With the Double 11 shopping festival ramping up, Zhou Yuwen recruited over 300 part-ti students for courier jobs. These workers were paid daily, and with a daily cash flow of six to seven figures, Zhou Yuwen needed reliable accountants. The suggestion to bring in Jiang Xinyi, You Changjin’s girlfriend and a finance graduate, was tily. However, Zhou Yuwen remained calm, rely agreeing to ask around.
Leaving the office, he decided to visit the Arts Departnt. Zheng Yanyan had been pestering him since his return, accusing him of neglecting her.
“You’re always busy! What’s more important than ?” she complained.
“Plenty of things,” Zhou Yuwen replied.
They bantered back and forth until Zhou Yuwen promised to et her.
While Zhou Yuwen was chatting with You Changjin, Yanyan sent him a video. She wore a cropped T-shirt and lavender yoga pants, her toned figure on full display as she stretched in the Arts Departnt’s yoga class.
“Where are you?” Zhou Yuwen asked.
“Doing yoga with the departnt,” Yanyan replied, sending another video. This ti, it featured Tao Tian leading the class. Tao wore a green yoga top and gray yoga pants, her curvy figure accentuated.
“Send more pics of your instructor,” Zhou Yuwen teased.
“Pervert! You’re staring at her again, aren’t you?” Yanyan scolded.
After a playful exchange, Zhou Yuwen drove his BMW X7 to the Arts Departnt.
At the Arts Departnt
The black BMW X7 caught attention as it parked outside the gym. Tao Tian stood with Qu Jing, another senior, chatting when they noticed Zhou Yuwen step out.
“Zhou Yuwen?” Qu Jing called, her eyes lighting up.
“Long ti no see,” Zhou Yuwen greeted.
As they exchanged pleasantries, Tao Tian remained quiet, her gaze fixed on Zhou Yuwen. Finally, he handed her an LV gift box.
“Here’s the item you asked
to get,” Zhou Yuwen said.
Qu Jing pouted. “Wow, special treatnt!”
“It’s just a favor,” Zhou Yuwen explained.
After so banter, Qu Jing left, leaving Tao Tian alone with Zhou Yuwen.
“You ca back and didn’t even tell ?” Tao Tian asked softly, a hint of resentnt in her tone.
“You didn’t ask,” Zhou Yuwen replied.
Tao Tian sighed, her eyes lingering on him. “You’re always so indifferent.”
Zhou Yuwen quickly changed the subject, asking about Yanyan. Tao Tian handed him the gift money, but Zhou Yuwen refused to accept it, heading upstairs instead.
In the yoga room, most students had left. Yanyan was busy taking selfies in front of a mirror. Zhou Yuwen surprised her, and after a brief reunion, they prepared to leave for dinner.
As they kissed, Yanyan suddenly stopped, sniffing the air. “Why do you sll like Tao Tian’s perfu?”
Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “I ran into her earlier, just talked for a bit.”
Yanyan pouted. “You’ve been avoiding
since you got back. Tell
the truth—what’s going on between you two?”
“Nothing. You’re overthinking,” Zhou Yuwen assured, pulling her close.
Yanyan, though suspicious, relented after more coaxing. Zhou Yuwen promised her a gift and dinner, which lightened her mood.
Connecting the Dots
As they drove to the dining hall, Yanyan admired the BMW’s interior. “Why didn’t you tell
about this new car?”
“It’s just a car,” Zhou Yuwen replied casually.
Yanyan suddenly connected the dots. “Wait, all this talk about Xianlin Express and student jobs—is that your business?”
Zhou Yuwen smiled. “Not bad, you figured it out.”
Yanyan was ecstatic. “You’ve been running all this behind the scenes? Amazing!”
Zhou Yuwen laughed, focusing on the road.
At Jiang Xinyi’s School
anwhile, You Changjin had called Jiang Xinyi to share the news.
“Guess what? I found you a perfect part-ti job,” he said, revealing the opportunity Zhou Yuwen offered.
Jiang Xinyi was curious. “Your student helped with this? Who is he?”
“Uh, it’s Zhou Yuwen,” You Changjin admitted after a pause.
“Zhou Yuwen?” Jiang Xinyi repeated, her tone filled with intrigue.
