Chapter 704: Chapter 669: Tonks’s Disguise Class_3

"You know, the Ministry is very concerned about what’s happening at Hogwarts now, and no one can slack off."

"Very well, very well." Umbridge stared at Tonks, "Then this class is up to you, Professor Tonks."

She emphasized the last two words heavily.

"I’m just an assistant, you’re the professor." Tonks corrected.

But Umbridge didn’t show any sign of happiness; she didn’t even look at Tonks again and just walked down the podium and left the classroom.

As soon as the door closed, a burst of cheers erupted in the classroom.

"Alright, don’t get too excited." Tonks waved her hand.

When everyone cald down, she continued, "What are you waiting for? Quickly put away that damned ’Magic Defense Theory’ book. I’ll say it’s all nonsense, completely useless.

"Of course, I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just that the content is too rigid; in real situations, it’s almost impossible to use."

Before she even finished talking, there wasn’t a single book left on the table; so people even took out their wands early.

"Put the wands away too." Tonks said, "Because before class... I must first check how well you’ve learned Transfiguration, it’s very important."

"Transfiguration?" Soone didn’t understand, "But this is Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

"I know, but for what I’m going to teach, Transfiguration is the foundation... like this."

Tonks tapped her face with her wand, her cheeks imdiately puffed up, and her chin beca slightly flat.

Although they were small changes, it made her look like a completely different person; in another setting, even if she walked face-to-face, Kael might not recognize that this was Tonks.

"Disguise class." Tonks said, "A way to temporarily change your appearance without needing a potion.

"I know, so of you disapprove of this and think that just learning human Transfiguration is enough, so why do more, right?"

Her gaze swept around the class, and so people imdiately hid their disappointnt, but these were mostly Gryffindors, who wanted to learn more powerful magic, instead of sothing... already learned in Transfiguration class or could be done with a magic potion.

But they didn’t notice that the Hufflepuffs attending the class, after hearing Tonks’ words, were excited to the point their eyes turned red.

"I knew it, haha!" Mikel couldn’t help but laugh.

Kael didn’t speak; he didn’t expect Tonks to use human Transfiguration to replace tamorphmagus, she should go and assist Professor McGonagall.

"I need to warn you..." On the podium, Tonks continued, "If you haven’t practiced, recklessly using human Transfiguration to change your appearance will only make you stand out more in a crowd."

"Mr. Thomas." She called out a na, "You don’t seem to agree with ."

"Not at all, Professor." A Gryffindor stood up and said.

"Just call

the teaching assistant." Tonks said, "It’s okay, you can try to imitate what I just did, and if you can make others not recognize you, then you can do whatever you want in this class."

"Really?"

"Of course." Tonks said with a smile.

"Great!" The person imdiately took out a wand and tapped his face.

Then, there was a sudden burst of laughter around; so people held their stomachs, tears almost coming out from laughter.

"What happened?" He was a bit confused.

Tonks didn’t answer, just conjured a mirror in front of him.

He scread as soon as he took a glance.

It was clear he tried to do what Tonks did, but he didn’t control it well, overdid it a bit, and even the Transfiguration magic affected his nose, making him look like a house-elf who drank a Swelling Potion... and an expired Swelling Potion at that.

But in a way, he did succeed; now no one could recognize who he was, including himself.

Tonks took out her wand, barely holding back laughter, she waved it and removed the effects of the Transfiguration Spell.

"This is what I’m talking about, untrained human Transfiguration simply cannot hide your identity.

"Now, does anyone else want to try? The terms remain the sa, succeed and you have free ti for this class."

Everyone avoided her gaze, especially the girls, who just kept their heads down, pretending they heard nothing.

"Very well." Tonks nodded with satisfaction, "Then we’ll start from the basics."

She waved her wand, and a rabbit appeared in front of everyone.

"Before using it on yourselves, it’s best to practice on them first, so you can get the hang of it."

A rabbit appeared in front of Kael too, but he didn’t imdiately get to work like the others.

Actually, he wasn’t very interested in what Tonks was teaching... Magic always follows patterns, including Transfiguration. Even if it’s perfect, it will be seen through by strong wizards at a glance.

For example, Dumbledore and Voldemort. To fool them in appearance, there are only two ways... Polyjuice Potion and tamorphmagus.

Of course, for most Death Eaters, this thod still works; they’re not that sensitive to Magic Power, and they might honestly overlook it.

But if they were facing Death Eaters, Kael doesn’t even need to change his appearance to stay alive; he has simpler, more direct thods; at that ti, it would be the Death Eaters wanting to run away.

All in all, the content Tonks taught was only useful to most students, but for Kael, it was a bit redundant.
