Chapter 701: Chapter 668: Targeted Kael (Part 3)
And he scored all the points; the other team mbers would lack a sense of involvent. They’ve been training for so long, they can’t just be background, right...
So Kael agreed to slow down, after all, he alone was holding off three people, the advantage was still on Hufflepuff’s side, no rush.
Sure enough, Derbis, going solo, only flew for a while before the Quaffle in his hand was snatched away.
"Now Grace has the ball, this girl is quite good too, she’s trying to pass to Kael... Oh, the Quaffle has been intercepted by Bradley, who passes it back to Derbis."
"Don’t worry about , I’m keeping three of them occupied, you guys focus on scoring!" Kael shouted to Grace as he flew by, and Grace nodded, steering her broom to chase after Derbis.
"Hey, Kael," at this mont, Mikel flew over, shaking the club in his hand, jokingly saying, "Should we target Cho? If I knock her off her broom, I won’t be kicked off the team, right?"
"Cedric is not that petty," Kael replied, "but if you don’t target the Seeker the entire ga, he might consider kicking you off."
"Then I’m relieved," Mikel laughed. He swung the club, hitting the Bludger forcefully towards Cho, but whether intentionally or not, the Bludger just flew past the top of Cho’s head.
"You’d better take it seriously," Kael said, "if we lose this match, Hufflepuff will be a joke."
"I am serious, it’s the bat’s fault," Mikel explained, then lifted his arm.
Sure enough, there was a crack on the bat.
"I should have taken Weasley’s advice and bought a new bat," Mikel muttered, "these school-provided ones are too old."
"Need a tiout?"
"No need," Mikel shook his head, "It should hold until the end of the match. Need my help?"
"I can handle it myself..." Kael dodged another Bludger overhead, "You go help Grace."
"Got it!" Mikel nodded and flew towards another Bludger.
...
With Kael holding off three Ravenclaw players, the other two Hufflepuff Chasers beca more and more fluid, scoring a goal every few minutes. Within half an hour, the score was already 130-20.
Though the gap was significant, Ravenclaw still had a chance if they could catch the Golden Snitch...
Ten minutes later, Hufflepuff scored two more goals...and at this ti, Cho and Cedric, who had been circling in midair, almost simultaneously sprang into action.
They leaned down on their brooms, sprinting in the sa direction.
In an instant, the entire stadium fell silent.
"It’s the Golden Snitch, right in front of them!" Lee Jordan shouted loudly, "Can Hufflepuff win with absolute advantage, or will Ravenclaw turn the tables at the last mont? It all depends on who catches the Golden Snitch!"
Not many listened to him, nearly all eyes were glued to the two Seekers.
Kael watched the Golden Snitch loop around the Ravenclaw goalpost and fly towards the other side of the stands, as Cedric and Cho arrived nearby, getting closer and closer, only a few feet apart...both reached out at the sa ti, grabbing forward.
The ending whistle blew...
"Who was it!" Lee Jordan asked anxiously, his upper body almost leaning out of the stands.
Under the gaze of the entire stadium, Cedric suddenly raised his hand, where a pair of wings was weakly flapping between his fingers.
The audience erupted into an excited uproar as they realized what had happened.
Tonks stood up excitedly, conjuring a Hufflepuff flag in midair. She suddenly felt like coming to Hogwarts wasn’t so bad after all.
The players embraced warmly in midair, then landed back on the ground.
Cedric shook hands with Cho again.
"What a pity, we almost turned the ga around," Cho said, pretending not to mind.
"Yeah," Cedric replied with a smile, "thanks to my arms being an inch longer than yours."
Cho was also amused.
Cedric was telling the truth. Although generally speaking, smaller Seekers are definitely faster, at critical monts, longer arms are also an advantage.
The Hufflepuff players stood together, punching the air, waving back at the supporters.
