"*cough* *cough*—" The feeling of his heart exploding made Zheng Yichen’s vision darken, but fortunately, the Environntal Adjustnt changes near this massive heart weren’t so frequent. He had also learned martial arts; the Inner Strength cultivated from Blood Asura was forcefully driving his blood to maintain its normal function.
His recovery power was taking effect, but it wasn’t much use at the mont. As soon as his heart recovered a little, it would resonate with the giant heart. The blood drawn from this giant heart could sustain his vitality, but its blood-making function was exceptionally strong.
The two black spears could drain an entity hundreds of tis larger than him, or even more, in not too long, but this heart was incredibly resilient. Without a doubt, this was an Alien Phenonon creature, or to be precise, an organ of life with an anomaly.
It was probably so kind of thing studied in the Great World by Boundary Breakers.
"Mador—" Unable to withstand it anymore, Zheng Yichen charged directly into the heart, stabbing with the two black spears in his hands. However, the regenerative power of the heart was very strong. It might not look like much on the outside, but the inside was a different story.
The punctured wounds healed quickly, and besides the blood absorbed by the black spears, Zheng Yichen also used part of it to train his martial arts. Yet, even this couldn’t suppress the ’heart’s’ agitation. Later, he even felt his blood vessels beginning to burst.
Apart from compressing the anomalies, the researchers also felt sothing was amiss. So of them widened their eyes and unconsciously clutched their chests, while those with heart problems took out the dicine they carried and threw it into their mouths, but the effects were still not very noticeable.
"What’s going on..." One researcher widened their eyes, trying to say sothing, but ended up collapsing onto the ground, curling up in agony. Nearby ard personnel quickly dragged away those researchers who had fallen. Soon after, Chang Wenhua arrived here in a hurry.
"What’s happened??"
"The Eye of Ti and Space seems to have so problems..." The researchers with better physical conditions could still stand there, but they too felt their heartbeats unnaturally accelerating, and as ti passed, the discomfort grew more severe.
"Let’s evacuate everyone for now and use robots to work."
Chang Wenhua’s words allowed the remaining researchers to sigh in relief. They quickly finished the transition. This was not the first ti they had done this; it was usually done when the Eye of Ti and Space showed so agitation. But this ti, the agitation had penetrated the isolation zone, directly affecting them.
Several older individuals were sent straight to the dical room for ergency treatnt.
Chang Wenhua went to the isolation window to observe the Eye of Ti and Space. As he approached it, he too could feel his heart beating abnormally.
The blood flow was increasing, etc. The Eye of Ti and Space beca agitated, the ambiguous colors started to fade, and a mist spilled out from the Eye of Ti and Space. Chang Wenhua’s eyes widened, and he stepped back a few paces before asking through the communicator, "What’s with this mist?"
"Still comparing... this mist and the mist produced by the anomalies we’ve observed are the sa."
"Anomalies??" Chang Wenhua’s mouth twitched slightly. He wasn’t originally in charge of this matter, but the highest leader and the commander here had both died, and the remaining higher-ups—the slicker ones—conveniently put the responsibility on him. So of the more hard-lined ones had to be locked up.
Otherwise, the Proxy Agent might start killing people.
A couple of higher-ups had already run away, damn moles.
"Yes, it’s the sa mist produced by anomalies. This kind of mist has an interfering nature, and the mist spilling out from the Eye of Ti and Space is the sa as the mist from the anomalies!"
"...So, what we’ve been researching all along is an anomaly?"
"Uh, from the current situation, it seems that way."
Chang Wenhua’s face tightened. He thought about so information extracted from the brains of Boundary Breakers, like the moving anomalies, but the recalled mories from their brains weren’t complete and coherent. There was also a lot of day-to-day residue and useless information.
Moreover, the extracted information was too much to go through in a short ti.
However, with the new situation at hand, he could direct Chiang Wei to continue with specific comparisons and filtering. Chang Wenhua contacted Chiang Wei, who quickly sent over so sifted information. The more Chang Wenhua read, the graver his expression beca...
This thing was even more dangerous than moving anomalies.
"So what kind of issue does it represent when the Eye of Ti and Space exhibits this kind of change?"
"Let’s see... They haven’t encountered this situation before, so they don’t know," Chiang Wei said as she looked at the information searched on the screen in front of her, speaking to Chang Wenhua through the communicator.
Chang Wenhua’s expression was solemn. They hadn’t encountered this situation before? Did that an all their previous attempts at this had been successful, hence they never ca across this issue?
Although he had little reaction to other worlds facing the sa problems, the thought of his own world possibly encountering the sa situation struck a chord with him. He too had family, friends, and acquaintances.
"However, based on the information retrieved, the current changes in the Eye of Ti and Space indicate that it is transitioning into a normal ’moving Alien Phenonon,’ which should be a good thing," Chiang Wei, sitting on a chair, said as she looked at a projection screen next to her displaying monitoring information of the Eye of Ti and Space.
"...Hopefully," Chang Wenhua muttered as he watched fog spill out from the Eye of Ti and Space in increasing amounts and left the area. The fog, disregarding barriers, directly infiltrated beyond the quarantine zone, drawing on the information related to the Alien Phenonon creatures from the minds of the Boundary Breakers.
Though they had already researched so of that information—for example, the fact that people lose consciousness upon entering an Alien Phenonon—information provided by the Boundary Breakers completed the missing parts of their research. Normally, people would lose consciousness upon entering, but those with special adaptability could avoid blacking out.
However, adaptability wasn’t a matter of personal strength. Even if an individual’s strength was top-tier in this world, lacking that adaptability ant they couldn’t remain conscious within an Alien Phenonon.
Zheng Yichen had been inside the Eye of Ti and Space for so ti by now, and its current transformation must be due to whatever he had done inside to alter the state of the Eye of Ti and Space.
Inside the Eye of Ti and Space, the massive heart began to shrink. The first problem to erge was with the flesh tendrils that extended outward; after the writhing tendrils withered, the surface of the heart began to harden. Zheng Yichen, within the giant heart, felt its changes.
The heart had originally been like an endless well, gushing blood non-stop, more enduring even than the Demon Flower. As the heart began to wither, it imdiately deflated.
The robust muscles that had been compressing him beca soft and weak, and the exploding blood vessels, no longer affected by the heart, started to regenerate along with his regenerative properties, including the burst heart which normally couldn’t recover so swiftly under regular circumstances.
But now, with who knows how much blood drained by him from the heart, recovery was a minor affair. Zheng Yichen, as he moved forward, felt a tightness on his scalp—as he stepped on hair that trailed on the ground.
There were also changes to his body; his arms were noticeably thicker than before, and the protective suit he wore had grown tight. His body’s age seed to have reverted to before the serpent’s exuvia stage!
The chaotic Environntal Adjustnt in the environnt had disappeared too, and the colorful atmosphere turned into a foggy haze. The Eye of Ti and Space hadn’t vanished completely. He stared at the withered heart; not that he left on purpose, but after the heart withered, there was no more blood being produced—it was like a stone.
This stone now showed dense and nurous cracks, and a hand with pale-white blood vessels sticking to it reached out, followed by its owner. Zheng Yichen was shocked to see that the person who erged from the heart looked just like him.
But the creature had a mouthful of sharp, fearso teeth, slit pupils with starlight specks within them, and eyes as crazed as a wild beast’s. Upon its appearance, the Alien Phenonon creature charged at Zheng Yichen.
Zheng Yichen raised his black spear, which snapped with a click, and his protective suit ripped open.
"What on earth..." As he faced this ’himself’ that moved on all fours, Zheng Yichen kept a wary eye on the creature that was both fast and strong.
With the creature’s ergence, the Environntal Adjustnt around them stabilized. The environnt was one of dual extres, and Zheng Yichen activated Burst Mode imdiately. His Inner Strength as the Blood Asura, combined with the boost from Burst Mode, leveled the playing field as he engaged in combat with the monster.
The monster reminded Zheng Yichen of a great ape, but it was actually easier to deal with than the ape once the fight began. The creature lacked the great ape’s combat instincts and intelligence, attacking wildly, and once Zheng Yichen figured out its attack pattern, he dealt with the creature with ease.
But it had to be said that the creature’s strength was truly imnse. After a brief clash, the ground around them was utterly devastated, and the residual effects of their battle even seeped outside of the Alien Phenonon.
Inside the control room, Chiang Wei’s eyes widened as she watched the monitoring area being covered in fog. She had already switched through several cara feeds, but the fog kept spreading, and it would reach her soon.
She was ready to leave when she saw the monitoring displays crack due to an impact, and the place where she was started to tremble: "What’s happened?"
No longer concerned with anything else, she swiftly grabbed her briefcase and ran out of the control room. With the spreading fog and the trembling ground, she had no intention of staying to watch the events unfold; finding a safe place was her priority.
Shortly after she fled the control room, the trembling of the ground subsided.
Zheng Yichen eyed his ’self’ biting into his arm. The creature’s sharp teeth easily pierced through his protective suit. It sucked his blood, and the starlight in its eyes brightened, but then the light quickly faded again.
A black long spear pierced through the creature’s chest, hanging it aloft.
