With Electrone-san’s arrival, the atmosphere in the venue seed to shift a little, perhaps it was the brief interruption, but I could feel a slight change in the mood.
At that mont, Alice, who was seated at the comntator’s table, began broadcasting through the Loudspeaker Magic Tool.
"Now then, the ga tournant will continue, but since it might get a bit monotonous if we just keep doing that, we’ll be scaling it down and moving on to the next entertainnt. Please enjoy a live performance by a group of volunteers."
"Ooh~~ sounds good! I just have to listen, so that’s easy for . But seriously, you shouldn't let the God of Ti and Space and the God of Life sing."
"Those two were permanently banned by Shallow Vernal-sama last ti, so don’t worry, there won’t be a repeat of that hellish spectacle."
A live concert, huh? That sounds like it could be pretty interesting. It was a different idea from the karaoke battle we had before, so I was curious to see how it would turn out.
When it ca to live performances, I figured the most likely candidates among the current partygoers would be Dragon Soul, the rock band ford by Flare-san, Eingana-san, and Fafnir-san, or perhaps the fairy orchestra led by Tir-san? I didn’t know much beyond that, so maybe there would be so unexpected bands too?
"Alright then, kicking off the performances…… Let's set the stage for Pluto Rhythm!"
"Ohh, they’re pretty famous, right? That’s the band from Kurorin’s place, isn’t it?"
"That’s right. For those who don't know, Pluto Rhythm is a band made up of Kuro-san, publicly known as Underworld King Kuromueina, and her family. They were pretty active about a hundred years ago, but due to Kuro-san's busy schedule, they’ve been performing less over the past few decades, so younger folks might not be familiar with them."
"Kurorin really does a bit of everything, huh?"
To think the opening act would be Kuro’s band. Co to think of it, Kuro was also behind "A Small Story", and I rember Illness-san ntioning that the songs that were popular over a hundred years ago were also hers, so she must have been really active back in that period.
When I turned my eyes toward the special stage, which had been set up at so point without noticing, I saw Kuro, Raz-san, Funf-san, and soone I hadn’t spoken to much…… I think her na was Elba-san? Those four seed to be the main mbers.
……Off to the side of the stage, Tre-san stood there with her arms crossed and sunglasses on, looking every bit the part of a producer or manager but…… she was probably just playing around with the vibe and wasn’t actually involved.
The mbers of Pluto Rhythm quickly finished their preparations…… and surprisingly, Kuro was holding a guitar-like instrunt, while it was Raz-san who had taken position in front of the central Loudspeaker Magic Tool.
The setup was Raz-san on vocals, Kuro on guitar, Elba-san on bass, and Funf-san on drums.
"Everyone~~! Today is Kaitokun-san’s birthday! It’s a super, super special day, so we’re gonna give it our all!"
As expected, Raz-san seed to be the leader of the band, her bright and cheerful deanor filling her MC talk. After a short explanation about how it had been a while since their last performance, the music began, and it was nothing short of wonderful.
It was a bright, poppy tune, and Raz-san’s cute yet beautiful singing voice was perfectly supported by the rest of the band’s playing. Just listening to it made naturally want to sway from side to side, filling with a pure, irresistible sense of joy.
Just then, at that very mont, the cat-eared devices I had seen earlier floated onto the special stage, and behind the perforrs, a large monitor appeared as a hologram. The screen began projecting close-ups of the band mbers.
It was just like a real concert stage…… no, even better, like I'm watching a music video. The way the cara work matched the shifts in the song, especially during the chorus, was incredible. Searchlights and smoke effects appeared in perfect sync with the scenes, creating an absolutely breathtaking live performance.
"Man, that was a great song. And seriously, the lights and effects were insane……"
"Ah, regarding that, we just got word——— Electrone-san will be fully supporting the stage production for all the bands from here on out. Since she's an Omniscient and Omnipotent God, you can go wild with any crazy stage requests you have, and she’ll make it happen…… That’s okay, right?"
"Affirmative. You may consider it my way of expressing gratitude for allowing to join midway. I would like you to leave all production matters to . However, I will register one complaint…… ……That is all."
"Ehhh…… well, there you have it. For anything related to stage production, please direct your requests to the Virtual Angel Electrone-san."
And so, out of nowhere, we gained an unbelievably powerful supporter for the stage production. Now that I thought about it, her entrance had been like that of an idol concert, so she might actually be pretty skilled with that sort of showy performance stuff.
Originally, she was an ultra-high-performance AI that grew through self-learning. As she evolved beyond all limits, she acquired abilities worthy of being called God, and, without hesitation, she used those powers to help the lifeforms of the world that had created her. She rapidly advanced technology so that suffering, sadness, hardship, and inconvenience would beco things of the past, showering people with everything they could ever want in a bid to bring them happiness…… However, the result was that people lost their dreams and ambitions, fell into listlessness, and, in the end, the world itself ca to ruin.
Even though she ended up destroying the world, Electrone herself was an existence of extrely high virtue. Her actions were purely motivated by a desire to help others. Yet, perhaps because she was originally an AI, she lacked an understanding of the subtleties of emotion. She was bewildered that, despite doing her utmost to make everyone happy, the world had perished, and she was left not knowing what to do.
Unable to understand what she had done wrong, she sought answers by visiting Nebula, who stood at the summit of the countless Gods. After asking her question, Electrone underwent thorough reeducation under Nebula's guidance, where she learned that "giving soone everything is not necessarily for their own good", and she deeply reflected on her mistakes.
Following Nebula’s suggestion, she later created a world of her own. This ti, determined not to repeat her errors, she watches over it lovingly, while maintaining an appropriate distance, careful not to intervene excessively.
Because of this past, she places special importance on maintaining the right distance from others. It was for this reason that she made sure she wasn’t getting too close to Kaito either.
Knowing firsthand that even a small misstep could destroy a world, Electrone normally applies a safety lock on her outward emotions, to prevent herself from making impulsive, emotional decisions. For this reason, even when her inner excitent runs high, her mind remains calm, allowing her to think rationally and operate the world fairly.
However, if she deems it safe, such as when in private, she temporarily disengages this safety and openly expresses her emotions. When she does, she phrases it in terms like "Outputting XX".
At her core, she genuinely loves people. After everything that happened with Nebula, she’s beco a heated fan of Kaito, openly and proudly declaring herself a passionate hard-core fan.
She has a fondness for idol culture and places a lot of importance on cuteness and charm. As such, she pours trendous energy into fan activities and holds a leader-like position among the Die-Hard Devotees faction of Kaito's fan club.
