“It should be the famous mirror from legends, the Yata no Kagami.”

When an extra bronze mirror appeared in the hands of Amaterasu who was fighting Typhon outside Los Angeles, many governnt officials were asking about it.
Although these top governnt officials held power, it did not necessarily an that everyone knew about the history and mythology of the world. Perhaps so of them might know about it, but the rest did not even know that there was such a thing.
“Is the Yata no Kagami sothing like a weapon of god?”
In the Pentagon, the President of the United States of Arica asked a mythology expert beside him.
“Yes, Mr. President. The Yata no Kagami is like the divine spear held by Odin in Norse mythology or the hamr used by Thor. It is one of the famous sacred treasures in Japan mythology.”
“Legend has it that after Amaterasu Omikami was outraged by his brother Susano-o, she hid inside the Ama-no-Iwato, which hid the light and warmth of the sun from the world. In order to lure her out, the deity of mirrors, Ishikori-do, created the Yata no Kagami which was hung outside the cave to trick Amaterasu Omikami out of the cave and the other gods managed to convince her to return to heaven. Amaterasu eventually gave the mirror to her grandson Ninigi-no-Mikoto when he was sent to pacify Japan.”
“This mythology story is less about showing the importance of the mirror and more about proving that Amaterasu is the sun god. Because she hid inside Ama-no-Iwato, heaven and earth were plunged into darkness.”
After listening to so explanations from the experts and scholars, the President of the United States nodded and stared at the screen in front of him, “This is the first ti we have seen a weapon used by the gods, record it properly.”
The nearby observer responded. The others also looked at each other and thought that this was really the first ti they saw a god use weapons.
Christ did not use any weapons. The incarnation of Emperor Taiyi only used his palm to destroy the asteroid. As for the Celtic God who appeared in Buckingham Palace, he used a lance, but compared to the supre gods, the Tuatha De Danan seem inadequate to be called a real god, so the weapon was less likely to be so kind of divine weapon.
But now, for the first ti, Amaterasu had brought out her weapon. Although Amaterasu seed to be no match for Christ and God Taiyi in terms of rank, she was still a god who occupied an extrely important position in Japanese culture like Zeus in Greek mythology.
“Is this mirror… taken out by Amaterasu herself, or does it exist on Earth?”

The Yata no Kagami looked very rough and at a glance looked very old. It seed to be made in an era when crafting technology was not yet very great. It did not look like a weapon that was more exquisite the older it was but rather a weapon that looked weaker the older it was.
“We just asked the Japanese side. They said that the mirror is the one that had been enshrined in the Ise Grand Shrine in Japan.”
A diplomat answered the president’s question.
“In other words, there exist divine weapons in Japan? Besides this mirror, are there any weapons left behind by the gods in Japan? Can we try to get our hands on them?”

There were indeed two more sacred treasures in Japan that were as equally famous as the mirror, but since the Japanese side knew that the divine weapon in their hands was the ‘real’ thing, they would definitely closely guard it and prevent others from stealing them.

After Amaterasu Omikami took out the mirror, she did not throw the mirror or aim it at Typhon, but instead at herself.
Suddenly, with Amaterasu as the center, the sunlight within a radius of a hundred kiloters disappeared. It was as if the myth of Ama-no-Iwato was being reenacted. When Amaterasu hid inside the cave, heaven and earth fell into darkness.

What’s more, with Amaterasu as the goddess of the sun, the people were more or less prepared for her actions.
When Amaterasu used the mirror to reflect upon herself, the faint glow from her body dimd and seed to disappear.
The people of Los Angeles were in turmoil again. Just now, it was a bright sunny noon, but who could have imagined that it would turn from day to night in the blink of an eye?
Typhon seed to know that Amaterasu was going to make a big move. It roared at the dark night sky. Because of the loss of sunlight, the temperature seed to have decreased to ice-cold levels. Even the lava summoned by Typhon was cooled and turned into volcanic rock.
As a result, the residents of Los Angeles were sohow saved from the sea of lava that could have drowned the city.
“Co, foreign god, let see how your sun compares to Apollo and how it compares to Zeus’ thunder!”
Typhon shouted loudly, but no matter how stupid it seed, it was actually quite cunning. After seeing that Amaterasu was using all of her powers, it actually started to prepare to escape.

The mythologists of each country explained to their leaders the mythological basis of the power displayed by Amaterasu. On the other hand, Typhon who had been bound was finally unable to escape. With Amaterasu’s disappearing hand, she turned the mirror and pointed it at Typhon.
Then, all the sunlight absorbed by the mirror was released against Typhon.
