280 A Shocking Gift
The Lian family already knew that Lian ng was coming back. They had been busy since noon. The fragrance coming from the kitchen made one’s stomach growl.
The mont Lian ng entered, she jumped into Old Master Lian’s arms and burrowed into his chest affectionately. “Grandpa, I’ve missed you you so much. This ti, I won’t leave Grandpa again!”

Lian ng smiled and held Old Master Lian’s arm. “Grandpa, did you hear that? Sister-in-law is praising for being capable!”
“Your sister-in-law dotes on you.” Old Master Lian could tell that Shen Yin liked Lian ng.
He had never worried about this problem. In his eyes, these were two good children. They were not like other sisters-in-law who were jealous of each other. They would dote on each other.
Glancing at the gift box Shen Yin placed on the coffee table, Old Master Lian asked with a smile, “Who gave this to Yin Yin?”
“Grandpa, it’s from !” Lian ng raised her hand obediently like a primary school student who had volunteered to answer a teacher’s question in class. She was so cute.
Shen Yin nodded and said, “ng ng said that this is her birthday present for . I like it very much.”
Lian ng widened her eyes in surprise. “Sister-in-law, you haven’t opened it yet. How do you know that you’ll like it? What if it’s not sothing you like?”
Shen Yin could not help but laugh as she looked at her mischievous appearance. She said helplessly, “I’ll like whatever you give . It’s your thought that counts.”
“Sister-in-law is the best!” Lian ng smiled sweetly and scurried to Shen Yin’s side. She pushed her shoulder and urged her, “Then quickly open it and see if it suits your taste.”
“Okay.” Shen Yin was also very curious about what Lian ng would give her. It was quite heavy.
She carefully opened the box, but she was caught off guard by the Guanyin statue made of pure jade. It was as long as two hands’ length.

Shen Yin carefully looked at Lian ng’s expression. She really could not bear to let her down, but she was really a little afraid to put such a thing on the bedside table.
She did not believe in such things, but she could not guarantee that Lian Jing would not have any strange thoughts after seeing this. If he continued with his rciless ways, he would probably break her back.
Lian ng did not know how far Shen Yin’s thoughts had traveled. She continued to explain to her smugly, “Sister-in-law, you and my brother only have one child, Nian Nian. Lian Jing glanced at her coldly. He suddenly put down his teacup and reached out to grab Shen Yin, who was trying to sneak away. He looked up and stared at her with a faint smile. “Where are you going?”
“I, I rembered that I haven’t seen Nian Nian for so long. I want to take a look at him first!” Shen Yin casually lied. Actually, she did not want to face the child-giving Guanyin. She could not wait for them to forget about this matter so that she could secretly get rid of this thing!
Old Master Lian comforted her with a loving expression. “Yin Yin, sit down. The butler brought Nian Nian to buy exercise books. He should be back soon. You don’t have to worry. I think ng ng’s gift is quite nice. Do you and Lian Jing want to…”
