Exoskeleton, Power Armor, Electromagnetic Rifle, Titan...
Watching the people of the Fla Country constantly pull out all sorts of impressive sci-fi styled equipnt from their pants, the Lucia people felt like they had been left behind by an entire era.
"Vasily, what do you think the Fla Country people did to create these incredible things? Compared to them, I feel like we’re still stuck in World War II, using the sa Mosin Nagant rifle my grandfather’s generation used!" Chekov complained to his friend, enviously looking at the nearby Titan spewing flas and death.
Vasily looked similarly envious, and it wasn’t just him; in fact, all Lucians were incredibly envious of the Fla Country’s military equipnt.
Before the disaster, the two countries had frequently conducted joint military exercises, so the Lucia military was actually quite familiar with the Fla Country’s military equipnt.
But now, it seed as though after a disaster, the Fla Country people had started equipping themselves with all kinds of sci-fi gear, while the Lucia people were a century behind, as if still stuck in WWII.
Especially since they were facing alien creatures, which made the Lucia people feel like they had stumbled onto the set of so sci-fi blockbuster.
The lower-ranking soldiers were all extrely envious of the Fla Country’s military equipnt, but this envy didn’t lead to any negative effects, because they had also received weapon upgrades from the Fla Country, including exoskeletons and electromagnetic rifles.
Having experienced the satisfaction brought by high-tech weapons, the lower-ranking soldiers did not develop any negative emotions because of this matter.
However, the higher-ranking officers were quite worried, as the Fla Country is Lucia’s neighbor, and now the Fla Country’s military equipnt completely outclassed Lucia’s, causing these officers to worry about their country’s military equipnt falling behind their neighbor.
Although the two countries are allies now and collectively fighting against alien creatures, and the Fla Country has never shown any aggression towards Lucia, this doesn’t make the Lucia officers feel at ease.
After all, national defense issues cannot rely on the benevolence of a powerful neighbor, no matter how benevolent that neighbor may be.
Therefore, after collecting and organizing information on the Fla Country’s current military equipnt deployed on the battlefield, Lucia’s officers sent this information back ho, urging dostic efforts to develop similar equipnt or to seek technical support from the Fla Country to enable dostic production of such advanced equipnt.
The Lucia high command naturally paid great attention to this, and in fact, they realized the problem earlier when the Fla Country sent personnel to aid the Lucia Capital; back then, Fla Country people were already showcasing exoskeletons, power armor, and Titans — these so-called black technological equipnt — to the Lucia people.
However, at the ti, Lucia was on the brink of collapse, and its high command needed to first address various livelihood issues to maintain and sustain the nation, leaving little energy and resources for the developnt of new equipnt.
Especially since Lucia’s own scientific research capability had greatly declined over the years, with many advanced military equipnt requiring what felt like archaeological efforts to retrieve data from archives dating back to the Suyia era in order to resu production, leaving Lucia, once one of the world’s poles, feeling quite ironic.
For this reason, once the livelihoods were restored, Lucia’s high command began to prioritize scientific research, instructing dostic research institutions to enhance national technology.
Without exaggerating to the level of the Fla Country, but at least able to ensure the production and living needs of its own people.
Upon receiving information and requests from the military, Lucia’s high command naturally forwarded these materials and requests to the relevant scientific departnts.
However, regarding these, Lucia’s scientific departnts could only express their helplessness.
Exoskeletons, electromagnetic rifles, power armor, and even Titans; with Lucia’s technological capabilities, they could be made, but energy issues couldn’t be resolved.
Obviously, not every country can have soone as if cheating to help solve problems like the Fla Country does; ordinary scientists seek breakthroughs, but results are not achieved in a short ti.
After receiving feedback from the scientific departnts, the Lucia governnt, although not abandoning the idea of independent research and developnt, had to seek technical cooperation from the Fla Country.
The Fla Country’s high command, while not exactly delighted, did not refuse Lucia’s request for technical cooperation.
After all, in the current environnt, having an ally to cooperate and assist each other is far better than facing all problems alone or worse, creating an additional enemy.
Just as Lucia received approval from the Fla Country and prepared to form scientific teams for technical exchange, Chen Xin, one of the key figures in this, couldn’t find the ti to take charge of this matter.
He was, at that mont, studying the irregular pause in alien attack patterns during a previous nuclear explosion with the biologists.
"I think we should draw inspiration from electromagnetic interference. Since we’ve now determined that aliens communicate via electromagnetic waves, we can use this as a breakthrough to deploy electromagnetic interference equipnt to disrupt their communication, thereby affecting their command," a biologist proposed based on their existing research findings.
Chen Xin, after listening to the biologist, did not object.
Considering all current information and clues at hand, Chen Xin also believed that the interruption in alien attack previously was largely due to the EMP shockwave from the nuclear explosion affecting their communication pathways, disrupting their command.
"But we’ve experinted, and electromagnetic pulses don’t have any effect on the aliens!" another biologist raised an objection at this point.
A key impact of nuclear explosions is the EMP shockwave; they clearly won’t overlook such obvious information, especially since when aliens were first dissected, it was confird they communicated via electromagnetic signals, making them all the more likely to think of this possibility first.
However, strangely, multiple experints had been conducted, both using living alien samples imprisoned in labs and direct battlefield trials, none had influenced the aliens.
For this reason, the biologists abandoned this line of thought, turning to other possibilities.
Yet, after trying nurous experints round and round, they had to refocus on the idea of electromagnetic interference.
Because all other attempts had failed, among all possibilities, electromagnetic interference held the greatest potential.
