devoid of any inspiration in his mind.

The room full of biologists also couldn't find any inspiration. After all, their usual research was on biology, not electromagnetic waves.

At this point, soone suggested, "Our specialty doesn't match; why don't we get a few people from the communications and physics fields to help us analyze the situation?"

"Sure, I'll apply to the higher-ups," Chen Xin nodded in agreent upon hearing this suggestion and, noticing the fatigue on everyone's faces, said, "Everyone has worked hard; let's call it a day. Go back and rest well."

Upon Chen Xin's words, the biologists in the laboratory reluctantly stopped their work and left in small groups, while the remaining people tidied up their current tasks before leaving.

Seeing everyone heading to rest, Chen Xin also organized his work. After tidying up, he planned to leave the laboratory to get sothing to eat.

Lately, he had been spending long hours in the lab, often skipping als, only grabbing sothing to eat out of hunger with the help of staff bringing random food to fill his stomach.

Having decided to take a rest, Chen Xin couldn't resist his hunger anymore and planned to have a proper al at the cafeteria.

However, upon leaving the lab, he found Mo Qingyan waiting at the laboratory door, carrying a food box.

"Xin, are you hungry? I brought you so food," Mo Qingyan greeted Chen Xin as soon as he ca out, lifting the food box she had in her hand.

"Why are you here? Have you been waiting long?" Chen Xin quickly glanced at his watch, realizing it was long past alti, and asked Mo Qingyan with concern, "Why didn't you co in? You're just standing here."

"I was planning to go in, but saw you were in the middle of a discussion and was afraid to interrupt, so I waited outside," Mo Qingyan shook her head slightly, not minding the wait, "Let's not talk about this; you must be hungry, have your al first!"

Saying that, she handed the food box to Chen Xin.

Chen Xin accepted the food box, feeling slightly touched, and said to Mo Qingyan, "Let's go to my office."

The two went to Chen Xin's office, sat at the desk, and Chen Xin opened the food box. Looking at the steaming food inside, he didn't hold back and started eating directly with the chopsticks.

Seeing Chen Xin eating ravenously, Mo Qingyan couldn't help but laugh, "Slow down, there's no one to steal your food."

"I didn't eat much since the morning, focusing on research matters," Chen Xin replied, taking a few more bites, but suddenly changing his expression and pointing at the water cup beside him, blushing as he yelled to Mo Qingyan, "Water! Water!"

Mo Qingyan quickly picked up the water cup and handed it to him, stepping to his side to gently pat his back, saying with concern, "Slow down!"

"I just choked a bit, it's okay," Chen Xin replied, setting down the water cup, and continued to eat, albeit at a slower pace.

Seeing Chen Xin was alright now, Mo Qingyan sat back down again, noticing the dark circles under his eyes and how he had lost weight. She couldn't help feeling distressed and asked, "Xin, has your work been very hard lately? You've been working overti every day, and your parents are really worried about you!"

"There's no choice, we're at war now! The sooner we conduct our research, the fewer people will be sacrificed on the front lines. There's just no ti to rest!" Chen Xin shook his head helplessly.

In warti, everyone is racing against the clock for the war effort, and he has no justification to relax or rest.

If not for seeing how exhausted everyone was today, Chen Xin wouldn't have suggested they take a break.

But for Mo Qingyan, this was undoubtedly unsatisfactory; she compassionately and displeasingly said, "Even if you work hard, you still have to take care of your health! What if your body breaks down?"

"No, I've got it under control, and being in charge, I can't exactly rest while everyone else is working. What would that look like?" Chen Xin smiled.

In the past, he was adept at slacking off, but having gone through so much now, bearing so much responsibility and influenced by the war, he gradually changed his character and working style, becoming much more serious and responsible.

Faced with Chen Xin's words, Mo Qingyan had nothing further to say. After all, she couldn't rightly suggest Chen Xin rest while others continued to work.

In the end, she could only offer Chen Xin so helpless advice, "You also need to rest well and eat on ti! Look at you, you're looking so thin from fatigue."

"I know! I promise to eat well and rest properly," Chen Xin assured Mo Qingyan and, partly in concern and partly to change the subject, asked, "By the way, I haven't been ho for a long ti; how is everything at ho? Since moving to Do City, you've been handling everything at ho. Lan went to the frontlines, I've got work, and my parents depend on you; it's really been hard on you!"

"It's nothing, it's what I should do." Even though she knew Chen Xin was changing the topic and his promise was likely just to comfort her, Mo Qingyan didn't argue and instead reassured him, "Don't worry, everything at ho is fine. Given your status, there's nothing difficult or to worry about. Uncle and Aunt are in good health, and I don't have much to do; just that they're very worried about you and want you to take good care of yourself."

"Thanks for all your hard work!" Chen Xin, feeling guilty, couldn't help but hold Mo Qingyan's hand.
