After exiting the photo, Han Jingnian went through the leftover unread text ssages one by one, then pondered while staring at his cell phone screen for a while, then put his cell phone back in its original place and left the master bedroom.

...

The next day was Monday, and Han Jingnian had his usual morning eting. Just past six o’clock, he had already gotten up and gone downstairs for a morning run.

After he ca back, he took a shower, got dressed, and went to the master bedroom. Seeing that Xia Wan’an was still asleep, he quietly closed the door and left for work.

As soon as Han Jingnian got into the car, Zhang Te, his assistant, imdiately noticed that the boss he hadn’t seen in two days seed a bit unusual.

It was neither like he was in a bad mood, nor was he preoccupied with sothing...

In short, Zhang Te covertly observed Han Jingnian all the way and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him.

By the ti they got to the office, there were still twenty minutes before the morning eting. Zhang Te made a cup of coffee for Han Jingnian. When he brought it into the office, he saw that Han Jingnian, who would normally get busy with work as soon as he entered the office, was actually idling away his ti looking at a potted plant.

Caught by surprise, Zhang Te put down his coffee and decided to stay.

After a full five minutes, Zhang Te realized that Han Jingnian’s eyes hadn’t moved away from the plant once.

By his estimation, there must be so juicy gossip!

His eyes lit up, and he couldn’t help but start prying, "President Han, have you run into any problems? Do you need to help solve them?"

Han Jingnian gave Zhang Te a skeptical look.

Zhang Te cheerfully walked up and handed the coffee to Han Jingnian, "President Han, even though I’m not sure if I can definitely help you, maybe I can. As the saying goes, ’Better safe than sorry!’"

It seed that Han Jingnian was moved by Zhang Te’s words. He took a mont to think, then took the coffee cup and after a sip, he said, "She was crying."

Zhang Te was taken aback, "What?"

Han Jingnian glanced at the hand he had used to wipe her tears the night before and repeated his earlier statent, "Yesterday evening, she cried."

Zhang Te couldn’t tell whether his eyes were playing tricks on him, but he thought he’d spotted a trace of loneliness and regret in Han Jingnian’s handso and delicate face when he said those words.

Zhang Te was stunned for two seconds, then understood what Han Jingnian ant, "Was it the lady? How could the lady have cried? President Han, did you fight with the lady?"

Han Jingnian shook his head, "No."

After a mont of silence, he briefly outlined last night’s events to Zhang Te, "Soone sent her a ssage of her photoshopped photos with another man, asking her to leave on her own accord. When she got ho, she wanted to sleep in the guest room..."

Han Jingnian paused when he got to this point, glossing over the part about what had happened between him and Xia Wan’an, "...and then she cried."

Upon hearing the whole story, Zhang Te didn’t hesitate to speak, "President Han, the lady was bullied to tears!"

Bullied? Han Jingnian furrowed his eyebrows and didn’t say anything.

"Think about it, the lady was unjustly accused by soone who photoshopped her pictures. Such injustice! And that person even threatened the lady to leave you, how outrageous and overbearing! The lady has unspeakable grievances, it’s like a snowstorm in June, she could be the protagonist in a tragic story, no wonder she cried!"

Upon hearing this, Han Jingnian’s gaze suddenly turned cold, "Look up who owns this phone number."
