Siderius reached the docks and soon he found a warehouse with a lot of people in it. It was the dock shipnt in Thane’s mory. Here, Siderius could find out more about the Shadow Blade.
This place was called the House of Ale. Originally, it was the place to accept and deliver ale shipnts. However, after a while, it beca available to all types of goods.
Siderius intended to find the handler in Thane’s mory and started from there. But he found sothing even better.
A particular man amongst the workers of the docks. A tall slender man with a very familiar pair of eyes.
Siderius approached the group of workers.
"What do you want?" A worker said.
Siderius didn’t pay him no mind. Instead, he focused on his target.
The hunter tilted his head slightly and stared at the hand of the man. There was a scar on it. A scar because of a knife.
That was all he needed to know.
"What? Do you like n or sothing? Why stare at like that?" The tall man said.
Siderius smirked. "Haven’t seen you for a while."
"You know ?"
"Of course. Let refresh your mory for a bit.
We last t... In Mucktown. That place is called Rivertown now. You ran away from thanks to a smoke bomb and then you jumped into the river to escape.
Rember that?"
Silence took over the atmosphere. All the workers slowly backed away. They knew that sothing was about to go down.
The assassin looked at Siderius. He couldn’t believe in his eyes. The kid that day was taller, bigger, and wearing a full suit of armor.
"How did you know it was ?" The assassin said.
"You didn’t cover your eyes back then. And that scar on your hand is unmistakable." Siderius said.
The assassin clenched his right hand. It was shaking and still hadn’t entirely recovered.
"You are wrong to co here, Snow. You will die here."
"I won’t be so sure about that... ASSASSIN!"
"You know. I am not the one who killed your mother. I was only tasked with killing Amy."
"I thought the sa. But don’t worry, you still have uses for . With you, I will be able to trace the Shadow Blade."
The assassin’s pupils dilated. "You know much more than I give you credit for. But this is the end.
Get him!"
All the ’ordinary workers’ ran away while the undercover workers took out serrated knives and charged at Siderius.
It was the sa style of dagger that Siderius took from the assassin long ago.
Siderius simply smiled and grabbed his sword. "You won’t be able to escape this ti. Assassin..."
Siderius flipped the fireswitch over. He spun and pulled out his sword at the sa ti. A fan of orange fla painted the air.
All the other workers were pushed back with one move. The assassin turned his back and ran away.
Once again, he felt the power of . However, it was more than simple dizziness like a few months ago. This ti the sensation felt like the sky and earth were flipped over. His stomach churned as he vomited out everything inside.
Siderius grabbed his head from behind and placed the burning blade on his shoulder. The heat burned through his clothes and into his skin.
The assassin scread out in pain.
"ARGHHHHHHH!"
"Shush." Siderius lifted the blade up. "Tell what I need to know and I shall show you rcy."
"You... You have awakened, wicca?"
Siderius’ smile widened. "Is this a yes or..."
He placed the blade down, letting the fla burn into the assassin again.
"I talk! I talk! Please stop!"
"Wise. What is your na, assassin?"
"Ted. Teddy! People call Teddy!"
"Where is your handler, Teddy?"
The assassin bit down on his lips as he shook his head repeatedly.
Siderius raised an eyebrow. "You wish for death?"
"Kill then! I can’t tell you about our handler! If I tell you, they will hurt my family!"
"Oh? Very honorable. But I don’t think that is your choice anymore."
Suddenly, more n rushed to the House of Ale. These weren’t workers of the docks as their clothes were mixed. But they all held the serrated daggers similar to the assassin. They were all from the sa organization.
Siderius knocked Teddy out cold with the poml.
Then he ca face to face with the horde of questionable assassins. These people didn’t seem like trained assassins in his eyes.
They looked more like ordinary people that knew how to fight.
This trait alone told Siderius more about the nature of this organization.
"A type of rcenary, huh... It is fitting." Siderius mumbled.
"You will die here!"
An assassin rushed forward. Siderius stood still. When the assassin was within range, Siderius thrust the sword forward.
These assassins looked ordinary but they had skills. This assassin stepped aside and easily dodged Siderius’ blow. He tried to close the distance but Siderius already redirected the sword to him.
The assassin dodged again. He extended the distance when he learned that Siderius was no easy target.
"Attack him together, boys!" The assassin yelled.
"Aye!" They answered.
"Hmmm. I really can’t underestimate normal people. Your skill is actually respectable. I can kill you all with my sword.
But I don’t have ti for the dance."
Siderius sheathed his sword. He grabbed a clayball in his utility belt.
It was one of the two new projectiles that he had made. This one was called the Odor Bomb.
He didn’t use a sling this ti and simply threw the bomb at the assassins. The impact alone was enough to shatter the compartnts inside, igniting the black powder.
A cloud of green smoke filled the air. The assassins imdiately reacted in disgust. A few of them even vomited. They all scattered away from the location.
The sll was so vile that so of them couldn’t even breathe.
When the cloud dissipated, Siderius disappeared along with Teddy.
"Shit!" An assassin shouted and threw his knife to the ground.
"Who is he?! How dare he co to the House of Ale?! Doesn’t he know it is under our protection?"
"Is he a witch? That flaming blade is not ordinary."
"Shut the hell up! Clean this place up. I will contact the handler.
Rember, not a word to anyone about this until I co back!"
