“Mom, I’m going in now~”

Ling Ye yawned as she stood by the school gate, feeling like she hadn’t fully woken up yet. She hadn’t gotten up this early in a long ti, and combined with her late-night gaming session, all she wanted now was to find her classroom and take a nap.

“Okay. Rember what Mom told you, and I’ll co to pick you up after school in the afternoon,” Ling Ning said gently.

“No need... I’m not a kid anymore.”

Ling Ye mumbled before turning and walking through the school gates.

As she glanced around at the scenery, she realized this was the sa school her mom had once attended. Still, it didn’t seem fair—her school term had started, but her mom’s college sester hadn’t. How was that fair?

Watching her daughter’s retreating figure, Ling Ning smiled helplessly. She was just about to leave when a familiar figure caught her eye. It was Ye Xuan, carrying a box and walking toward her.

“Ye Xuan?! Why aren’t you preparing for the opening ceremony on the first day of school? What are you doing here?” Ling Ning asked curiously.

“Moving stuff.”

Ye Xuan’s answer was as succinct as ever. Seeing Ling Ning surprised her too, but it made sense—Ling Ning was probably dropping her daughter off at school.

Rolling her eyes, Ling Ning said, “Obviously, you’re moving stuff. I’m asking why you’re moving things at this ti.”

“Because I got reassigned. Starting today, I won’t be teaching at this school anymore,” Ye Xuan explained calmly.

“Oh, I see... Wait, what? You just transferred here a year ago! Where are you going this ti?”

“S University.”

“S University?” Ling Ning blinked in confusion, her eyes widening when she realized sothing. “Wait! That’s the university I’m about to attend!”

Ye Xuan nodded lightly. She had specifically requested the transfer because Ling Ning was enrolling at S University. She’d gone to great lengths to convince her father to pull so strings, even paying a price she’d rather not dwell on.

Ling Ning sighed, then asked curiously, “Can I ask what your dad does for a living? If it’s inconvenient, you don’t have to say. I’m just curious.”

“He’s just... a businessman with a bit of money,” Ye Xuan replied casually.

“Oh~” Ling Ning nodded thoughtfully. Judging by how easily Ye Xuan could get transferred, it was clear her dad wasn’t just “a bit” wealthy.

“Let help you move. Where are you taking this stuff?”

Ye Xuan pointed toward a new car parked nearby. “Just to the car.”

Following Ye Xuan’s gesture, Ling Ning spotted a sleek, new sedan parked by the roadside. While it wasn’t a luxury sports car, it was definitely a high-end model.

“You can drive?” Ling Ning asked curiously.

“Mm.”

After loading the box into the car, the two walked back into the campus. Normally, Ling Ning wouldn’t have been allowed in, but her familiarity with the school’s security guard, coupled with Ye Xuan’s presence, made it easy.

“Why didn’t you drive the car inside? I rember there’s parking available near the faculty dorms,” Ling Ning asked.

“B-Because there wasn’t much to move, so I didn’t bother,” Ye Xuan replied, her expression calm. She wasn’t about to admit she wasn’t confident about reversing the car.

Hearing Ye Xuan's words, Ling Ning squinted at her: "Don't tell ... you don't know how to reverse park?"

A rare look of panic flashed across Ye Xuan's face as she stamred: "I... how could I not know how to reverse park!"

Ling Ning suddenly felt that if she was going to ride in Ye Xuan's car, maybe she should buy so insurance first - otherwise she really felt a bit worried.

Gently shaking her head to clear away those unrealistic thoughts, she followed Ye Xuan to her private break room.

Most of Ye Xuan's belongings had already been moved out, with only so small items remaining.

Looking at this break room that belonged to Ye Xuan, Ling Ning felt sowhat nostalgic—after all, during her senior year of high school, she often ca here to nap in the air conditioning.

She had almost been pushed down by Ye Xuan here back then... wait a minute, co to think of it, with just the two of them here, would she be in danger?

Ling Ning instinctively looked back at Ye Xuan, only to find her busy packing things up and not paying attention to this side. Ling Ning inexplicably felt relieved.

Looking at that familiar bed, Ling Ning imdiately flopped onto it, completely forgetting about her intention to help Ye Xuan pack.

The sheets and pillows hadn't been removed yet, and lying there she could still sll a faint fragrance, the sa as what ca from Ye Xuan's body—it felt really nice.

Ling Ning yawned as she lay on the bed. She hadn't gone to bed much earlier than her daughter last night, and she had gotten up earlier than her daughter this morning. Now she suddenly felt sleepy.

"Just a quick nap, just a quick nap will do," Ling Ning silently told herself.

After tidying up the living room, Ye Xuan returned to remove the sheets and pillows from the bed. But as soon as she stepped into the room, she froze. Ling Ning was sprawled across the bed, fast asleep.

Sighing helplessly, Ye Xuan walked over and gently removed Ling Ning’s shoes. She adjusted her sleeping posture to make her more comfortable before quietly leaving the room.

However, as Ye Xuan reached the door, her gaze lingered on Ling Ning’s long, flawless legs. After a mont’s hesitation, she turned back and sat at the edge of the bed, her hand hovering over Ling Ning’s leg.

It had been a long ti since she’d felt this sensation—her hand rested lightly on Ling Ning’s leg. It was just as she rembered, smooth and perfect.

Ye Xuan’s usual composed deanor softened into a rare look of contentnt. Seeing that Ling Ning was still sound asleep, she beca a bit bolder, her hand inching upward—

Knock, knock.

“Ms. Ye Xuan, are you inside?”

Ye Xuan froze, her expression instantly reverting to its usual calm.
