Luellen flinched within her. That was the sa morning the Hearts System pinged her about her very first Love Interest. It must have responded to Leander’s attention.
Her mind wandered in Leander’s loving silence. It seed the Hearts System could detect people attracted to her ’magnetism’. Leander was logged the very mont he noticed her in the crowd. Nathan earned that spot when he first helped her in the mall.
Perhaps, there was still this other mystery. The system declined August as a Love Interest. What kind of qualifications did it need that Leander and Nathan have?
"Luellen...?"
The maiden flinched when Leander called her na. She deeply smiled at him. "Yes?"
Leander leaned closer toward her, almost pinning her against the inclined bed. "I’m serious about our marriage now. Don’t you think ill of after hearing the truth?"
Luellen pursed her lips. She looked down at their hands again. "I don’t know what to say. My father hid most of those things from . In my eyes, you’re my hero. You saved more than one person in that hospital, not just . I was only lucky to be chosen.
"When Sue told that she works in Wentworth Towers, I envied her. Then, she secretly applied for to get back on my feet." Luellen chuckled, the heat in her cheeks intensifying. "I felt so happy when I saw you again that morning. I just... You fired ."
"That wasn’t the best thing to do at that mont. I apologize."
Luellen laughed, but she pressed her knuckles against her chest. Her heart felt like it ached from the phantom tugs. "It’s okay. You fixed it. You didn’t even hesitate to treat like I was a distant niece you didn’t mind having around. I just..."
She looked up at him with sheepish eyes. "When you held in front of the mirror, sothing else took over. I... want to feel that again... That kind of warmth... That feeling of wantedness..."
Her hands held him tighter. However, they trembled. Even her vision shook and darkened.
Luellen whispered, "Leander, I can’t back out now. If you ask to leave, I won’t be able to take it."
"Luellen...!"

Luellen figured she had crashed again. She didn’t even know if she had to go through another surgery. Leander and Nathan had heard about it, and now the Hearts System gave penalties. After all, that was the third ti.
It was even dangerous for her, who had holes in her heart. Did her lack of checks leave another hole to go unnoticed again?
’...I have to... see what I can do...’
Luellen whispered within her, keeping her eyes closed. She navigated her System Shops and looked at the new items. A small smile curled her lips as the ones to make her feel better were all on top, as if the Hearts System glared at her for being irresponsible.
She bought the nutritional supplents, bound to be delivered on the next reset. The Blue Hearts also offered the potion, Luellen buying three. It was the Red Hearts Shop that surprised her. The only item listed was a Comatose Pass, worth 40 Red Hearts—all she had.
Luellen’s eyes flickered. She bought it... and it was used in an instant.
The flurry of hearts and warmth made Luellen take a deep breath. She inhaled familiar scents as if they had been lingering around her for a while now. Her eyes then opened at the presence of light on her face. She turned to the side and found a wide, glass window. The white curtain filtered the sunlight, but it still glowed in the room.
"This... isn’t the sa room I was in..." Luellen whispered. She could still feel a strange energy circulating through her body. It was as if her organs were all waking up from whatever she bought from the Red Hearts Shop.
That was the only ti she froze.
Luellen sat up imdiately, without difficulty. The System must have replenished everything to keep her from weakening. However, that was not her biggest concern at the mont. She turned to the door and the big overlooking window.
"Was I in a coma? Did I just make Leander watch over while I was in a coma?"
The maiden shrieked like she wasn’t a patient. She grabbed her hair and tried to get out of her bed. It was just that... she had a lot of drips connected to her. She checked every bag and paled the longer she read them.
Luellen sobbed. "Oh, no... Oh, no... I couldn’t have... How many days have I been here? Wait, I need to call the doctor...!"
She mashed the call nurse button in panic. However, she stopped in case they got annoyed. She only sat back down and stared at the empty hallway. Tears beaded along her eyes’ waterlines.
"Leander, I’m so sorry..." She rubbed her chest. "All he wanted was Comatose Pass, even."
"Ms Piper?" The nurse arrived and found Luellen sitting on her bed. The nurse gasped, "Ms Piper! Please lie down! You can’t be sitting."
Luellen didn’t control her tears and ended up sobbing. Her cheeks grew full, and her tears streaked down to her chin uncontrollably. She almost wheezed. "Where’s Leander? I want to see him. Can you please call him?"
...
The aura in the CEO’s office was the most suffocating. Sumr couldn’t help but notice how dark the office had beco. Ever since Luellen was rushed to the hospital, the office felt like it was slowly draining her. Even when she ca ho, her brother kept fighting with soone over the phone.
The only people allowed to see Luellen were her imdiate family. That ant they could only source news from her aunties. However, those won didn’t want to speak to them. After all, Sumr was one of those who allowed Luellen to marry Leander.
She didn’t even know why they were so against it. Was it their age? Was it sothing else?
Bang!
They heard a loud thud that ca from the CEO’s inner office. Sumr looked up, catching Houston and Madam Henny race to the door. However, the panel opened. Leander walked out with his hand holding his nose and mouth. They could even see a blood sar on his chin.
