Upon seeing this, Han Jingnian’s fingertip clenched the yogurt in his hand as though his heart were being grabbed tightly by sothing, causing him a tugging pain.
Han Jingnian stood by the bed, holding the yogurt out for a while, staring at Xia Wan’an. He then gently bent down, pulling the blanket up to cover her exposed shoulders.
As he got up, his gaze once again fell on her sleeping face. Even after crying, her features were still charming. He stared at her for a while before he regained his senses. He was not sure when his fingertips unknowingly grazed the corner of her eye, gently wiping away her tears.
The cool dampness of his fingertips seed to carry a burning warmth, spreading all the way to his chest, causing his heart to ache slightly.
He moistened his lips, swallowing, then gently placed the yogurt on her pillow before rising to leave.
Before he could turn around, a light suddenly lit up in the corner of his eye. He turned to see it was her phone charging on her bedside table—it had received a new ssage.
He did not intend to pry into her ssages, but as he glanced, he saw his na on the screen: "Brother Jingnian..."
He faintly furrowed his brows, reaching out to touch the screen, reading the ssage thoroughly.
"There are only nine hours left until noon. Have you made up your mind? Will you leave Brother Jingnian of your own accord, or should I go find Brother Jingnian instead?"
After reading the ssage, Han Jingnian’s forehead furrowed more intensely.
A hint of displeasure and anger, that even he didn’t notice, crept into his eyes.
He glanced at the phone number—it was unfamiliar, but he committed the eleven-digit number to mory regardless.
Just as Han Jingnian was about to look away after reading the ssage, another one popped up on the screen, sent from the sa number: "I don’t know whether you’re pretending to sleeping or have genuinely fallen asleep. I hope you don’t test my patience. Brother Jingnian can only be mine, and he will only ever be mine!"
Han Jingnian: "..."
After a mont, he picked up Xia Wan’an’s phone, keyed in a few buttons to access the phone’s backend, quickly cracked Xia Wan’an’s lock screen password, and opened her ssages.
He imdiately noticed the number in the ssage column. When he clicked in, the first things he saw were three photos.
Each one depicted Xia Wan’an and an unknown man watching a movie, seemingly kissing, and leaving the cinema...
He didn’t betray any emotion as he lightly touched the screen to enlarge the pictures. In less than a second, he saw the hidden details of the photos.
Weren’t these all photoshopped images?
The PS skills were slightly superior and could easily deceive a casual observer. However, for soone with his technical proficiency, they were utterly useless.
