"Honey!" Dmitri called Lanny’s attention.

Lanny turned to him with a frown on her lovely face. "It’s LANNY. Not Honey! Honey is not my na. Stop calling that!"

Dmitri just chuckled upon seeing the annoyance on her pretty face. He just loved teasing this woman.

"Don’t be upset. Co with . I’ll treat you to dinner. You don’t have to cook tonight!" Dmitri excitedly invited her.

Lanny raised her eyebrow, eyeing him suspiciously. "Really. Perhaps, you are getting tired of eating my delicious recipe? You don’t like my cooking. Just be honest."

Dmitri smiled and scratched his face. "I didn’t an it like that. Can you stop twisting everything I say? I just want to show my gratitude by treating you to dinner. You’ve been an amazing hostess these past few days. I feel at ho here because of you. You’re taking such good care of ."

"Alright. It’s your treat, right? Don’t expect to pay for our dinner tonight! Let’s choose the most cozy restaurant in the city!" Lanny uttered, trying to scare him. But Dmitri just chuckled at her words.

"Shall we go? I want to try the different and famous cuisines of York City. Who knows, I might decide to buy so properties and settle down here... with you!" Dmitri winked at his last remarks.

Lanny could only sigh helplessly before rising from her seat. "Stop saying things you don’t an."

"Wait here. I’m just going to change," Lanny mumbled, not waiting for Dmitri’s response as she headed to her room. She felt the need to doll up a little and wear a proper dress.

After scanning through her wardrobe and finally choosing a dress, she put it on and took a step back to admire her reflection. Suddenly, a realization hit her.

"Gosh. Why am I getting all dressed up? This is just a simple dinner, not a date," Lanny scolded herself, lightly tapping her forehead in frustration as she stared at her reflection in the mirror.

"I should be making Dmitri dislike , not trying to impress him," she added, letting out a deep sigh.

Despite her words, she couldn’t help but feel a flutter of excitent, which only confused her further. Shaking her head, she decided to fix her appearance, hoping to keep the casual nature of their dinner.

Lanny’s dress was a scarlet red that complented her fair complexion. The dress was elegant yet simple, with a flattering A-line silhouette that fell just above her knees.

Usually left in a casual ponytail, her hair was now softly curled and cascading over her shoulders. She had applied a hint of makeup, just enough to highlight her natural beauty—mascara to accentuate her long lashes, a touch of blush to give her cheeks a healthy glow, and a subtle nude lipstick.

As she gazed at herself in the mirror, Lanny’s eyes, a striking shade of blue, seed to reflect both her inner conflict.

’This is not a dinner date,’ she reminded herself over and over again before stepping out of her room.

Despite her efforts to keep things casual, her attire and appearance suggested a desire to make a good impression, even if she wasn’t fully aware of it.

anwhile, Dmitri had frozen in his spot the mont he saw her. He couldn’t help but be amazed and admire her beauty.

’Damn, she is simply pretty.’ He thought inwardly, his eyes scanning her from head to toe. Then his gaze fell on her face once more.

Deep inside, he felt a sense of pride. ’This beautiful hot alluring lady will be my wife. But it’s not just her appearance that keeps drawn to her. It’s her personality. Fierce and strong woman. She is worthy to be my wife.’

On the other hand, Lanny took a mont to size up Dmitri. He was wearing a crisp white long-sleeve shirt paired with tailored black slacks. The simplicity of his outfit only served to highlight his masculine charm.

The shirt fit snugly across his broad shoulders and chest, hinting at the strength beneath, while the sleeves were rolled up slightly, exposing his muscular forearms.

His casual attire contrasted with his naturally rugged deanor, creating a captivating blend of sophistication and raw masculinity. The clean lines of his clothes accentuated his tall and athletic build.

Lanny couldn’t help but notice how well he carried himself, exuding confidence and ease. His dark hair was slightly tousled, giving him a laid-back, yet refined appearance, and his piercing hazel eyes seed to observe everything with quiet intensity.

"Honey, shall we go now?" Dmitri closed their gaps, offering her a hand.

Lanny just scowled at him, brushing off his hand. "No need to be formal. This is just a dinner."

"It’s a dinner date!" Dmitri insisted, making Lanny choke on her saliva.

"In your dreams! Let’s go. You drive!" Lanny imdiately tossed the car keys to Dmitri.

He was quick enough to catch it. He let out another husky laugh before following Lanny behind. He opened the car door for Lanny acting like a true gentleman. Then he proceeded to the other side, stepping inside the driver seat.

"I’ve already chosen a restaurant. I made an online reservation." Dmitri inford her as he started the car.

"Suit yourself." Lanny simply said, not looking at him. She didn’t want Dmitri to misunderstand that she was admiring his handso look tonight so she kept her eyes on the road.

On the other hand, Dmitri was stealing glances at her from ti to ti. He couldn’t understand why Lanny was always putting on a high invisible wall between them. She was keeping her distance from him and he could feel it.

’I’m going to ta her and lt her heart step by step. She’s an interesting woman. I truly like to get to know her better.’ Dmitri had set his eyes on Lanny. A hunter had put on a target lock on his prey.

’I’m glad I didn’t oppose this marriage arrangent between our families.’ Dmitri thought to himself.

"Stop smiling like a fool. Focus on your driving!" Lanny scolded him when she caught him smiling broadly without a reason.

Dmitri let out another chuckle. "Aye, Ma’am. Don’t worry. You are safe with . I’ll protect you."

Lanny just rolled her eyes skyward and kept her mouth shut. She would never win against Dmitri’s shalessness.

After a short mont, they’ve arrived at their destination. It was a seafood restaurant. Lanny and Dmitri were on the way to the entrance when they bumped into two familiar figures– Enzo and Alice.

"Enzo, is that you?" Dmitri was the one who called Enzo’s attention.

Alice and Enzo were also at the entrance of the restaurant when Dmitri noticed him. The two turned around and Enzo’s smile faded upon seeing Lanny standing next to Dmitri. They didn’t expect to see each other tonight. The two pairs seed to have a dinner date.

"Dmitri," Enzo nodded, forcing a smile. Then he glanced at Lanny. As he took in her beautiful appearance, he couldn’t help but stare at her intently. He couldn’t take his eyes off her.

"Miss Lanny, I’m glad to see you here. Is he your boyfriend?" Alice joined the conversation.

"I’m her fiancée!" Dmitri introduced himself.
