Chapter 703: Chapter 669: Tonks’s Disguise Lesson (Part 2)

Cedric said vaguely, "But she claid that at the ti she was in detention with Filch for playing in the corridor, and was in his office all along, not in the auditorium.

"Later, this was confird by Filch. Although many people were convinced she was the culprit, there was no evidence.

"And a week later she graduated to beco an Auror, and the matter was left unresolved."

"Oh..." Hannah’s eyes sparkled again.

Leading the entire academy in a fight and coming out unscathed, just hearing about it gets your blood pumping.

"I’m already looking forward to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class," Mikel said excitedly. "When is our next class?"

"It’s just tomorrow," Kael said, "second period in the morning."

"Why can’t it be the first period?"

"Are you sure?" Ryan said with a smile. "Don’t forget our professor is still Umbridge, and Nymphadora Tonks is just here to assist her."

Mikel’s face imdiately fell, "Co on, can you not ruin my good mood with such a buzzkill?"

A burst of laughter erupted around them.

Although Ryan was right, they hadn’t changed the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, it was sothing to look forward to nonetheless.

...

The next day, Kael and the others first went to Charm Class.

Since a week ago, Professor Flitwick no longer allowed everyone to cast incantations, which led to a lot of chaos in the classroom.

Mikel’s wand exploded, spewing a series of sparks, nearly singeing Professor Flitwick’s hair.

A Gryffindor girl waved her wand, causing her hair to all stand on end, making her look like she was sporting a uniquely styled broom.

Soone’s spell hit a desk, which then ca to life, spreading its legs to gallop around the classroom, knocking Professor Flitwick off his feet as he was trying to maintain order.

Kael thought it might be a type of Transfiguration Spell, the desk seed to see itself as a bull.

Luckily, Professor Flitwick, used to such incidents, didn’t get angry; dusting himself off, he stood up quickly and restored the classroom to its original state, while also punishing two students for incanting softly.

After class, everyone hurriedly jotted down their howork before eagerly rushing out the door, arriving early at the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

Five minutes later, Umbridge walked into the classroom, but that wasn’t the highlight. To their surprise, she was accompanied by a witch who had led cheers for Hufflepuff in the Quidditch match.

So students instinctively looked at Tonks’ hair...

"Look, grey hair," Mikel whispered, "Yesterday it was yellow and black like Hufflepuff’s flag, I rember clearly."

Besides Mikel, others also noticed Tonks’ change in hair color, making them extraordinarily excited.

"Looks like what Cedric and his friends said is true," Mikel exclaid, looking ahead. "I wonder what she’ll teach us... I hope it’s how she managed to outwit Slytherin without getting caught by the professors. I’ve always wanted to do that."

"You might be disappointed," Kael glanced at him.

tamorphmagus abilities are mostly innate, even if Tonks wanted to teach, others wouldn’t be able to learn.

At this mont, Umbridge and Tonks had already reached the podium.

As always, Umbridge maintained her fake smile,

"Now, open your ’Magic Defense Theory,’ where did we leave off last ti?"

No one replied, most didn’t even move, and those who were about to open their books stopped due to the peculiar atmosphere.

"Professor, reading books can’t protect us from You-Know-Who, can it?" ca a clear voice from the classroom.

"I’ve reminded you repeatedly, you must raise your hand to speak in my class!" Umbridge shouted, "Also, the Ministry of Magic will ensure your safety, all you need to do is follow the Ministry’s instructions and stay obediently at school."

"But we can’t stay at school forever."

"I said, raise your hand!" Umbridge raised her voice again, "I’ll say it again, the Ministry will protect your safety, now turn to page one hundred and seventy-five of your book, we..."

"Sorry, Professor Umbridge."

Soone interrupted her again.

Umbridge was about to lose her temper, but then she realized it was Tonks who had spoken.

Holding a schedule, she pretended to scrutinize it, "According to the latest curriculum, it seems I’m supposed to teach this class."

Saying that, she spread the schedule out before Umbridge, "Look, my na is right here at the end."

"You..." Umbridge’s face turned black, "Don’t forget, I’m the professor of this class, and you’re just here to assist."

"I’ve always kept that in mind, and emphasized it many tis," Tonks said.

"Then you should follow my instructions, turn to..."

"Sorry, Professor Umbridge," Tonks interrupted her again,

"But this is an assignnt from the Minister, and I have to complete it, otherwise soone might tell the Ministry that I’m not doing my job, and the Minister might get upset."

"What if I insist on teaching?"

"Of course you can, you’re the professor, you have the final say," Tonks said nonchalantly, "But to keep my salary, I’ll have to write a letter to the Ministry to explain the situation."
