Chapter 804: 801, Sunday’s Secret Realm (Part 2)
PS: Sorry, I got ho late today and posted these two chapters without editing them. If you see this line of text, please refresh the page after half an hour, and that will be the revised version.
Listening to Gary’s recount of the secret realm’s history, Sky Dragon gained a significant understanding of this “most top-tier secret realm on Skru Star.”
Moreover, during the process, she also learned an important piece of information—every ti the secret realm is entered, there’s at least a 50% mortality rate, aning half the people who enter will never leave.
“I finally understand why I felt there was sothing odd about this secret realm,” Sky Dragon murmured while stroking her chin and nodding silently.
She’d always felt that the secret realm was not as simple as it appeared on the surface, and now it seed she was right!
From what she had seen so far, she and the surrounding Skrull people and high-ranking Warcraft couldn’t attack each other; at least for three days now, she had not seen a single death. This was in complete contradiction to the secret realm’s reported 50% mortality rate.
If the secret realm did not allow combat and killings among them, then how were they supposed to die?
At least for now, Sky Dragon could not see an answer.
Gary, aware of what Sky Dragon was thinking, gave a wry smile and said, “To be honest, what worries and the others the most is this 50% mortality rate.
We haven’t seen any deaths in the secret realm yet, but who knows when that will start?
All we can do is pray that we’re not among the dead and manage to get out alive.”
“Hmm,” Sky Dragon tapped her chin with the index finger of her left hand, her face thoughtful.
However, after a little while, she suddenly asked, “What about before? What was it like within the secret realm before? Was it like killing bugs like this?”
“Of course not, if that were the case, I wouldn’t be so worried,” Gary quickly shook his head and responded, “Every secret realm is different. Take the last one for example, the environnt within the secret realm was a vast ocean, and the high-ranking Cultivators needed to salvage a special type of stone from the sea bed.
Also, during the last entry, Seventh Order powerhouses entered the secret realm, and there were no combat restrictions at all. Most of the casualties were caused by hostile Seventh Order powerhouses.”
“Hmm… So each secret realm is different?” pondered Sky Dragon with a thoughtful expression, “Does that an Sun City doesn’t really exist and is just an illusion?”
“It should be… I guess,” Gary wasn’t very certain himself.
However, at that mont, the armbands on both Sky Dragon’s and Gary’s shoulders lit up, emitting a bright blue light.
Sky Dragon redirected her attention to the armband, imdiately realizing it was a ssage from the lord of Sun City, beckoning them to hurry back.
The ssage was brief—The final battle is about to begin, please co imdiately to the city lord’s manor for a eting.
On receiving this ssage, both Sky Dragon and Gary felt a chill in their hearts, understanding that sothing big was about to happen!
But they couldn’t afford to delay, as there was a countdown of 5 minutes following the ssage; they had to return right now.
So, they ordered their troops to rest in place, and then both took flight back toward Sun City.
During the return journey, Sky Dragon and Gary also discussed the ssage they had just received.
“This ‘final battle’ must be the focus of this secret realm. In this battle, many people are likely to die,” Sky Dragon spoke up first.
“You’re right,” Gary nodded in agreent. “And this ‘final battle’ won’t be ordinary. We’ve spent three days gathering ‘rit Points’ in this secret realm, assembling our own troops. The final battle will surely revolve around rit Points and troops.”
“Right, let ask you one more thing,” Sky Dragon turned to look at him, “Before you entered the secret realm, did you see anyone you knew who seed to have entered too, but once inside you couldn’t find them?”
“Umm… now that you ntion it, there was soone,” Gary replied slowly while recalling, “At the entrance of the secret realm, I saw the ‘Queen Leiko’ Fanny from the Lun Kete Alliance. I entered the secret realm before her.
I thought she would follow shortly, but unexpectedly, I haven’t seen her at all until now. I even thought she had so kind of accident that delayed her from coming into the secret realm.”
“Then I should share so information too,” Sky Dragon remarked, “I think this woman you ntioned probably did co in, and she’s sowhere in the secret realm that we don’t know about.
I have a companion who entered the secret realm with , but until now, I haven’t seen where he is.”
“What? There’s such a thing!” Gary was visibly shocked.
“Forget it, let’s not talk anymore; to avoid any suspicion, we better split up,” Sky Dragon didn’t fly with Gary any longer and sped up, flying ahead.
By now, Sky Dragon had a vague understanding of what this secret realm was all about.
Perhaps she could see A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated in the final battle, hoping that in the end, they wouldn’t beco enemies.
Four minutes later, Sky Dragon flew back to Sun City and arrived at the plaza outside the city lord’s manor.
On the plaza, there were over twenty Skrull people and high-ranking Warcraft standing, and upon Sky Dragon’s arrival, everyone’s gaze imdiately turned to her with great interest.
There was now a new marble stele on the plaza outside the city lord’s manor, with wooden plaques hanging on it, indicating the “total rit Points” each adventurer had earned in the secret realm.
All the wooden plaques were arranged in nurical order, forming a simple ranking of Military rits.
Currently, Sky Dragon’s rit Points were 5856, ranking first on the leaderboard;
Ranked second was a Skrull person with only 2412 points, not even half of Sky Dragon’s total.
Because of Sky Dragon’s astonishing achievent and the fact that she was a Blue Star Person, her arrival imdiately drew the attention of everyone present.
…
Sky Dragon didn’t pay attention to the gazes of the Skrull people and high-ranking Warcraft but instead imdiately looked at the simple leaderboard and started counting the number of wooden plaques.
“1, 2, 3, 4…25,”
She stopped abruptly upon reaching 25.
This imdiately startled her.
If she rembered correctly, when she first entered the secret realm, there were 50 slots on display.
Now there were only 25 on the leaderboard; the other 25 adventurers had been transported to an unknown location.
So, could this “final battle” be their 25 people against those 25 who had gone off sowhere unknown?
The more she thought about it, the more likely it seed!
If the 50 adventurers in the secret realm fought each other, the mortality would inevitably rise above 50% when the winner was determined, which would align with the characteristics of the secret realm.
With this thought, her face turned pale.
She and A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated wouldn’t really have to face each other in the final match, where only one could survive, right?
If stepping over the bones of a comrade was the only way to leave the secret realm, then how could she go back and report to the Blue Star People?
