Chapter 460: Encounter Between God and Demon
“Foreign God, die!”
Typhon roared in anger. The lava around it boiled, spurting into the air and congealing into a titanic whip that the monster brandished.
With a twirl the whip sliced the peak off of a nearby mountain, leaving a smooth angular cross-section that emitted white smoke.
RUMBLE—
The cut-off part began to slide down the mountainside and turned into a terrifying landslide that was falling toward Los Angeles, causing panic to reignite.
“Just its destructive power alone is sothing modern humanity cannot match. Without supernatural beings, we’re finished!”

The top brass of many countries watching the scene with satellites nervously sucked in deep breaths when they saw it.
Nuclear weapons might seem terrifying, but in fact, there was a limit to their damage. They could, to a limited extent, be controlled and accounted for. And their ability to damage imnse natural landscapes like mountains was limited.
But this?
Typhon was different. It cut through a mountain like a person cutting vegetables. There seed to not be any resistance at all. Moreover, with how resistant Typhon was against human weapons, it would be able to destroy human civilization given enough ti.
Supernatural powers were much more terrifying than humans imagined.
“Although Typhon is very powerful in Greek mythology and is not an opponent that the twelve main gods of Olympus can handle, there is definitely still existence above this monster. If there is a stronger version of this monster, how are we humans supposed to resist?”
“This ti, the supre god of China had saved the world by destroying the teorite. Now, Japan has summoned their supre god to block Typhon. If there is another monster that appears next ti and supernatural powers are absent to stop it, what can we even do?”
“It seems that humanity will have to change their views about these supernatural powers.”

A battle that could only be found in myths and legends was now taking place in Los Angeles while the leaders of the nations were having a eting in private.
In the past, the leaders of the countries have been maintaining power in the face of the supernatural. They were even respectful to them because the supernatural powers did dabble in governntal affairs.
But from the current situation, it was clear that if one day the human race was facing the threat of invading monsters, then there was nothing that the human governnts could do. They could only try and stall for ti and say prayers.
“Our Earth seems like it’s turning into a battlefield for these gods and demons.”
One head of state could not help but say this, causing the heads of other nations to resonate.
That’s right. Earth was not akin to a battlefield for these monsters. Ever since the initial sighting of the dragon in the Amazon jungle, all kinds of strange creatures and monsters began to spring up. However, the casualties and damages so far were far from threatening human civilization, and every ti a divine being would always co to the rescue.
But who was to say if there was an end to this kind of luck? If humanity lost its lucky streak soday, nothing would be able to save it from extinction.
From the attitude of the gods, they seed to be indifferent to humans. The universe was so vast, so there was likely a different alien civilization that believed in them.
While the governnts were in despair about the future of mankind, the battle between Amaterasu Omikami and Typhon had entered a fevered pitch.
This is the first ti that mankind had seen this kind of battle that was only found in myths. The previous battles that had been perford by Louie were resolved in the blink of an eye, far from the fierce fights of the present.
Whether it was Amaterasu or Typhon, any of them could completely destroy a city. Between light and volcanic eruption, the terrain outside of Los Angeles was almost turned into a flat plain.
This battle between god and demon was extrely fantastical. The two did not even have any physical contact or weapon clash. Just confrontation alone caused natural disasters and material collapse in their surroundings.
Typhon’s fighting style was at least within human understanding. It sotis spewed flas from the snakeheads, sotis sent out a wave of lava, and sotis whipped the earth and mountains, but Amaterasu’s fighting style was completely incomprehensible. It only stood on the spot and emitted light. Those particles of light seed to be able to lt everything.
Both Typhon and Amaterasu were only avatars. Their destruction easily destroyed a modern city. If they let their bodies descend, it was likely that even the stars would be destroyed.
Countless people thought of this.
“Typhon is so strong to be able to fight with the Japanese supre god for so long.”

“The powers of these powerful gods and demons seem to be more conceptual. Another way to describe it is sothing from a fantasy.”

Scientists of human countries who had been observing and studying the battle felt their scalps go numb at the destruction these two beings caused. If humans were willing to pour ammunition without reservation, they would be able to cause the sa level of destruction.
They were horrified at this fighting style that was beyond the current human understanding of science. Scientists could see the scene after the destruction but could not analyze the cause.
The power that Amaterasu and Typhon were using was simply unknown.
“Enough, I’m tired of fighting like this. Titanic demon…”
With Amaterasu’s figure becoming more illusory, anyone could tell that this incarnation of a Shinto God’s power was weakening.
After realizing that she would not be able to defeat this powerful demon in her state, she seed to have made a decision. In the next instant, the world-famous Yata no Kagami appeared close to her chest.
