"Supre Demons do not reside in the Mortal Realm, they dwell in Hell."
Zheng Yichen gazed upon the Gate of Hell and asked, "Does this world have a Heaven?"
If there’s a Hell, the absence of sothing like Heaven seems slightly imbalanced, doesn’t it?
"No... I guess?" replied Wei Xue, the most learned among them, uncertainly, mainly because it was Zheng Yichen who had posed the question. If it were anyone else, he would have confidently asserted there was none. He continued, "However, there are indeed places within the Mortal Realm known as blessed lands and paradises that are quite mystical. These places can be regarded as Mortal Fairy Realms where so, once they enter and dwell for a long ti, no longer need the sustenance of the Mortal Realm and can achieve longevity, advancing rapidly in their spellcasting and such."
"Referring to those places as Heaven might be a bit of a stretch, but it is fair to deem them Mortal Fairy Realms," Wei Xue said, shaking his head with a hint of regret. "It’s just that such places are exceedingly difficult to find. The records in ancient texts are few and far between. I’ve investigated related information and found that these records might have been deliberately erased by soone."
"Hmph, if it was done by humans, then those people are rotten to the core," Liu Hongzhao said coldly. If such places really existed, then the people there must be rather formidable, right? But after the Demon Flower disaster occurred, there seed to be no actions taken by those people.
At first, she might not have known, but now that the calamity of the Demon Flower had ended and she had frequently traveled through the desolated land, gathering much information, there seed to be nothing worth paying special attention to.
"Ahem, it may also be due to certain limitations," suggested Wei Xue, clearing his throat. "As far as I know, most of those mystical places only manifest their peculiarities within a certain environnt, and might disappear or weaken once outside of it."
"Regardless, let’s not allow to find those places in the future—"
"Um..." Wei Xue’s eye twitched, wisely choosing not to continue that line of conversation. While others might be joking, Liu Hongzhao wouldn’t be. "Daughter of Heaven’s Mandate" seeking Mortal Fairy Realms—could she possibly find them? For others, the search would be incredibly challenging, but for one who shouldered Heaven’s Mandate, the likelihood was significant.
He too desired to witness such places and record them, rather than to have them ntioned only briefly in the ancient tos.
Hopefully, the people of those realms had not been affected by the disaster of the Demon Flower, for if Liu Hongzhao did find them, she would be able to ’interact’ properly with the inhabitants
"We’ll talk about that later. The main concern now is how to descend into Hell," Zheng Yichen said, taking out his fishing rod.
Such talk was ominous. Diviner Yui Anhe glanced at the Gate of Hell and said, "I know of so Ancient Seals that are connected to Hell, through which one might pass safely."
The Gate of Hell in the Land of Calamities? To attempt passage would be a path of certain death.
"What if it were opened?" Zheng Yichen inquired, hence Diviners surely know much.
Yi Nan said, "Considering they are Ancient Seals, it implies that most thods of restoration have been lost. Once opened, it would be difficult to reseal them; these places were once the sources of chaotic disasters with the dead."
"Then let’s forget it. I don’t wish to bear such sin. We can try passing through the Gate of Hell instead," Zheng Yichen said, eyeing the trace of Hellfire emanating from the Gate of Hell. From a distance, he pondered that if a sufficiently large cauldron were placed here, this place could be used as a natural gas stove.
"This—if we’re going to confront a Supre Demon, so expenses should probably be avoided," advised Diviner Huan Zhen. "Moreover, unveiling a seal is a task for us Diviners."
Zheng Yichen shook his head, "Why bother with such trouble? The fire was set by in the beginning; now I can try to extinguish these flas..."
"Absolutely not!" Diviner Yi Nan interrupted urgently. The Gate of Hell is stable now precisely because of the overlay of Hellfire. Without that coverage of flas, the forbidden area would cease to be forbidden, allowing humans to enter Hell at their own peril while the dead could freely co and go in the Mortal Realm."
```
The undead do not face the problem of being unable to move in the Mortal Realm, the most they face in Hell is an indefinite existence. In the Mortal Realm, they will beco like humans with a ’lifespan,’ gradually weakening over ti and eventually turning into a pile of real dry bones, a second death ans complete annihilation.
However, if those undead are in places with rich death energy, they will not suffer this kind of consumption, and even normal consumption can be replenished in other ways, such as, for instance, the simplest thod—slaughter... And even without creating slaughter, their existence far exceeds the lifespan of humans!
When humans enter Hell, they are corroded by the breath of Hell, gradually weakening until death. There is a big difference between humans and the undead, but in the eyes of Diviners, there is also a corresponding balance.
The restrictions on the undead in the Mortal Realm aren’t significant, but the problem is, if an undead is killed in the Mortal Realm, they completely vanish without a trace, and the world will no longer hold any sign of them. Whereas humans, although they die, still have souls afterward, becoming new undead.
Undead can only die once, humans can die twice. If one enters Hell and dies there, it’s essentially the sa as a job change on the spot. So, when it cos to differences, one can only say each has its characteristics.
The problem is that the undead accumulate continuously in Hell, and there are many Supre Demon servants in Hell, most of whom lack intelligence—escaping might even be accidental, so without a ruler, they don’t impact the Mortal Realm as much.
If a Supre Demon servant escapes, the impact on the Mortal Realm would be significant.
"The Gate of Hell is the largest passage to Hell discovered so far. If those flas did not exist, the consequences would only be more severe... Huh?" Yi Nan paused while speaking, turning to look at Zheng Yichen swinging his fishing rod and pulling out a black ring, falling silent.
After a mont, Huan Zhen was the first to speak up, "May I ask, since there is such a thod, why do you still think about going through the Gate of Hell?"
The black ring that Zheng Yichen pulled out was emanating dense breath of Hell, this item linked directly to Hell, allowing one to enter Hell instantly!
"Mainly because there are plenty of flas on that side, after burning for so long, I can try to reclaim them, and then I may try to instantly kill a Supre Demon," Zheng Yichen stated the true reason.
Although he hadn’t found the storage materials he was waiting for upon arriving here, if he could now use the Hellfire here to cover and control the wild Hellfire, he could then try to gather and compress the Hellfire, forcibly storing it with external force to be unleashed when needed.
"...Could that work?" The Diviners were sowhat enticed by Zheng Yichen’s words. If so, it was worth a try, as long as he replenished the Hellfire that disappeared at the Gate of Hell later on. In a way, this ever-burning Hellfire was more powerful than so Ancient Seals.
Ancient Seals co with their counterattacks, able to make violators suffer and die, but after all, that’s just a seal, while Hellfire is all about burning incessantly, making breaking seals pointless here.
"It should be possible, but since you ntioned it, let’s forget this thod. The Hellfire here was left after igniting the Demon Flower," he said.
At this, the Diviners understood what was going on. If Zheng Yichen drained the fire here, it might not be possible to reignite the Hellfire afterwards, and it could create a multitude of problems. Better to keep it as it is.
"I can now enter Hell, what about you?" Zheng Yichen, having given up on taking shortcuts, adjusted his mindset. Since there was no quick way to kill Supre Demons, he would go about it the regular way. Simply put, as ti went on, the likelihood of him being taken by Dusk increased.
If he could speed-kill a few Supre Demons first, then their influence wouldn’t be as strong when he left.
"That’s no problem." Diviner Yi Nan said very decisively, "Humans inevitably erode in the death energy of Hell, but the ancients have long researched ways to avoid it."
Zheng Yichen looked at the thod they were using with a strange expression, so your thod is... to use sothing that looks like it’s ant for jabbing voodoo dolls?
