Chapter 702: Chapter 669: Tonks’s Disguise Class
When they returned to the locker room, everyone was still imrsed in the joyful atmosphere.
"I guess that Davis must be pretending to be sick..." Mikel said excitedly, "He knew from the start that Ravenclaw couldn’t win this match, especially since Kael has a Firebolt."
"Don’t say that." Cedric shook his head as he put on his robe, "Gryffindor’s Harry Potter also has a Firebolt, and he’s the Seeker. If Roger Davis was really afraid of losing, quitting the team would have been his best option.
"Besides, Cho said yesterday that Davis was knocked off his broom by a Bludger. Madam Pomfrey probably wouldn’t allow him to leave the hospital wing so soon."
"Alright then..." Mikel said, shivering subconsciously.
Back in first year, Mikel had witnessed Madam Pomfrey’s thods. If she insisted that Davis couldn’t participate in the match, even Professor Flitwick couldn’t change her mind.
"Alright, let’s go." Cedric said with a smile, "How about we have a party in the common room tonight? After all, it’s our first victory of the year, and we should celebrate."
The other team mbers agreed imdiately and cheerfully left the locker room.
The castle was also engulfed in a sea of joy; this match seed to dispel the gloom that had hung over Hogwarts for the past few days. People were less concerned with the lack of news about You-Know-Who and the Death Eaters, and more focused on the upcoming Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
With the sixth-year students spreading the word, most people knew that the new teacher had arrived at Hogwarts.
"I really hope this new person can teach us sothing new." Hannah said in the common room, "I’ve had enough of copying and reciting. It’s just past Christmas and I’ve already spent more on parchnt than I did last year. If this keeps up, my pocket money won’t last."
"I don’t think so." Cedric said, "In my mory, she’s nothing like Umbridge."
"You know that professor?" Hannah looked over.
"Yes." Cedric nodded, "When I first started school, she was in her seventh year. But she was already chosen as an Auror intern back then and wasn’t often at school."
"What kind of person is she?" Mikel asked curiously, "Is she like you? Chosen to be an Auror in her seventh year, she must have been outstanding. I bet she has at least ten certificates."
"No, quite the opposite." Cedric thought for a mont, hesitantly saying, "Although I didn’t have much interaction with her and we never spoke, many people used to say Tonks was a Gryffindor sorted into Hufflepuff."
"What does that an?" Mikel blinked, "Wasn’t she a Hufflepuff graduate? How did she beco a Gryffindor?"
"It ans her personality is like a Gryffindor’s... not quite as obedient." Cedric racked his brains and finally found a sowhat acceptable description.
After all, gossiping about her was not appropriate now that she’s a professor.
"Ah, I rember now." Suddenly, a seventh-year student said, "After the last Quidditch match, the person who led Hufflepuff and Slytherin into a fight was called Nymphadora, I believe."
Cedric turned his head away and stayed silent, tacitly admitting it.
Everyone imdiately beca interested.
"Tell us more..." The people around eagerly pulled out candies, cookies, and peanuts from their pockets and gathered around the seventh-year student.
"Here’s what happened... During the last Quidditch match, it was us against Slytherin. Whoever won would be the champion. But during the ga, they played dirty and knocked our main guy, Harris, off his broom, leading us to lose by just thirty points.
"Then, during Slytherin’s celebration, soone suddenly rushed from the stands and started fighting with them. Since all the Hufflepuffs were holding in their anger, they all joined in when they saw soone take the lead... The scene was spectacular, but the professors were furious, and it was the first ti I saw Professor McGonagall get angry."
"Oh, how cool!" Hannah’s eyes sparkled as she asked worriedly, "But leading a fight... she must have been punished, right? Was she given detention?"
"No!" The student shook their head.
"No?" Hannah was stunned, "It couldn’t have been expulsion... I an, those who are expelled can’t beco Aurors, right?"
"Of course not expelled." Cedric continued, "In fact, the professors couldn’t find out who started it. The Slytherins all said it was a red-haired girl, but the problem was that there was no girl with red hair in Hufflepuff at that ti."
A gasp of disbelief echoed throughout the common room.
"Could it have been soone from another house?" soone said, "The Weasley family, they’re redheads, right? Maybe they were sitting at the Hufflepuff table beforehand."
"The only girl in the Weasley family hadn’t started school yet back then." Cedric said, "And they searched the entire school but couldn’t find the person they rembered."
"Wait..." Mikel wondered, "Then why do you think it had sothing to do with Nymphadora Tonks?"
"Because she has a special ability to change her hair color, making her the most suspicious."
