So researchers hadn’t even had ti to change their clothes, which were stained with blood.
"Where is the protective suit?"
The researcher, with a rigid expression, pointed in a direction.
"Thank you."
After Zheng Yichen left, the researcher breathed a long sigh of relief and hurried away.
In another area, Chang Wenhua went over to the crying Qiao Ying. This place was where corpses were stored. The fortress commander’s body had been found, dead from a fire explosion. One couldn’t make out his original appearance at all; his identity was confird only after DNA comparison.
"Captain, if we hadn’t stopped him then, would this have not happened?"
"What nonsense are you talking about? Our mission is to defend the fortress!" Chang Wenhua frowned, "Even if the intentions were good, the fact is they invaded the Eye of Ti and Space Fortress. The necessary investigations will still follow!"
Looking at Qiao Ying with red-rimd eyes, Chang Wenhua sighed, "We can’t predict the future. Regretting this is pointless. If you have any thoughts, then first docunt your experience with the Eye of Ti and Space, that thing is very dangerous and needs to be thoroughly eradicated."
Qiao Ying nodded, wiped away her tears with her hand, "Should I, should I apologize to him first?"
"Let’s wait for the final investigation results before we talk about apologies."
Zheng Yichen, wearing a protective suit, arrived at the isolated zone of the Eye of Ti and Space. He looked at the massive misty light sphere, took a breath, and walked in, knowing that to solve this matter he needed to see the situation for himself.
The observing researchers suddenly widened their eyes, "Is he out of his mind??"
But soon they saw Zheng Yichen erge from the Eye of Ti and Space, wave at an observation window, and then re-enter the Eye. A few researchers exchanged glances, "How did he manage that?"
Inside the Eye of Ti and Space, Zheng Yichen felt imnse pressure as soon as he entered—pressure even fiercer than the instant when passing through an Alien Phenonon. Even soone like him felt his body beco very heavy and his stamina deplete rapidly.
A normal Alien Phenonon hunter, though not necessarily fatal, would probably be unable to move for more than a few minutes in here.
Besides, the Environntal Adjustnt was extraordinarily chaotic here, one could feel their body’s resilience like bungee jumping even while standing still.
One second at peak tension, the next plumting to a trough; and it was the sa for special powers.
"What kind of place is this..." In such an environnt, Zheng Yichen felt uneasy as he continued towards the center of the Eye of Ti and Space. He was using his footsteps to gauge his position, aiming to reach the other end from the entrance of the isolated zone based on his walk. Yet he hadn’t found his way out and was beginning to suspect he was lost.
But having co this far, he had to investigate thoroughly what was inside.
"Is it possible to track the other’s traces?" Outside, the researchers were busy. After Zheng Yichen had gone in, they had paused their testing, instead focusing their attention on Zheng Yichen. They were curious how Zheng Yichen could ignore the effects of the Eye of Ti and Space and survive.
"Adjusting the equipnt now, linking the protective suit should allow for observation... There, captured their figure." A researcher said, looking at the projection screen in front. The equipnt here had no extra interfering effect on the Eye of Ti and Space, but so functions could still be used, such as the observation feature.
The moles wanted the Eye of Ti and Space project to progress, so they had to produce sothing substantial.
The observation function was operational, and the images were the sa as before, with so areas clear and others blurry. They saw Zheng Yichen walking steadily inside the Eye of Ti and Space, his protective suit providing additional information, much like the observation robots previously sent into the Eye of Ti and Space.
Only now, it was a living person who had gone in.
Zheng Yichen had also confird that this so-called Eye of Ti and Space was actually a giant compressed Alien Phenonon!
Upon entering a certain area, he saw the distortions all around him, with various objects intermittently erging due to a kind of compressive force, preventing them from falling out, with only so of the smaller objects falling to the ground.
As he passed through these distortions, the touched distortions returned to normal. These distortions seed similar to spatial distortions but were different from actual spatial distortions. They were like water flows, disturbing the flow when touched, causing it to beco calm or further agitated.
Ignoring the effects of these distortions, Zheng Yichen searched for his target. A normal Alien Phenonon couldn’t last for long, and since the Eye of Ti and Space was a compressed Phenonon, the fact that it could sustain for so long certainly ant there was a special Alien Phenonon creature within, or perhaps so other object.
Now, he had to find that object.
The Environntal Adjustnt here was too chaotic; he couldn’t use a special thod to search and had to proceed step by step. While pondering, he thought of a way to follow the traces of these environntal distortions to find the center of distortion.
"The observation is getting blurrier, he has entered an area we’ve never deeply observed before," said a researcher with a mix of nervousness and anticipation. As Zheng Yichen ventured further, the image beca more and more blurred and distorted, but they could still distinguish quite a few details.
"So the items from the alien world we previously obtained weren’t truly from so spontaneous entry, but were brought by these distortions."
As to why such depths weren’t explored before...well, the signal connection is now very weak; they could only maintain the most basic level of observation, let alone allow exploration devices to delve deeper. Such devices are more delicate, and going deeper would spell their imdiate destruction.
Half a minute passed and the observation screen completely disappeared.
Zheng Yichen had found his objective. He saw what appeared to be a giant heart over two ters in diater—well, sothing resembling a heart. This heart had many fleshy tendrils branching out, with the ends apparently connected to the surrounding air.
As the heart pulsated, the tips of the branches throbbed slightly, and upon closer observation, the range of these branches seed to be gradually expanding.
As Zheng Yichen approached, the minute tendrils on the heart began to change direction, slowly wriggling towards him.
Looking at the creature, Zheng Yichen raised his black spear. The tendrils latched onto it, spreading towards him like ivy. Zheng Yichen moved the black spear, finding the tendrils to be very tough.
He sneered, "No matter what you are, you’re unlucky to have t ."
He thrust the black spear into one of the thicker tendrils, and then the entire heart reacted violently. A loud thumping noise erupted, and Zheng Yichen’s eyes widened as he felt his own heartbeat accelerate with the creature’s rhythm...
Without any hesitation, he pushed aside the tendrils with his black spear, swiftly reaching the edge of the heart. He stabbed his weapon into the heart, and the violent thumping did not subside but instead accelerated further. Zheng Yichen felt like his own heart was about to burst!
Clenching his teeth, he thrust another black spear he held into the heart, creating a huge gash with both spears. Blood spurted from the wound, so of which the black spear seed to absorb voraciously.
Throughout this process, Zheng Yichen felt as though his own heart truly had exploded...
