"Isn’t he the one whose girlfriend is a dancer?" Jiang Xinyi recalled Zhou Yuwen vaguely. His deanor stood out among students—casual yet stylish, favoring niche, comfortable brands.
"Yes, that's him. The buzz-worthy Xianlin Express? His friend runs it. I asked him for a little favor to get you in," You Changjin said smugly, proud of his influence.
Jiang Xinyi pondered. "A startup like this could easily hire accounting students. Having
join might be too much trouble for them."
"Don’t overthink it! He’s my student, and you’re his ntor’s partner. It's perfectly reasonable!" You Changjin boasted. "Besides, I’m on good terms with him."
Jiang Xinyi didn’t respond, her expression unreadable.

At the Dorm
anwhile, Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan waited near the dorm. She playfully perched on his lap, her tall fra snug in his embrace.
They kissed for a while, enjoying the mont, when Lu Lin erged from the dorm in a daze.
Dressed in pajama pants and a loose long-sleeved shirt, her hair was a ssy tangle. Scratching her head, she approached the BMW and opened the driver's side door. Her eyes landed on the couple, and she let out a sigh.
“What are you two up to now?”
Yanyan burst into laughter. “You just opened the door without a knock?”
“How was I supposed to know you’d be doing... that?”
“We weren’t doing anything!” Yanyan shot back.
Ignoring her, Lu Lin raised a brow at Zhou Yuwen. “Your stamina’s impressive.”
“It’s been a quiet few days,” Zhou Yuwen replied casually.
Rolling her eyes, Lu Lin shut the driver’s door and climbed into the backseat.
Yanyan scrambled over to the passenger side and scolded her friend, “Why are you so sloppy? Couldn’t you freshen up before eting my boyfriend?”
Lu Lin yawned lazily. “He’s your boyfriend, not mine.”
As Zhou Yuwen slowly drove toward the cafeteria, Yanyan chatted away, showing off the new car. “Nice, huh? Guess how much it costs?”
Lu Lin, half-listening, murmured, “Ninety grand?”
“Wrong! It’s over a hundred grand. My boyfriend got the high-end model!” Yanyan bead, her hand brushing Zhou Yuwen’s thigh as she spoke.
Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “More or less.”

At the Cafeteria
The ride was short, barely three minutes. They parked near the bustling dining hall. Students milled about after their evening classes, filling the cafeteria.
Zhou Yuwen’s classmates, including Li Qiang and Chang Hao, were among the crowd. The sight of the imposing BMW caught their attention.
“Whoa, whose BMW is that?” Li Qiang asked, eyes wide.
Chang Hao glanced over. “Looks like an X7. Probably costs over a hundred grand.”
“No way! Which teacher could afford that?”
Before they could speculate further, the car door opened, and Yanyan stepped out, clad in yoga pants and a cropped jacket.
“Isn’t that Zheng Yanyan?” Li Qiang exclaid.
Their group approached, and Yanyan waved cheerfully. “Hey!”
Li Qiang couldn’t help but quip, “Wow, Yanyan! Upgraded to a sugar daddy with a BMW?”
Chang Hao scowled at him, but before he could say anything, Zhou Yuwen stepped out of the car, followed by Lu Lin.
“Old Zhou?” Li Qiang’s jaw dropped.
Zhou Yuwen greeted them with a nod.
Li Qiang circled the car in awe. “You bought a new car? What happened to the old one?”
“It’s cold out. Driving a convertible in winter is no fun.”
“And this one? Borrowed?”
“Yeah, from a friend.”
“Man, introduce
to your friends!”
Zhou Yuwen chuckled and led Yanyan and Lu Lin into the cafeteria, leaving the group behind.

Inside
Zhou Yuwen opted for a simple al while the girls chose a hotpot combo. As they picked out ingredients, Yanyan playfully tugged on Lu Lin’s arm, teasing Zhou Yuwen.
Lu Lin rolled her eyes. “Can’t you two keep the flirting down?”
The trio’s banter caught the attention of Chang Hao, who approached Zhou Yuwen.
“Old Zhou,” he greeted awkwardly.
“What’s up?”
Chang Hao hesitated, then brought up the upcoming class eting. “I wanted to host a class event, maybe a talent show, but most people prefer watching a movie.”
Zhou Yuwen shrugged. “Movies work. Good way to bond.”
Chang Hao forced a smile. “You’ll bring your girlfriend?”
“Sure, if you cover the tickets.” Zhou Yuwen grinned.
Their conversation was interrupted when Yanyan returned, wrapping her arms around Zhou Yuwen. “Want a drink?” she asked sweetly.
“Only if you’re paying.”
“Of course!” Yanyan rolled her eyes playfully.
Chang Hao, feeling out of place, excused himself and returned to his group, leaving Zhou Yuwen and Yanyan laughing together.
Back at the table, Chang Hao relayed the conversation. “Old Zhou’s bringing his girlfriend to the movie night.”
His friends exchanged looks, their excitent tempered by Chang Hao’s subdued mood.
