Chapter 307: Chapter 307: The Little Puppy Turns into a Big Wolf Dog
Mu Yunlie enlarged the photo to confirm the man’s appearance, and a rare look of shock appeared in his eyes.
“How do they know each other?”
He believed the words Aunt Xue told him because she really was an honest person who couldn’t lie.
But he didn’t trust that little thing.
If she was just a simple patient, she wouldn’t hide things, not wanting him to know.
He didn’t believe the excuse that it was just because the other person was good-looking and she was afraid he’d get jealous, even if Aunt Xue did.
So, he had Pei Yuexuan go to the hospital to investigate and see who she was really with.
But he never imagined the other person would be Xia Ziyu!
Pei Yuexuan was even more shocked than Mu Yunlie and imdiately sent a voice ssage.
“Sir, how could Madam know Prince Ziyu?”
“You ask , whom do I ask?” Mu Yunlie responded coldly.
He also wanted to know how those two got together.
Pei Yuexuan said, “The Queen is searching everywhere for Prince Ziyu, should we capture him and bring him back? That could earn us so rit.”
Mu Yunlie scoffed coldly, “Do you think I need to use sothing like this to gain rit?”
He couldn’t be bothered with the Royal Family’s internal affairs.
And as a military man, why would he need to gain rit over such trivial matters?
“Right, then should we report it?”
“Now that Xia Ziyu and Qianyi are together, if we report it upward, don’t you think Qianyi will get into trouble?”
They might charge her with the cri of abducting a prince, and she’d have no place to argue her case.
“What… what should we do then? Sir, I am asking for your instructions, could you… not respond with a question?” Pei Yuexuan sounded both aggrieved and helpless.
This was really hard for him.
Couldn’t the boss speak straightforwardly?
“Have soone watch them secretly and report anything imdiately to . Without my order, no one is to act rashly.”
“But what about the Queen…”
“Never mind.”
He only cared about his wife.
The matter of others looking for their son had nothing to do with him.
Yan Qianyi brought Xia Ziyu to a hotel and registered a room under her na.
But Xia Ziyu still looked worried, “Although I didn’t use my personal information to check in, my parents are very capable. I think they can still find , maybe you should just take back.”
Yan Qianyi sighed helplessly.
Here we go again…
They had talked about this topic countless tis, and she had refused countless tis!
Xia Ziyu continued trying to persuade Yan Qianyi to let him stay.
“I’m currently helping you investigate things. If my parents catch and take back, I won’t be able to help you.”
Yan Qianyi considered it and raised her eyebrows, “How about you stay at my place? I’ll move to my husband’s house and let you have my place.”
She thought Xia Ziyu was just clinging to her, and with that solution, he would surely give up.
To her surprise, he happily nodded, “Sure!”
She had lived there, and the place carried traces of her life, which was pretty nice.
Yan Qianyi rolled her eyes, “You took that joke seriously?”
Whenever she had ti, she would research how to detoxify Mu Yunlie quickly, or study how to enhance human fertility.
Moreover, she had to visit Yan’s hospital half a day every week as Masked Divine Doctor and make dicines for patients.
Therefore, everything she needed was in her laboratory, and moving to Mu Yunlie’s place would be very inconvenient.
The joyful look on Xia Ziyu’s face gradually turned mournful.
“Divine Doctor, I’ve never seen a woman as heartless as you.”
“Now you’ve learned a thing or two.”
“You…”
“No more talking, I’m heading back first.”
Yan Qianyi didn’t speak further with Xia Ziyu and left him alone at the hotel.
She knew that with Xia Ziyu’s ability, it was impossible for his parents to find him, plus the information registered at the hotel was still hers.
Just as Yan Qianyi had driven into the underground parking garage, Aunt Xue rang her up with a voice ssage, asking, “Miss, are you back? Dinner’s ready.”
“I’m parking the car.”
“Okay.” After hanging up the voice call, Aunt Xue sighed in relief and grinned at Mu Yunlie who was already sitting by the dining table, “Son-in-law, the miss is parking now.”
She was still worried the miss might co back late, which could upset the son-in-law.
After all, the son-in-law knew the miss had been with a handso man, although she had clarified that the man was her patient.
Soon, Yan Qianyi returned.
She walked up to Mu Yunlie and smiled wryly, “Sorry to have kept you waiting.”
Mu Yunlie took her hand, “Have you sorted out everything at the hospital?”
“Yes,” Yan Qianyi nodded, and perched herself on his lap, “I’m exhausted.”
“Miss, I’m feeling a bit bloated and don’t have much appetite; I’ll go back to my room to rest,” said Aunt Xue.
She couldn’t stand to watch the miss pretending in front of the son-in-law.
She was so embarrassed for the miss that she felt it was better to leave to avoid blurting out the truth.
Yan Qianyi asked, “What’s wrong again? I thought your stomach issue was resolved?”
“Probably ate too much at lunch, it’s okay, it’ll settle after a bit, you guys enjoy your al.”
With that, Aunt Xue swiftly left.
She simply dared not et Mu Yunlie’s eyes.
Yan Qianyi, puzzled, watched Aunt Xue hurriedly leaving, “Aunt Xue seed a bit odd today.”
“It’s just so discomfort,” Mu Yunlie said.
He certainly knew why Aunt Xue acted that way.
Yan Qianyi didn’t dwell on it any further, turning her gaze towards the lavish dinner spread, her eyes sparkling, “Wow, so much delicious food.”
“Are you hungry?”
“Yes.”
She moved out of Mu Yunlie’s arms and took a seat opposite him, picking up the chopsticks to eat.
Mu Yunlie watched her, his gaze probing, “How did things go at the hospital today?”
Yan Qianyi looked up from her bowl, smiling eyes crescent-shaped, cheeks puffed, she mumbled indistinctly, “I handled it myself, of course no problem, everything’s settled.”
Mu Yunlie gave a faint smile.
If he hadn’t noticed sothing fishy this afternoon, he really wouldn’t have caught her lying.
“Take your ti, no one’s competing with you.”
He pulled out a napkin and wiped the corners of her lips, his gaze helpless yet filled with adoration.
He had fallen for a little wild cat who liked to lie; he accepted it.
After feeling a bit full, Yan Qianyi slowed her eating pace and asked Mu Yunlie, “Are you going back tonight?”
He raised a corner of his mouth, “Would you like to stay?”
Looking into his teasing eyes, Yan Qianyi paused, “Of course I would, but—”
His stamina was really too good!
She was honestly a bit scared.
From his current look, it seed he couldn’t wait to…
She instinctively leaned back in her chair, feeling like he could pounce at any mont.
Heck, she thought he was a little puppy at first, but it turned out he was a full-blown wolf.
Mu Yunlie took a sip from his tea cup, a smirk curling on his lips, “Relax, I won’t trouble you tonight, rest early, I’ll take you sowhere tomorrow morning.”
